â is it me sheâll drag around, or you? I mean if I claim I had no idea I was supposed to be there⊠â taking his hair down from its bun, harry shot the ginger before him a mischievous smirk. â your mum has always gone easy on me, after all. â a small boon for his abusive childhood, he supposed. â molly Iâm so sorry, I would have turned up but you know how ron is, probably meant to tell me on thursday but then he got to rifling around for snacks⊠â
it was always moments like these ones that managed, ever so slightly, to set harryâs skin on edge. they felt too normal, too calm. meals with family, teasing his friends, being able to function as if the world wasnât going to come to a halt again and how he managed to handle it all wouldnât determine the fate of hundreds, thousands of lives. years later and harry still didnât always know how to do it. he soldiered through none the less.
â does she want me to bring teddy, dâyou know? â
"You wouldnât dare!â Ron shot up, sending a few more papers fluttering about in the process. The very idea of receiving his motherâs wraith was enough to send chills up his spine. It didnât matter that Ron was a full grown adult, his mother still terrified him from time to time. He knew all too well that Harry would absolutely feign innocence when it came to skipping out on a family dinner.
He didnât actually relax until Harry questioned on whether or not he should bring Teddy, because that meant he was planning on going... hopefully. âOf course she wants ya to. I think she has a new sweater for him.â he mused, trying to remember all of the things she had written in his letter.
âHey what are you doing after work? I was thinking about going to visit George at the store, wanna come with?â
