i really do want to get to work on my comic but i think it would be really cool to have some sort of online collaborative shonen jump type publication where a bunch of artists got together to release updates at the same time on one platform

it would be the kick for deadlines my adhd ass needs and i generally am more productive when i’m in a group setting, also lesser known artists could get more traffic by proxy through other artists

i really like talking about animation, however the format of bcd was inherently negative. showcasing what i deemed ‘bad’ which began as a lot of funny stuff but really didn’t give the platform for discussion or branching out and caused reactionary responses because the title was “bad character design”, especially when it spiraled into over 50k followers all asking me if X was bad and why. i’d bring it back as something similar if i had the time, i’ve even been thinking of a video format just neutrally titled something about animation/design including tutorials, or maybe group podcast. too bad only things labeled as ‘bad’ or ‘THE WORST MISTAKE DREAMWORKS EVER MADE’ is what gets #views

but imo what makes an animation equivalent harder is because design/writing is completely subjective. architecture and biology have solid rules and accuracy you can’t break or really argue with those blogs about, but animation is a free for all. sure there’s also technical rules in animation to follow but the only work that really falls into that would be picking apart pure shit like foodfight or sir billy which is the lowest hanging fruit everyone’s done.

hey guys

ive been really busy lately and by busy i mean hardly busy just preoccupied with other thoughts. i basically learned the other week i most definitely have ADHD and i’m getting tested for it, which would explain why i run 7 different blog, are active for a small while, then abandon everything once i lose interest

the other news is i changed urls and set this blog to private, because im now looking for animation jobs and running this blog is a surefire way to burn every bridge in the industry. im not sure what i’ll do with this blog, i might remake with another animation related blog idk. i’ll see what happens

thank you for the outpouring of support!! i’m seeing people are sad that this blog is ‘dead’ which isnt the sentiment i have. maybe this blog specifically as a platform for my thoughts is, but i still live on the internet and run my mouth every day

ill never stop talking about movies, because thats just what i impulsively do. its just that running a blog of photos going ‘haha look at this’ isnt really that captivating to me

im more interested in theory and talking about almost philosophy/ethics in film as an entertainment genre. i’d love to do something in the vein of short essays, which i used to do here. maybe i’ll start some sort of spinoff blog, maybe even not on tumblr, which i’ll update whenever i feel i have something to talk about. i’d also love to talk on stream and stuff, so definitely dont think i’m leaving. i’m just regrouping my thoughts, and trying to cope with my executive dysfunction because these are all things i really want to do!! i just struggle to start them and keep it going
