What an event!
I am very much looking forward to all of the fun and games.
I swear this is the only room I am comfortable in
“Oh sorry! My bed is very comfortable but I feel so closed in inside of my room. I hope you do not mind. I will gladly help in any way I can while I am here. I’m Frejya.”
“Of course, I do not mind. It’s a nice change to finally have someone healthy around instead of only the ill. It’a pleasure to meet you, my lady. My name is sister Rosemary”
“I thank you kindly Sister Rosemary. You do a wonderful job here. I have seen you a few times with the patients. You are very attentive and kind.”

Frejya giggled lightly at the thought of this young woman’s father cutting down trees in anger. “Sounds as though your father is a bit overprotective.” She laughed then halted immediately. “I apologize for my words. I spoke out of turn.” It was something Frejya did too often. “To answer your question, yes. It’s almost as if I am in an entirely different place.”
♔|♱ “Protectiveness generally stems from care, I would rather be overly cared for than not at all,” she said, waving off the apologies. “Do you wish you were in an entirely different place, my lady?”
Frejya had to think for a moment. Did she wish she was in another place? “Not entirely I suppose. I’m new so I do not know many people and this is a change but the place is lovely.” Her thoughts wandered for a moment to the party and the man she shared a dance with and she smiled. No, she did not wish to be somewhere else.
I swear this is the only room I am comfortable in
“Yes… You look quite… Comfortable.”
“Your majesty. I did not mean to intrude.”

“I did assume that your own bed would be more comfortable than my hospital beds, my lady. Of course you’re always welcome to come here.”
“Oh sorry! My bed is very comfortable but I feel so closed in inside of my room. I hope you do not mind. I will gladly help in any way I can while I am here. I’m Frejya.”

I think I could get used to this.

“I climbed. I know it is not looked upon as lady like. I will climb down, certainly not fall down.” She laughed. “Please, do not be sorry, you did not disturb me. Perhaps you would like to try and climb up?”
♔|♱ “It may not be lady-like but I am rather impressed,” Ana laughed as her gaze returned to the woman above. “As much as I may like to try, I fear my father would have every tree cut down if he were to catch me. I would be better off with my feet on the ground.” With a gentle smile, she adjusted her skirts as she sat down on the grass, resting her book in her lap. “Do you do this often, my lady?”

“Norway, you are correct. My mother sent me here to become a proper lady, something that wasn’t do-able there I suppose. I haven’t made many friends here, kept mostly to myself.” Frejya sighed. She hadn’t wanted to leave home, to come to a place in which she didn’t know a soul but the change in scenery was nice.
┆❁ — Such was common practise, Constance herself had spent a great deal of time in her younger years in the service of the late Queen of France, her mother telling her to learn and listen from her. “Well, I am Lady Constance Wilmont, I would not mind showing you around a little, should you wish it.”
Frejya was taken aback by Constance’s kindness, something that wasn’t shown much to the blonde since she had arrived. “I thank you kindly my lady. I am Frejya, it is a pleasure to meet you.”
“S…sorry, I think I have stumbled in to the wrong room. It is too easy o get turned around here. I…I could try and help if you’d like?”
“I would not wish to bore you with such nonsense madam. –What room was it that you’re looking for?”
“I was looking for the library sir, but I wouldn’t mind helping you with your task if it would hasten it.”

Frejya had been leaning against the trunk of the tree, her leg hanging down swinging back and forth, her eyes on the sky when she found someone calling up to her. “I am terribly sorry if I frightened you. I was just searching for a quiet spot to watch the sun set. It is not too easy to find a quiet spot around here sadly.” She smiled. “I am sorry if I disturbed you.”
♔|♱ “No no, I’m sorry if I disturbed you.” Ana curved a hand to shield her eyes from the glare of the setting sun, being able to see the woman in the tree much better. “How did you get up there? More importantly, how will you get down?” she asked as she looked the tree over, unsure of how she would even begin to climb a tree.
“I climbed. I know it is not looked upon as lady like. I will climb down, certainly not fall down.” She laughed. “Please, do not be sorry, you did not disturb me. Perhaps you would like to try and climb up?”
“Have you come to help me in this everlasting task?” Richard husked as eyes scanned each portrait. “I suggest you do not waste your time. They all look like over-fed fish.”
“S...sorry, I think I have stumbled in to the wrong room. It is too easy o get turned around here. I...I could try and help if you’d like?”
“Perhaps.” She made a noncommittal shrug and smiled. “They very well may be stories of you but I wouldn’t know for sure. Maybe if that speak of that devilish smirk of yours.” Her eyes flickered towards his lips for a moment before returning to the crowd. Snatching up a glass from a passing tray, Frejya lifted it to her lips and took a slow sip letting her thoughts trail to what kind of disasters would arise in the morning. She couldn’t help but giggle in to her glass knowing there would be plenty to talk about with the way people were carrying on. The blonde turned her head towards her companion, catching his eye with her own. “Do you plan on giving people something to discuss in the morning?”4
His mind was already wandering down that wonderful path of what tomorrow morning would bring with all the massively hungover party guests and overly talkative maids spreading scandle about like wildfire. It was a show he’d much rather watch than be apart of. His majesty had already promised a certain frenchwoman a hot drink and cushioned chairs from which they could watch the chaos ensue whilst cackling at others misfortune to be in such a predicament. “I do my best to keep the rumors away from the Polish Court but I am a man. However I do have a prior engagement to tend to in the morning before sun up.”
Frejya merely raised an eyebrow at the stranger’s words. “Nothing good ever comes from the words ‘before sun up’.” She laughed lightly. It seemed as though no one in this castle was safe from being sucked in to the scandalous life. Her mother may have sent her here to learn, but she was sure this was not the intended lessons. “Perhaps I should have stayed in Norway.” She muttered under her breath before downing the last of the liquid in her glass. “Is it always so active around here?” The blonde turned her head towards the man aside her.

“No, to be honest, I havent explored the inside much. I prefer the outdoors more but I will have to seek it out if you claim the view to be exquisite.” She smiled down at the girl beneath her.
┆❁ — “Tis indeed.” Constance gave another nod, affirming her prior words. “Where is it you hail from, my lady? Your accent reminds me that of those whom hold Denmark’s court - or perchance it is a Norwegian one?”
“Norway, you are correct. My mother sent me here to become a proper lady, something that wasn’t do-able there I suppose. I haven’t made many friends here, kept mostly to myself.” Frejya sighed. Frejya wandered the courtyard midst the flowers and sun nearing the evening. It had just begun to lower sending everything in to tones of gold, purple and pink. This was Frejya’s favorite time of the day, opting to be out in it as much as possible.
Glancing around for anyone nearby she was relieved to find no one around, probably still nursing their heads after the party. Quickly, she gathered her skirts and clambered up the tree, settling on a branch low enough it wouldn’t cause much harm if she fell but high and hidden enough that no one would catch her.
♔|♱ With a book from the castle’s library in hand, Ana sought out the best place where she could read in peace. But finding a quiet place inside was incredibly difficult so she turned her sights to the gardens. It may not have been as quiet as she would have liked but the air was perfectly cool, not so much that it was cold, and the sky looked beautiful. But while her blue gaze watched the artwork of colour in the sky she wasn’t paying attention to the tree near by, nor the person in it. and the sound of movement in the branches startled her. “Oh! ..What are you doing up there?”
