A gasp burst past her lips as she ran into the man. Her hands came up to grasp onto his arms in a weak attempt to stop herself from falling, though she’d actually managed to have run into them hard enough to topple them both over. She let out a soft grunt as they landed, her face contorted into one of complete and total embarrassment and pain. Lara picked her head up from his chest and gave him a slight smile, her face far too close to his. “I’m totally fine. A little embarrassed, but I’m not dead, so that’s a start,” she said and pushed herself off him with an uncomfortable. “God, I’m so sorry for whatever the hell that was.”
Aside from the initial shock of it all, he wasn’t too bothered by it. He sat up, and brushed himself off a bit, gaze landing back on her. “Oh, don’t worry about it. You’re okay, I’m okay, so it’s no big deal,” David said as he stood up, offering a hand to her. “Let’s stay off the ground, though. A pretty lady like you doesn’t belong down there.”
