it’s uncanny to think that there was a time without doyeon in her life, the boy a constant in her life ever since he joined the gang a few years ago ( thanks to her impeccable recruiting skills ) and found comfort in him during a time where she needed it the most that eventually resulted in a very close friendship between the two of them. she doesn’t have to say it outloud for the other to know that he’s her best friend. “ so have you thought about being my personal chef and cooking me food every single day for the rest of my life ? you won’t ever have to complain about the trash food i eat if you accept it ! ”

“ For the nth time, we don’t serve ramen here, ” Jiho sighed, shaking his head at the overbearing customer in front of him as he proceeded on wiping the mahogany counter with his cleaning cloth. He was near the end of his shift for the night — or rather, early morning — and the fact that he was tired made it difficult for him to deal with a customer such as this one. He only had two hours of sleep the day before; hence, his mood was not exactly the best nor his tolerance for pesky customers at the greatest.
His hand then halts, the bar mop still trapped between his heavy palm and the hard wood beneath as he then looks up at the other; shifting his body a bit towards the counter before he says, “ Look, buddy, you clearly have had enough. Why don’t you just go home and get some snooze, hm? I’ll even get you an uber, if you want. ”
; brown eyes looked up at the sudden commotion near her, attention pulled away from the colorful cocktail towards the bartender and a customer. miyeon has been watching the customer for some time now, the feeling in her gut warning her that he was gonna do something stupid with the amount of beer he was consuming, and after hearing him almost shout for wanting to eat ramen in a bar of all places, she knew her gut instinct was right once again. “ if i were you, i wouldn’t even have OFFERED to get an uber for him, ” was the first thing she said after watching the whole encounter and the man eventually leaving. “ would’ve kicked him in the ass and out of the bar, people like him only makes it uncomfortable for others y’know ! you were being way too nice. ”
It’s not something he ever saw himself doing in life ( it’s more surprising to him than the fact he’s ended up in the kings ) , but he isn’t going to complain ; he’s technically not supposed to , but at the same time it’s not like he’s watched like a hawk either , and it’s not like he has an addiction , or so he’ll claim — and being a bartender meant he had access to countless high-dollar spirits and liqueurs , and he’s not going to pass up on the opportunity to drink for free and that’s a fact. Still , sometimes he really fuckin’ hates coming into work and so he shows up as a customer instead ( put it on my tab , yes I’m going to pay it , no you don’t need to double check , who even are you again ? ) , and tonight is one of those nights. He’s bitter over losses and last night his impromptu challenge against some hellcat was met with him tasting defeat — a flavor that was becoming way to familiar. It’s crowded and seats are few and far between , so he’s not surprised when the stool next to him is soon filled , but it doesn’t stop him from fixing a glare on the figure. ❝ Fuck off , that seats taken. ❞ Yeah, by his impossibly large and extremely damaged pride.
; there aren’t many places miyeon visits when she has free time, spending most of the time either in the hospital –– holding her brother’s hand tightly in hers as the hours pass with no response –– her own place, which often results in unwanted visits from her fellow members, or sitting in the KINGS owned bar to chill. but finding her presence in any other setting is rare but not unheard of. news were quickly spread within the gang when it comes to wins and loses, the latter sadly being more and more FREQUENT whenever the race is against one of the hellcats. seeing daegeun sitting at the bar isn’t much of a surprise to her, especially after hearing about his last night’s DEFEAT, she knows he’s here to drown his sorrows away, albeit not something he’d say out loud. “ i am sure casper the friendly ghost wouldn’t mind me sitting on his lap, unless you want me to sit on your lap ? ” lips falling into a sly smile as she propped her head up with her hand. the bartender was quick to fix her drinks, the two glasses of scotch clinking down on the table in no time. miyeon ignored the angry man on the other side of her who was yelling about waiting longer for service than she did, and moved one of the glasses in front of the other who looked like he badly needed one. “ already drinking without me i see, was the defeat that bad ? ”

