Sebastian watched her for some time now; the way she seems to get lost in the music. The mere act of playing was always a kind of train for him — keep your mind sharp, but focus on melody; keep it strong, but with a soft touch; keep your back straight and still, but fingers need to move freely.
Never plays just for the sake of playing.
His lips formed a smile, the mask never wearing off his face as he comes closer, hands raised to clap. “It was beautiful,” nephilim said friendly, though he thinks of this song as silly. “Oh, don’t need to apologize — I would say something if it would bother me.”
Demon-blooded sit down on one of the free chair, blue hues not leaving her face. “I should be the one to say sorry; It was impolite of me to come in and not let you know I’m here. In my defense, I didn’t want to make you stop… Though it seems I did fail,” he laughed quietly, leaning back.
Seeing the young man startled her, then again many many things did though. Nowadays, just a whistle of the wind made her jump out of her skin. It wasn’t a quality that she was fond of, and one she wanted to drop but refused to let go of her. Still, her fear was short lived. And for that she was grateful.
She liked Sebastian. He always seemed chipper, polite and well-spoken. In fact, there was a part of her mind that screamed he reminded her of Valentine before he had betrayed her and Stephen. He was good company, especially when compared to many of the other Shadowhunters she knew who looked at her with disdain.
On top of which, he actually liked her music.
A smile bloomed upon her face. “Thank you.” She spoke first most, his words touched her. “I appreciate you saying that...” She gave a slight giggle at his words. “If you’d like I... I could finish?” The thought made her nervous, but she needed to be braver. This was a start. It had to be.
