Demon-blooded smiled almost sweetly, white teeth showing — the predator always shows fangs, it’s a warning, don’t come closer, I will hurt you, come on, try me -– and he moved from the table.
He shouldn't agree. Too unstable, too quick to lash out, too needy of blood.
“Isabelle,” Sebastian’s voice was soft as he bows his head a little in greeting. “It will be an honor… I could never be too busy for that.”
She grinned when he accepted the invitation. “That’s exactly what I wanted to hear. My usual victims are not around at the moment so I guess you’ll do,” she mused. She nodded for him to follow her toward the training room.
“What were you doing before I stole you away?” she asked, curious.
sassyxlightwood·:
“Well, a majority of the people do. Among a few other words, I’d rather not repeat.” He admitted before frowning. He didn’t know why he was so afraid to tell Isabelle he was gay, considering that she probably would be the only one in the family that understood that but he was worried that she’d hate him or treat him differently. “Yeah, I guess so.”
Isabelle furrowed her eyebrows, “Do I have to kick someone’s ass? Because you know I will.” She saw the emotion change in her brother and sighed. Alec wasn’t sensitive per se, but Isabelle knew how to read his emotions. She moved, sitting next to him and putting her arm on his shoulder. “Alec, you don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with,” she started. “I just know someone will see you for the amazing person you are and I don’t want to miss on it.”

Clary blinked a few times, listening to the girl and looking even more lost and confused than before. “I… I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’m really sorry,” She stated softly, flushing a bit when the girl said she was starting to believe it, “I don’t have any tattoos and I don’t know what you mean by glamouring or anything? I mean, Magic isn’t real, I was just teasing in Harry Potter terms…”
She felt a little sheepish, but then chuckled at Izzy’s introduction. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Izzy? I’m Clary. Clary Fray.” She smiled and motioned for Izzy to sit with her if she wanted, adding then, “And you’re going to tell me how my world is about to change…?”
“Nice to meet you, Clary,” she said with a grin. She hummed in though, “How do I put this right,” she mused to herself more than anything. “Do you see these marks on my skin?” she asked, showing off her runes on her neck and collar bone--which could easily be seen by the low cut of her dress. “They’re runes. I know they look like tattoo’s, but they’re not. They give me special abilities when I need them to--with this,” she said, fishing out her own stele and holding it out for Clary to see. “The reason I can do that is because I’m not fully mundane, er, human I mean,” she said. “I’m a Shadowhunter, and so are you.”
“And before you freak out--just think about it. Have you noticed that you’re slightly different from everyone else? That maybe you feel different and you can see things that you haven’t before?”
sassyxlightwood·:
“So I’ve been told. Well I either get told that or that I need to get laid because I am so damn grumpy.” Alec rolled his eyes at that comment before looking over at her and sighed. “Okay, okay. I’ll go. I mean, I guess. I just don’t have time to date right now, don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up.” He shrugged.
Isabelle rolled her eyes, “No one’s allowed to say that to you except for me,” she said. She hummed, a playful smile on her lips. “Of course, big brother,” she said placing a hand on his brother. “But you says you have to date? Just do what I do and see them once and never seen them again.”

“Well, I figure it’s rude to kick your own sister out of your room, so I let you stay till you annoy me.” Alec smiled at her before groaning. “Why is your answer always a rave? You know I hate those damn things. Last time you dragged me to one, I kept getting hit on, it was weird.”
“You’ve always been such a sweetheart,” she mused, teasing him. “Because it’s fun, Alec. Come on,” she pleaded. She chuckled at his words, “Well, can you blame them? We’re the most attractive siblings there ever was-- and yes, that includes Jace.”
littlemissfray:
“No?” Clary looked curious then, “And what is it, if it isn’t an invisibility cloak then? What could make you think that people can’t see you?” She paused, looking a little confused too as the girl spoke, and slowly tilted her head to the side. “A… Stele?” She stated slowly, “An institute? You mean like a college or something? I did get accepted into the Brooklyn Academy of Art, but I wouldn’t say institute…” She paused, thinking this over and then looked up at the girl again. “Wait, a rune on me? I don’t have any tattoos or anything,” she shrugged, “I’m sorry?”
Isabelle furrowed her eyebrows, confused the girl seemed to have no idea about her own history. “A rune,” she said as though it was obvious. “You know, it glamours us to mundanes don’t see us doing patrols.” As the red head went on, Isabelle slowly realized that this girl was a mundane--that she had no idea the Shadow World existed. But how was that possible? Isabelle has never heard of new Shadowhunters before. “Right. I’m starting to believe you have no idea what I’m talking about.”
“I’m Isabelle, by the way, most people call me Izzy,” she introduced with a smile on her lips. “I figured I should introduce myself before I tell you how your world is about to change.”
torixmoon·:
Victoria heard a voice and the young vampire looked up before noticing someone was staring at her. “I-It’s not what it looks like, I swear.” She told them, and the fear was evident in her eyes. “I didn’t mean to hurt him. Please, help me.”
Isabelle pursed her lips at the vampire. “It’s fine,” she sighed, deciding not to go on her rant about breaking the Accords. She bent down, checking the mundane’s pulse. “He’s still alive.”
sassyxlightwood·:
Alec couldn’t help but smile when he heard his sister’s voice and closed his book before looking up at her. He couldn’t really be mad at her for sneaking into his room, Alec loved his sister and even with his moods, he did like her company. “Yeah, so I have noticed. You’ve been sneaking in here since you could walk.” He chuckled softly. “Yeah, I was bored too. Well, we can go do something? I just don’t know what. I’m a boring person remember.”
“And you have yet to kick me out,” she mused with a grin. “That says you secretly love being bothered.” Isabelle lounged across Alec’s bed, crossing her ankles. “You’re not boring, Alec,” she stressed. Even though she was the first to call him boring, Izzy never liked when Alec said something bad about himself. “You’re just...grumpy, and that’s why you have me--to come up with great ideas. We can see if there’s a Downworlder rave tonight,” she smirked. “Those are always fun.”

