Patreon And YouTube Membership Refresh!
It’s been some time since we looked into our options for donations to EoJ! We had a long stretch of EoJ clean up going on and money was the last thing on our minds. However, we had to get back to it eventually! Not only because we sometimes need the funds to help support our team in a pinch, but because those who donate are nice enough to give us anything at all! EoJ is all about giving back the community and we hope these updates will do just that.
We replaced perks we honestly didn’t feel able to keep up with like merch, private group chats, priority commenting (it didn’t feel natural to how we want to run EoJ in this new era). Instead, we’re offering more details on the inner workings of EoJ in director insights and behind the scenes, some more personal blog based posts in the director’s newsletter and sometimes podcast (but this can be videos as well if feeling up to it), and assets!
Being a community focused project with volunteers, we wanted to make offerings that supported our community instead of what felt like corporate hoo ha. Insights into how we produce EoJ, tips and tricks, giving access to assets like background and rigs, and more personal perks with the newsletter which is an offering for free tier patrons who weren’t given much of anything before. We also changed up the pricing to give more affordability and bang for whatever donation amount is offered.
