"He's got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Her thing is neural electric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation. He's fast and she's weird."
Have you ever noticed that ( PIETRO MAXIMOFF ) from the ( MARVEL UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( AARON TAYLOR JOHNSON )? But ( HE ) also go/goes by ( QUICKSILVER). Having the ability to/of ( SUPERHUMAN SPEED, EXTREME FORCE GENERATION, INCREASED METABOLISM ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. They’re known to be ( CHARMING ) but also ( IMPULSIVE) and they’re ( 28 ) years old.

Pietro wasn’t alive to even know about the Sokovia Accords, his return to life wasn’t until after the events of WestView. Being the protective and loving brother he is he stood by his sister’s choice in not signing the accords as well as working hard to ensure no one ever attempted to use his sister as a weapon ever again. As of now he is working on making up for lost time and taking to training to reach his full potential with his gifts.
“You didn’t.” She shook her head. Pietro had been a close friend, and he hadn’t done anything wrong. She didn’t want him to feel like he had. No one could control their feelings. “Oh?” Her brows raised at Pietro’s teasing. “I didn’t realize the circus was a a fourth date kind of thing. I guess I can only go on three dates with you.” She replied playfully, making sure that it was clear in her tone that she was only joking. The last thing she wanted to do was purposefully hurt his feelings. Thinking back to her upcoming fake date with Warren, she pulled her lip between her teeth. “How about Thursday?” It wasn’t the most normal day for a date, but she would be busy Friday and she wanted to use the Pietro date as practice for the Warren date.
.
Pietro smiled softly looking at the other he’d wanted to do this for the longest time but part of him was rather scared about putting himself out there after so long. “Oh yeah, I read it in a book somewhere, hey I’ll still be three dates richer.” He teased her back looking at the other. He wondered what they should do given that the last time he’d been on a date had been quite some time ago and they often already did plenty of ‘date’ activities as friends. “I’m free Thursday, we could do something in the afternoon? That way you could sleep in given how crazy your Wednesdays seemed to go?” He asked, looking at her for a moment.
Charles smiled sympathetically, “Thank you Pietro, and it’s quite alright, I know it’s not something you were doing intentionally.”
He sipped on the water gratefully, ignoring the tylenol since he knew it would be as good as useless.
“I must say however, that you’ve got me quite intrigued. If you don’t mind me asking, who is Kate and what’s she done to get you so excited?”
Charles wasn’t necessarily actually interested in the machinations of Pietro’s social life, however the boy practically glowed with excitement and the joy that echoed around his thoughts, clearer now he was standing in front of Charles, was hard to ignore.
.
Pietro smiled softly nodding his head “I’m that it was you, sometimes I know Jean picks up my thoughts and I feel like I bug her plenty without that.” he mused honestly before chuckling softly with a light blush on his cheeks. “Well, you actually might know her as she is very good friends with others around here but Kate Bishop?” He explained before looking at the other “She’s agreed to go on a date with me, I’ve sort of been holding a candle for her for a while and thought why not shoot my shot” He replied.
“Are you planning on making that mistake again?” She asked, not expecting that sort of response from him. In all honesty, she couldn’t keep up with his different conquests and girlfriends over the years, only recalling a few faces and even less names. “You deserve it.” She replied in English. It had been a long time since she had spoken in their mother tongue, but she understood it just the same. “How much do you want?” Wanda asked, after pulling it out of the oven with the assistance of a pot holder. Setting it down on the granite counter top, she looked over at her brother.
.
“No, I’ll have you know I’ve been on my very best behavior since I realized what I felt for her” he replied rather honestly he hadn’t spent much time looking at others since he started hanging out with Kate. It was strange to think of someone breaking through his walls but it was happening. “Well, when you put it like that I’ll have to stop by more often to get this treatment” He teased the other before motioning for a bing helping “Alot! I’ll work it off later Scout's honor” He smiled softly enjoying the moment between the siblings.
“Yeah Wanda- mom- still figuring out what I should call her but um, yeah. I remember she was protective.” His memories were vague and strange. Like dreams and memories all in the same boat. He was apart of them and detached at the same moment. “I figured you might be more of an expert at this, and less prone to uh… not being happy.” The question of his injury led to a frown upon his face. “That came from, well, I may have uh literally played with fire.” He admitted, grimacing as he did. Billy had known it was a bad idea, he just thought he was capable of being careful. Then, he wasn’t.