“Little red riding hood I’d like to hold you if I could But you might think I’m a big bad wolf so I won’t
What a big heart I have The better to love you with Little red riding hood Even bad wolves can be good
I try to keep satisfied Just to walk close by your—”
Celine froze the moment she noticed another within the room. Her heart beat fast, she instantly stopped strumming the guitar and laid to the ground beside her. “I-I…” She struggled to find the right words. “It was a song… a song I used to know so I… I mean I haven’t played in a while so…” She felt embarrassed. A breath escaped her lips. “Sorry to bother you.” She finished lamely.
“It’s okay,” Izzy shrugged with a smile on her lips. “Your voice is amazing. You’re what I think I sound like in the shower,” she teased with a grin. “I’m just glad you’re settling into the Institute okay.”
taintedwvngs·:
“Alright, you summoned me. What for?” The demon sighed, rolling her eyes. “And don’t waste my time. As it is precious and I get quite impatient.”
“I didn’t summon you,” Isabelle sighed, not in the mood to banish a demon today, but of course, she had to. “I think a mundane did before I scared them off.”
littlemissfray:
Clary furrowed her brows and tilted her head to the side as the girl spoke. “Yes?” She stated slowly, “Am I not supposed to be able to see you?” She shifted a little to sit up a bit more, moving her bag off the bench and watching the other carefully. Why would she ask if she could see her? Was this a game or something? Clary had no idea, and it concerned her a little.
“If you have an invisibility cloak and I’m not supposed to see you right now, I have to tell you that it’s completely malfunctioning, because I can see you just perfectly,” She added then, motioning with the paperweight still in her hand, at how easy it was for her to see the girl.
Isabelle chuckled at her words, “Not a cloak, exactly, but you’re pretty close,” she mused. Her eyes widened at the stele that the girl mindlessly motioned around. “But...you have a stele,” she said, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Are you from a different Institute? I don’t see a rune on you.”
littlemissfray·:
Clary had grabbed her sketch book and headed out in the morning before her mother was awake, as she’d grown used to doing lately. She made her way to the park, settling on a bench; sitting with her legs crossed and using that to lay her sketch book on. However, the longer she sat there, the less inspiration was coming to her, and she let out a soft sigh.
She reached into her pocket, pulling out the paperweight that her mother had given her, and started looking it over again. Still it made no sense to her; the symbols that were on it, the way that they were the same things she’d been drawing without realizing it. What was supposed to be just a simple paperweight, she thought, was turning into a bigger headache than she assumed it would be.
Absently, she began twirling it in her fingers, lost in thought and just wondering if she should head back home and speak to her mother. It was then that she heard footsteps and her head shot up, confused and asking, “Can I help you?”
Isabelle was sending texts on her phone as she made her way back home. It wasn’t unusual for Isabelle to wonder away from the Institute. After she checked back in after patrol, she was usually gone an half an hour later-- whether that be going out or her usual dalliance with Downworlders. She knew her mother disapproved, but Isabelle didn’t care. Anything was better than staying cooped up in the Institute with nothing to do but wait for another mission.
She bit down on her bottom lip when she heard a voice. “You can see me?”
daemoniumxsanguis·:
He was lacking control — he should put more focus on that. There was clawing in his chest, sharp and hurting, screaming and growling inside his mind, the craving for sweet taste and smell of blood, to get his hands nice wet with it, to paint the Institute with it, leaving bodies all around — he wanted, he longed, he needed it now now now.
Biting hard on the inside of his cheek, Sebastian closed his eyes, fingers clenching on the edge of the table. No; this wasn’t smart, not in this situation. Maybe he could… later, somewhere, some unimportant mundane.
But not here - you don’t make a mass in place you live in.
Blonde tilted his head a little while hearing steps, swallowing the ichor and taking a deep breath before mask slipped on his face again. Sebastian turned, smiling friendly to the other person. “Hello there,” he said, voice warm and purr. “Can I help you with something?”
Isabelle continued to wrap wrist as she walked through the Institute to the training room. She raised her manicured eyebrow as she saw a figure leaning against a table. She couldn’t place an identity because of lighting, but he looked strained almost--it worried Isabelle.
She blinked when she all of the tension left his shoulders and Sebastian flashed her a smile.
“Hi,” she said, just as pleasant. “Are you busy? I’m looking for a sparring partner.”
sassyxlightwood·:
“Normally when someone puts a ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door, they assume that a person will actually read it and walk away. Everyone except you.” Alec replied before looking up from his book and sat up on his bed. “What do you want?” He asked, frustration evident in his voice.
Isabelle grinned, closing Alec’s door and plopping down on his bed as if it were her own. “You say that every time I come in here, big brother,” she mused, rolling her eyes. “I’m bored. I’m just seeing what you were up to, which, of course is reading.”
HOPE
Hope didn’t speak, only grinned her answer, guilt written all over her mischievous face. She followed the brunette’s movments with her eyes, laughing as demon ichor and slime were flicked against the wall by Izzy and her – as usual – stylish jacket. “You ever thought of getting that stuff insured?” she asked, voice a little more teasing.
Isabelle couldn’t help but laugh at the other’s words, “What a brilliant idea.” She folded her arms over her chest, “I should pitch it to the Clave. It seems like they would do anything else besides help us with Valentine.”
