her mother is abusive towards chloe, easily seen with how she treats chloe. talks down to her, makes her feel unworthy, seems to care for other kids more than her, doesn't remember chloe's name.

theres a difference between ATTENTION and attention. her father pays ATTENTION, bit he doesn't pay attention.

if he did he'd realize his daughter needs help and would get her into therapy and wouldnt let her go all veruka salt every damn time.

she doesn't want to help people???? what about in the episode where her dad got traumatized

or the episode where she used the god damn queen bee signal.

do you even know your own characters, or do you kist backpedal your memories like you do with their development?

today, queen is going to talk about the main kids. she’s going to say the ( canon ) flaws && strength’s along with how i personally would rewrite them.

MARINETTE

flaws: she doesn’t know how to say no, she lies ( even if someones its for a good reason, it is still a flaw ), she takes up to much to not let others down, and yes you don’t see the ‘ stalking adrien ‘ here, because that’s not a flaw, even if asstruck would like you to think it is. strength’s: she’s kind, she’s smart. she cares for others, and would sacrifice herself for others which you can argue is a flaw but i think that’s strong. she doesn’t let these things make her weak. rewrite: if i rewrote marinette. i would firstly erase the clumsy, blushing ‘ h-h-h-h-hi ad..drien ‘ crap from her character. it’s not cute, its just dumb. i wouldn’t have her lie over the simple things ( ie: i forgot something ( proceeds to stalk the boys instead ), no using ladybug for personal gain ( ie: bubbler, ie: chat blanc )

It really ticks me off when people seem to forget ( even the WRITERS ) that Alya hasn’t been there that long. She hasn’t known Marinette that song. ( like that comment about how Chloe’s been class rep since Kindergarten. How would you even know ?? ) 

Nino has been friends with Marinette longer and you get no information on this and we deserve more information.

Alya ( and I love her, but c’mon girl ) has clearly had the mindset of finding out Ladybug’s identity since the start of the series. Which lowkey confuses me because if she’s such a fan of superheroes then wouldn’t she know?? That telling the world who you are? leads? to you being attacked? or your family attacked?

I mean hell she was so willing to use the found school book to figure out who Ladybug was. I wouldn’t put it past her to spill the secret if she found out.

I really wish Miraculous didn’t use that stereotype of the girl being clumsy and flustered and always stuttering around her crush. It’s overused and really dumb when it’s clear that Marinette isn’t like that at all and it’s just a way to keep her from confessing to Adrien.

Marinette shouldn’t be able to have the power to wear a handful of Miraculouses and nothing bad happen to her like she did when she became Multimouse.

True, aren’t there usually repercussions for having that much power in shows like MLB? Like, the overload of Miraculouses could have made Marinette weaker, or maybe corrupted her, or something. I just want Marinette to be showed as flawed as a superhero sometimes.

They briefly showed Marinette having a dizzy spell before pulling herself together and being fine. Fu commented on how that many Miraculous make people go crazy & then once Marinette left Fu and Wayzz both made a comment on how strong she is and yada yada.

Okay wait, a weird thing with ml writing is when Chloe did the same shit (just putting them on not the transforming part) she didn't get a dizzy spell like Marinette.

Hi! That’s one of (bc hoo boy) our biggest faults with that episode, as well as Multimouse. If you establish, in canon, the consequences of a specific action, then you need to follow up on those consequences. Chloe probably should’ve passed out completely, Marinette should have too. Just bc they’re main characters doesn’t mean that they should be immune to consequences.

before we get started: mind you, we all hate puppeteer 2 the most. it’s just a very icky, creepy, nasty episode that shouldn’t have been aired. the only good thing about it was adrien fighting hawkmoth. 

MOD QUEEN:

FAVORITE: hard to choose, as i really love the origin episodes, but also many others. thoughi think i have to go with the origin episodes. it shows a lot on how they started out, and the relationship and the animation was so beautiful LEAST FAVORITE: okay, flat out? puppeteer 2. like that’s my least favorite i hate it. its icky, but one that i really hate for other reasons?  desperada. i don’t think it was handled well, it showed both our heroes in horrible light, and it was just a big mess. TORN OVER: reflekdoll. i’m really torn because it could have been a great episode. kwami swap, them leaning how to handle each others powers and stepping into each others shoes. however the whole episode was chat noir having trouble as ladybug, and ladybug being kinda mean the whole time. i get that chat often jokes about the item she gets, but that’s because she gets things like spoons or blankets, he doesn’t actually insult her as ladybug -  meanwhile she was insulting him a lot.