.
“Well you can figure that out sometime in the future, I’ll let you call me whatever you’d like Pietro or Uncle I’m good with either” Pietro replied taking his time to look after the wound for a moment listening to the other “You would be right in your assessment, I’m pretty good at keeping things locked up tight when I needed it to be.” He mused before looking at the other chuckling softly “Yeah well a little keynote for the future fire and skin tend’s not to mix” He teased him for a moment “but on a serious note did you get distracted by something?”
Wanda held back a laugh, allowing her lips to form into a smile as the sound died in her throat. Logical was not a word she thought anyone would describe her as. She tended to lean more into her heart than her head, relying on her emotion. Wanda had worked hard to make sure she wasn’t depending too heavily on her emotion anymore though. Training herself to keep it in check, she wanted to be in control. Maybe that was starting to show. “I don’t think you will, but you’re always welcome here.” As if on cue, the time for the oven dinged. “The lasagna is done.”
.
Pietro loved his sister there was no denying her opinion meant the world to him in everything he did but between the two of them, she was more of a thinker than him. “Ahh you forget about that one leggy blond who attempted to cave my head in, back in Sokovia, how was I supposed to know she’d be returning at the exact moment her sister kissed me” He joked before rubbing his hands together “Ahh Sora tu Strica pe mine” He placed a kiss on her head moving to stand by to offer help with the food.
Charles was quickly jolted from his reading as he heard Pietro’s thoughts whirl in and out of his telepathic range.
Once upon a time Charles could only hear thoughts within fifty feet or so and it frustrated him immensely. Now, with his powers amplified by time, diligence, and more than a little help from Cerebro, Charles could hear all the minds in the manner. Most hazy, some made louder by emotion, but it was certainly hard to miss the one that was practically hopping from place to place faster than even Charles could keep up.
Telepathically zeroing in on Pietro’s mind Charles spoke directly in his ear, “Pietro, please either slow down or quiet your mind. You’re giving me a migraine.”
Pietro didn’t mean to be so keyed up but he couldn’t contain his excitement, Kate hadn’t turned him away when he asked for a date, it was crazy to even think she’d possible even look at him as someone other than Billy and Tommy’s uncle but he couldn’t stop his speeding or happiness. It wasn’t until he heard the Professor's voice within his head “I’m Sorry Professor it wasn’t my intention” He quickly sent back before zipping towards the kitchen to grab something before heading towards the library where the professor could often be found. “I brought some medicine and a glass of water as a way of apology” He offered sheepishly.
[ PATCH ] : for your muse to help mine with an injury || @migratedsoul
This felt surreal if he was honest the boy before he was a reincarnation of his supposed nephew and Kate’s best friend. It made his head hurt when he really put any thought to it but then again he was looking forward to getting to know Billy. “You know it’s a good thing you came to me for this instead Wanda” He mused taking care to tend the wound on the other’s arm “She always went off the deep end when I got hurt no matter what I was doing, you want to tell me what happened?”
[ BAR ]: for your muse to join mine at a bar || @detjimgxrdon
Pietro was never really one for the bar scene but with his somewhat nephews being in town a drink was owed. It’s not that he didn’t love them don’t get him wrong it was just another piece of proof of how much of his sister’s life he’d missed out on. “Hey is this seat taken?” he questioned looking at the other for a moment before ordering something from the bar.
“If you break the door you have to fix it.” She replied playfully, smiling as he smirked at her. The mood shifted all of the sudden and her smile dropped to something more serious. Kate’s heart stopped beating, skipping around her chest before it started again like it never happened. The confession. His feelings for her. It had faded into the back of her mind after seeing Warren again. It felt less significant somehow. Burying that horrible thought, she put it away in its own box never to be revisited. Pietro was significant. He meant a lot to her. The speedster had been there for her when she had no one else to turn to and that meant more than anything Warren had done for her, or it should have at least. “You want to go on a date?” She asked, voice sounding more surprised than she actually was. This wasn’t the first time they had talked about his feelings for her, but it was the first time she was able to make a decision about them. Was it something she wanted to pursue? “Okay. As long as you don’t try to take me to the circus. I know what happens at the circus.” She joked, knowing that Pietro wouldn’t understand it on the same level that Clint would have if he were there.
