I love the Autumn air. I love the way it chills my bones as I inhale, and the way it whips my hair around my face and my sweater around my body as it rustles over the treetops. It feels like something old and something new are stirring together in the air.

i was wondering if you could explain what exactly a personification is in your mind???
omg. so sorry I got to this late anon – I knocked out !!honestly, a personification can be anything? in regards to this blog/muse in particular, it is just a being that is ______ embodied. like…they have traits, deal with circumstances, sometimes physically resemble, etc, etc whatever it is they are personifiying. I see/meet a lot of people and I think “this word/place/thing – this is them” and it’s sort of the same here. for example, everything about my friend’s mother just screams louisiana, to the point where she physically resembles the landscape to me (this may seem a little odd but you know) —— it doesn’t hurt that she’s a hurricane with personality to boot. she just feels like the embodiment of my home, like the state literally just crawled inside of her skin or she’s one with it, either/or. same thing I’m kinda doing with riley and damien, where he’s not some diety or ruler over what he’s personifying (which some can be! that would count as a personification too, the actual thing they are personifying) but he’s just one being that’s sort of all aspects of autumn cloaked in skin. everything from his birthday to the color palette of his appearance to the fact he’s two separate people in one body – the lighter, softer side of autumn that’s more like crisp mornings, warm drinks, and that little childlike excitement that accompanies them (riley) plus the darker, creepier side of the season that represents branches scraping your bedroom window at three in the morning, creaky abandoned homes, and all the goosebumps those things induce (damien). in other words, I’ve incorporated everything about this time of year and sort of made it into who he is rather than, say, turned him into someone who is dissimilar but has control over it. this all goes along with the fact he has the power to make organic matter rot and talk with the deceased —— all things you associate with fall! I know this doesn’t answer the question outright but I hope it helps explain what a personification is in my head??? something that embodies what it is they are personifying, though this, I think, can be displayed numerous ways (especially if someone gets really creative). someone personifying summer, for example, could have nothing to do with it outside of their personality and tbh it’d still feel accurate.
and if you need to, you can break me too
I feel that a lot, actually, in lot of circumstances. Like I ought to be feeling something I don’t.
