My zine, A Land of Wildness, is finally out and ready to ship :)

Comprising of 17 pieces of prose and 2 loose prints, A Land of Wildness is a literal and visual intimacy. The photographs are loose by design and printed on creamy, glossy fibre paper to offset the toothy, matte texture of the text stock. The chapbook itself has two covers - a peach dust jacket with iridescent foil stamping and a lemon yellow inside cover. A Land of Wildness is 6 x 4.5 inches and printed in a limited edition of 80. Christopher Rodriguez featured on An Ocean in the City

Christopher Rodriguez’s work highlights the alluring artificiality of our surroundings through banal yet striking scenes. His photographs, both constructed and captured, all seem out of this world though strangely familiar. He just published a beautiful monograph, Sublime Cultivation, with Conveyor Arts, that I was lucky to come across at the LA Art Book Fair.

Originally trained in architecture, Christopher earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2008. He currently lives in Brooklyn where he teaches photography at Montclair State University, and is the head of artistic production at James Casebere Studio.
