Rewatched the Phantom Menace tonight. It always hurts when Qui-Gon gets killed. The maverick Jedi Master is one of my favorite characters from the whole saga.

It’s been a bit of a running joke that we as a fandom would accept an Obi-Wan movie even if it only included him sobbing over a rock in the desert, but honestly the idea has more roots in PT Legends than most might think

There’s the famous river stone Qui-Gon gave to Obi-Wan for his thirteenth birthday

…that Obi-Wan then angsted with while getting tortured

And Qui-Gon, of course, literally loved rock.

….and to top it all off, Obi-Wan gave the river stone to Anakin.

So really, it would actually be a semi-canon-compliant idea for the Obi-Wan movie to be literally about him sobbing over various solid geological mineral aggregates

I got Jar Jar Binks, which I feel is unfair and mean. Mace Windu and a tie between Jyn, Orson, and Cassian were my runner up results. All my favorite characters such as Anakin, Luke, Finn, and Padme were at the very bottom with one or two matches.

Hmm. I guess I really would just be the annoying fangirl jumping around the cool kids going “look at me” so perhaps I cannot protest too hard.