MOD LUNA:

FAVORITE are the Heroes day Arc, and Ladybug,   LEAST FAVORITE are both Puppeteers and Dark Owl, bc it felt like they kinda bullied Mr. Damecles before it got better. Also I'm torn on Party Crasher, I loved seeing all the boys (tm) get together and have fun, but Marinette kinda ruined it. Also Fu what are you doing you IDIOT. And Kwamibuster. I would've loved to have seen someone other than Marinette, who should've had a buncha repercussions for that many Miraculi, but like... introducing another classmate as a user would've been kinda cool

MOD BUNBUN:

Favorite episodes: Bakerix, I really enjoyed the plot to this one. It’s simple and I found it sweet that Mari reunited her family. She really shines in this episode. Syren, I love Kim so how can I not like this episode? Anything with underwear Sven’s is gonna interest me. Also, the akuma is really cool. Kwami Buster, it’s just fun to watch. One of my favorite akumas as well. Zombizou, I love zombies and I love zombie movie tropes. Chloe is pretty good in this episode. Heroes day 1 & 2, awesome! I loved seeing them team up and the way mayura was introduced was fantastic! Darkblade, one of my favorite akumas. The interactions with the class were fun. Least favorite episodes: Animistro, I would’ve loved to see them react to the news of the movie, but everything else was just...I don’t like seeing Marinette act like that. It makes me feel uncomfortable. Frozer, I really didn’t like Kagmai in this one. She just seemed rude to me. But my main issue was probably that I really liked the akuma and not getting enough of him frustrated me. Stormy weather 2, oh my got I felt so ripped off. I like flashbacks and all but I wanna see the fight! I wanted to see Stormy Weather! This episode felt like when you buy something you saw on TV but it was a scam. It’s also really boring. How do you make worldwide doom boring!? I’m surprised this one doesn’t get attention. At least Chameleon had some action in it ya know?

MOD PETAL:

Favorite Episode: Uhhh maybe Chat Blanc, Ladybug, Felix, or Feast? For season 3. I need to do a rewatch for the other two seasons but I enjoyed those ones because they involved some nice Nathalie/Mayura moments. Least favorite episode: Loveater, Miracle Queen, and Kawmibuster. The first two because it destroys the character develop Chloé had in the show so far. I also see it having a lot of problems. Kawmibuster because Marinette is a teenage girl and shouldn’t be able to wield however many miraculous she had on and be perfectly fine. Episode I’m torn over: Reflekdoll. I really like the idea of Chat Noir & Ladybug having to which Miraculous and becoming Mister Bug & Lady Noir but how it was done & how they acted towards each other needed to be changed. And… more but yea.

I want backstories on Chloé & Nino specifically. They’re suppose to Marinette’s biggest enemy and longest friend. They have know each other since they were kids. I want to see more of thay. How Chloé became the enemy and how Nino became the best friend. We need more backstories with all of them but these two are something extra special.

I actually have an answer to this.

Standing up to bullies isn’t something easy to do, even if the person being bullied is someone you care a lot about. Its very common for people ( even more so younger teenagers ) to sit on the sidelines in fear of also being bullied.

It’s not an excuse, at all. As I do wish Nino would stand up for not only himself but for Marinette and the rest of the class. Though it does have a real world feeling to it.

princess fragrance episode: marinette ACTUALLY, CANONLY LOSES HER KWAMI and chases her around the whole town while chat noir is out there fighting by himself

You can like whatever characters you want. People shouldn’t be making you feel bad for it. Even if a character is poorly written, you can still like them. Even if a character does bad things, you can still like them. Even if they’re hated on in the fandom, you can still like them.

It’s okay. You don’t owe anyone a long essay.

1. He gives the miraculous, not just any miraculous but the two most POWERFUL miraculous. To two FOURTEEN/FIFTEEN year old children. Who have had no experience in the real world, and are now being thrown into a situation where they could die.

2. He doesn't teach them, he doesn't train them. When he finally meets one of them ( Ladybug ) he tells her NOT to tell Chat Noir and doesn't go off to talk to Chat until he almost gives up his miraculous due to being lied to, and Ladybug tells Master Fu she doesn't like lying to him.

3. S3 finale, he's making Marinette the guardian for real, and honestly I don't agree with it. She's to young to be the guardian, she can hardly do her job as Ladybug mixed with her civilian life. Him giving her this job is setting her up for a lot of drama, sleepless nights, and just. Its to much for a child to handle.

4. another thing is in the episode where the boys throw a party. He, knowing that he’s in DANGER. He goes to this party, risking his life and the kwami and the miraculous holder.

I feel like Master Fu could have had a great story, and could have been a great mentor. However how he handled situations, how he handled training these kids. Isn't right. A mentor should, be a mentor. Should train, teach, help, but he did none of this, and in the end. He was more willing to take the kwamis that these kids have had for at least a year now and runaway without explanation instead of telling them what was going on, which again imo is a coward move.

I’m rewatching Miraculous and I’d just like to say.

In the kwami-swap episode, Marinette was being really rude. Going on and on about how easy Chat Noir’s job is, which it really isn’t. He’s constantly putting himself into danger to protect her && civilians. Like yeah he’s comedy relief but that doesn’t make his job any easier.

Also Chat having difficulties with Ladybug’s power makes so much sense imo? Adrien is more straight forward while Marinette finds difficult ( but effective ! ) ways to handle a situation. Both ways work in the end, of course but I think it’s something to think about.

I wish Marinette would have had more trouble being Chat Noir, it makes no sense for her to INSTANTLY know what to do, same with Multimouse and using the other Kwamis.

She should have drawbacks!!! She isn’t perfect!!! Stop making her look perfect!!

Ay yo designers. I get Ladybug is the guardian, and that's cool and all, but why did she get the ugliest miracle box I've ever seen?! It's... an egg... with spots.

You mean to tell me that Marinette "Fashion designer" Dupain-Cheng wouldn't have a decent Ladybug design? There are so many options and I'm not mad. Just disappointed.