BACKSTORY / daegu
born as a result of a one night stand and born in a not so loved household ! miyeon’s the daughter of a POLITICIAN who only cares about himself, and a drug addict NURSE who stole medicine from her work meant for the patients. she’s the SISTER of the now 20 year old boy, who is actually her half brother since their dad had an affair with someone and was forced to raise the boy. ( he didn’t raise him, it was all miyeon. )
from a young age, miyeon grew up more INDEPENDENT and MATURE for a kid her age should be. she took care of her sihyun because she knows neither of her parents would do so, her mom didn’t even look at him and refused to think of him as family. to miyeon, he was more family than they would ever be.
it wasn’t until when miyeon was SEVENTEEN that things actually changed in their family. she doesn’t remember the exact details of what the emts and police officers told her, only focused on the sight of their house. or well, what used to be their house before it was burned to the ground. they claimed it was an ACCIDENT but miyeon knew it wasn’t. she remembered seeing her mom, cheeks hollow and dark circles under her eyes while she played with the lighter.
the funeral was also the last time she has spoken to her dad before he suddenly disappeared. sometimes she sees his name pop up in newspapers, or on the television. but she knows she’s not his daughter anymore, not after he told the press that his wife and children died in the fire. made up a sob story to gain cookie points from the general public but knows that it’s all fake.
it was during that time that sihyun’s BIOLOGICAL mom came into the picture again after seeing the news, managing to track him down to see the truth herself but upon realizing he was still alive, made him live with her again. there wasn’t much miyeon could do, she was only underage and at least this way sihyun could lead a better life.
her heart was broken after their separation, the reality of being alone only just dawning in on her. so she said welp and took the ktx to busan to get away from the ghosts that haunt her there.

busan gave her an opportunity at starting over again. it was a little lonely for her at first, but soon enough found herself part of the reigning KINGS and considers them family. she never thought she'd end up in a gang, never found herself as someone who would associate with them at all but fate thought something different.
it started like this: her working odd jobs to sustain herself, not wanting to rely on the money her father sends her as some sort of hush money. the jobs would include waitressing in restaurants and working part time at a coffee shop, occasionally being a flag girl at illegal street races lmao... wig
let me just quickly summarize how she got into kings, so well okay she was a flag girl and when she was about to start a race one of the racers had a hissy fit and left the race, without his car. and so miyeon’s brilliant idea was to race in it instead. i mean, obviously she lost against the KING member but it was basically the ticket to join the gang bc she had potential, sunglasses emoji so she basically was there as a racer when she was kinda rank and did that until she was 23
it was a surprise for miyeon when suddenly at one of the races she saw sihyun again, who was a lot taller now but still the same. and well, miyeon who was so happy to see him invited him to sit in the passenger seat of her car when she was racing. ultimately, the dumbest decision in her life because the car crashed into a wall and it was sihyun who got the worst injuries. to this day he still hasn’t woken up from his coma yet, and the doctors are afraid it won’t get any better. but everything miyeon’s earning, pretty much goes to the hospital bills and to make sure they won’t turn off the machines.
that was also pretty much the end of her racing days ! she’s not scared of cars or anything now, she just feels guilty to be sitting in one and just feels guilty about everything in general because it’s her dumb decision that led to her bro being in the hospital.
PERSONALITY
although she still feels guilty, miyeon is someone who can quickly turn off her EMOTIONS especially in dire situations or when the situation is inappropriate to have those ( work related ). she’s someone who’s CUNNING able to deceive most men and women to get anything she wants ( i’ll give her everything she wants too fucking legend ! ) i’d say she’s quite AUDACIOUS especially when it comes to the gang, she’s rarely scared to do shit .. if she’s uncomfortable with it ? yeah for sure ! but she really does everything the leader wants her to do. kind of went on a destructive path for a whole year after the accident where she did the dumbest of things.. but she’s okey now she muted that shit and she’s back to being miyeon but like.. a lil chiller now. she’s PROTECTIVE of her members, especially the younger ones because.. hello babies ? also this doesn’t have anything to do with personality but she’s a COLLECTOR so she’s like .. pay up bitch and people wouldn’t rlly expect this 5′0 woman to be one but she is mate ! so u better pay the money u owe us or miyeon is gonna show you just how skilled she is with her hands ! and she’s not talking about a handjob !
