freddie gave the other a sympathetic look, shrugging his shoulders. “don’t be sorry, i know it happens.” he was casual about it, but he also wanted to get it out of his head. “you wanna.. i don’t know, cuddle?”

freddie had laid down right beside the other, soon pressing his body close to jay's, a soft smile forming. "i trust you. most parents are.. a little.. like that."

freddie was a self-preclaimed accident prone.. person, if that made sense. he’d bump into people and then he’d mind it like it wasn’t his business, when it was. sometimes, he would get the urge to just SIMPLY bump into people – in hopes of making a friend, maybe. or meeting someone he hasn’t seen in quite some time. a small look at the girl and he let out a small, sheepish laugh, shaking his head. “i’m still sorry,” he tells her, giving her a much more familiar expression. “jasmine – how could i f o r g e t? how’ve you been?”

              confusion surrounded her thoughts,   he was either trying to be funny or had bumped his head;    HARD.   nevertheless,   she was dedicated to continue the conversation  just  to see what it would lead up to.   ❛    how could you,    really.    ❜   the girl repeated his words playfully,   a soft shrug following her voice.    ❛   i’ve been doing quite good.   how about you   ?    ❜   once again,   she was on the  VERGE  of bursting in laughter,   but held it together eventually.

he had prepared himself for the worst - maybe the best, but still. if anything, he was trying to make things light on his part. "i'm sorry!" he apologizes, wondering if it was good enough for her. "i've been.. good, quitting my habits," he says, a small smile as he looks at her.

“not.. here..” he mumbled, his eyes on the door as he saw it open, noticing a woman in the doorway; a gulp as he looked at her, then at jay, fiddling with his fingers as he looked away really quickly, biting down on his lower lip, not trying to attract any attention from him, really. as he heard the door and close, he didn’t know what to do until jay had come back from talking to his mom, a slight smile forming as he saw the other in the room again. “it’s okay, don’t worry about it.”

“i… yeah, i’m really sorry. i…” jay sighed softly, “i just really don’t know what to say. i didn’t… yeah. i’m sorry.” he got deadly quiet, looking down at his feet. “so…”

“you miss the quiet, don’t you?” he asks, a small smile at him, looking around a bit. “the feeling’s mutual, man. it’s better than home.”

“well, where is home?” jay asked curiously, before hearing his door fly open. he winced slightly as he saw his mom, standing up quickly. “hey, mum… what’s up?” she almost growled as she spoke, “jason, you know i don’t like visitors.” he swallowed hard, moving towards the door. “i know, mum. but it’s time for bed anyways so lets get you there…” he noticed that the track marks on her arms were clearly visible so he quickly moved into the hallway and closed the door. he took her to her room and get her in bed, sighing when she threw her clock at him, letting it hit the wall. “’night, mum. i’ll make breakfast in the morning.” he picked up the clock and set it on her night stand, walking back to his room and shutting the door. he locked it before sitting back down, “sorry about that.”

“for sure. i have three roommates so… it’s never fucking quiet.” jay smiled slightly, “so, it’s good to be home. i love it here. more than anything.”

“being back has been so fuckin’ boring. like… where’s all the action at?” jay chuckled, folding his leg under his braced leg. “uni was far more interesting, but i missed the small town and the people.”

jay led the other boy up the stairs and into his room, flipping on the lights, “ignore the boxes. i still haven’t unpacked from uni.” he flopped on the bed and sat up, “come, sit.”

“me too.” jay finished drying off and strapped the brace back on, smiling slightly, “ready?” he head into the house, flipping off the porch lights.

jay laughed softly, “probably.” he rubbed at his knee sighing, “you’re not half bad yourself.” now that the smoke had cleared, jay was forced to actually think. he smiled slightly, “so…”