.
“Well, It won't be the first time I’ve had to use my handy skills” He teased her before noticing the change within her, he was afraid of this, the last time he’d confessed emotions had been flying back and forth to the point he wasn’t sure the kiss was something she wanted. He had been honest about his growing love for her but he had also meant what he said if she cared for another that he’d never stand in her way. After all their friendship was something he treasured and wouldn’t want it destroyed for something as silly as his feelings. “You know what, if I made you uncomfortable we can just forget it Kate” He whispered looking at her, he’d never force her if she truly didn’t want to go. He chuckled at her words shaking his head “You know going to the Circus is more of a fourth date kind of thing you gotta really care to brave those scary clowns for someone.” He teased before turning a bit more serious “When did you want to go?”
Jean smiled slightly. “Flying is okay,” she said. “It always makes my stomach knot up.” She gave a little shake of her head as he went on. “It’s a little more complicated than that,” she said. “My…it was pretty, um…rough, the day my abilities manifested.” A faint, slightly crooked smile touched her lips. “Putting it pretty mildly,” she said. “My parents were worried about me. That’s why they contacted the Professor in the first place.” She smiled softly. “It was definitely good intentions,” she said. “I guess it made things harder in some ways, but I wouldn’t change it if I could.” She shook her head. “If they do, it’s just sort of like a flash,” she said. “And I can retreat pretty much immediately.” She thought of Warren and Kate. “The emotion has to be really strong,” she said. “And they have to be focused on it.”
.
Pietro looked at the other smiling softly “It looks excitement from the ground I promise you, though Warren takes me flying now and then which is pretty cool.” He replied looking at the other for a moment, he’d been fascinated with the other mutants, and what their mutants yielded. To say that their DNA was similar yet vastly different had piqued a curiosity within him. “That must have been scary? To go from hearing your own thoughts to everyone’s or just move something without intending to do so.” He mused before nodding his head “I suppose that makes sense in a way I also fear that one day I may lose Wanda in a different way than she lost me, it wouldn’t be her own doing of course but people fear those who possess such power.” He spoke in truth not many knew his deep-seated fear on this subject but he’d do anything for his sister even battle armies so she never felt pain again. “Can this be any type of emotion? Like I’m sure anger is one you try to avoid giving your sheer power but what about overwhelming happiness or love?”
Vision smiled softly as Pietro spoke, his expression brightening. “Thank you,” he said. “That means very much coming from you. No one knows Wanda better than you do.” To have Pietro’s approval, or at least his understanding, was very important to Vision. He knew how much Wanda loved her brother, and how much Pietro loved her, and he would never want to come between them in any way. “The shovel talk?” Vision repeated, his eyes widening slightly. “I take it that is some form of intimidation.” He couldn’t help but smile at the thought. As if he would ever do anything to purposely hurt Wanda. All he had to do was stay alive, which, admittedly, he wasn’t always great at doing. “Oh, I like romantic comedies, I suppose,” he said, with a little smile. “They remind me of the sitcoms Wanda likes.”
.
Pietro knew how much Vision meant to his sister and even if he couldn’t fully understand it he was glad someone was there for her after his death. They’d never been parted since birth yet there was a time she was left alone and hurting and Vision had stepped in to heal her heart. “You’re welcome don’t get all mushy on me” He mused before nodding his head “it’s the job of the elder brother to double-check his sister’s boyfriend's intentions are pure, granted we kind of skipped right to husband and father but know I’m still watching you” He made the little eye motion before tilting his head at the words. “I can’t say that would’ve been the genre I thought you watched, lucky for you Stark is closet romantic and has plenty.” He mused looking through the catalog “Sitcoms were our escape from the harsh reality of the world, for hours we could believe that something as silly as burning the dinner was the worst thing in the world.”
Jean laughed quietly. “I guess that’s true,” she said. “It just wouldn’t be…hard. You’re not heavy for that particular muscle.” She smiled a little as she spoke and shrugged. “When I first met Professor Xavier, he put these…mental blocks in my head,” she said. “He blocked off the telepathy part until I was ready.” Now that was where the Phoenix Force lived, and even so, she could hear it whispering to her. Tempting her. She was powerful already, which was why the Dark Phoenix had wanted her in the first place, and how she could survive it. If she let it out…Jean gave a little shake of her head. “So when someone breaks down that wall, I go behind those old mental blocks until I can put the wall back up.”
