her muscles were so sore. najung was told to be careful and to not overdo things but that was a hard thing to ask of her when she only had two more weeks to practice for her trainee class evaluation and when she couldn’t stop (accidently, sometimes) changing her choreography. you’d have never guessed this girl was a perfectionist.

that was not supposed to be important now, though, when it’s almost midnight and she should be sleeping--which she is not. the dancer is wide (a little, at least) awake, and the sugary stick she chews will keep her like that just enough so she won’t freeze or die down as she waits for her boyfriend to appear.

It’d been a long couple weeks of doing nothing. he’d helped out a little at work (he worked part time helping out at a scrapyard, hauling debris and garbage), but besides that, there was nothing on his schedule besides help his mom make dinner every once in a while and play with the dog that his little sister insisted they get and then never touched again. Namjin just wanted to sleep or watch tv or something. he wanted a break.

plus, boram had been busy and hadn’t talked to him (really talked to him) in a while and he was kind of lonely.

he’d been laying on his bed when she showed up; he assumed his mom let her in or something, but he sat up when he saw her, smiling a little. brushing off her statement a little, he replied wryly, “what’s up with you, then? stressed out? something happen? what’s wrong?”

she purses her lips, not missing on the evasive he just threw her way. “when am i not stressed out.” she complains, still not giving him as much as a hello. in fact, she didn’t even approach her friend–or rather, she did, dropping to her knees to get the cigarette box he always left under his bed. “i turned my papers two days earlier and still no grades,” she starts to explain, pushing the stick between her lips just so then she’d sit next to him. boram doesn’t take a good look at him yet, but she can see he’s whole and has that smirk he always carries so confidently so he must be fine. “so? where’s the lighter?”