.
Pietro joined in the other’s laughter smiling softly “See I could fly like some of these other heroes around here, though I don’t think I’d be able to run on air.” He mused looking at the other, it was interesting learning more about Jean. Just when he thought he’d understood her she’d throw him a curveball. “I suppose I could understand the need for that, I’ve seen some children throw tantrums I can’t image one who could destroy someone’s mind on a whim. But I’m supposing this is more of a good intentions type thing meaning it had a negative effect?” He questions he knew she’d struggled with power just like his sister but if anyone could handle such magnitudes it was them. “I’m assuming now it doesn’t happen often? Someone being able to break down your crafted walls?”
“Am I?” Vision said, his eyebrows drawing together in concern. He hadn’t even thought of that. One would have to assume he was, since she had married him and created children with him, but now the doubt was there, he couldn’t help but feel it. Even a synthezoid wasn’t immune to a crisis of self-esteem. Wanda was a goddess, in his view, who could have anyone she wanted. He nodded as Pietro spoke. “I would not focus on anyone else,” he promised seriously. He brightened then as Pietro spoke about bonding. “Perhaps a movie?” he suggested. “There are many I have not seen.”
.
Pietro heard it in Vision’s tone that hinted at a question of whether he was good enough for his sister. “She wouldn’t have married you and had children with you if you weren’t her type” Was all he said given he had to at least believe that was true. While he was gone his sister had continued to live a life so vastly different than what they used to and he was glad for it even if at times he felt left behind. “Good, I didn’t really get the chance to give you the shovel talk back then” He mused before nodding his head “Yeah I’m sure we could find one, do you have a favorite type of genre of movie?” He questioned when thinking about what they could watch.
Jean laughed. “I doubt it,” she teased. Kate doesn’t have red hair. “Besides, I’m not sure it counts as strength if it’s telekinesis. It’s all in my mind. No offense, but I don’t think I could actually lift you.” Her physical strength wasn’t really much to sneeze at, when it came down to it; she supposed she should work on that. She giggled softly. “I’m sure he’d like that,” she said. She gave him a little smile. “Yeah, sometimes,” she said. “People can really be feeling something intensely or putting a lot of emotion behind a thought. It breaks through my control for a second. It’s like if you’re sitting in your apartment and you can hear someone playing the radio, but it’s muffled by the wall – and then they knock the wall down while they happen to turn the radio up full blast.” She smiled a little. “Probably not. It’s been a while.”
.
Pietro looked at the other smirking softly “You wound me so Jean, I wouldn’t mind if you cheated using your telekinesis to lift me. Granted you would technically be flexing a muscle while doing so, it’s still a workout.” he replied honestly before nodding his head “Yeah, I really have to get to know everyone they all seem like wonderful people” He mused before listening to her explanation of her gift. “That’s hard to even think about, I know alone with my own thoughts is terrible I can’t imagine everyone else flooding through as well. When a person breaks down this wall so to speak how do you take control? Do you focus on single noise?”
He let out a laugh at his words. “You think my embrace is loving?” He teased. “Why would I mind that?” Warren asked with a laugh. He was pretty accustomed to compliments at this point. Although he tried not to have a big head about it. It was difficult considering the constant comparisons he got to angels. When the other man took his hand, Warren pulled him closer into his arms. Stretching out his wings once again and this time, flapping them much harder to get them both off the ground. “Hold on tight, okay? I don’t usually drop people but… I don’t like taking chances.”
.
Pietro chuckled softly at the other “Of course, they are look how sturdy your arms are” he teased back before laughing “I don’t know, figured you’d heard it one too many times” he mused honestly, he knew the other had a pretty good self-image one of the few around who matched his flirting skills. He clung just a tad tighter than normal after all just because he loved the idea of flying didn’t mean he wanted to drop to his death. “You’ll have to pry me off with a crowbar, though this view is certainly beyond imagination, thank you for hanging out with me, it’s been a while since we did this.”
Jean smiled softly as Pietro spoke. “I could make that happen,” she teased. She had no problems lifting cars and rubble, after all, so Pietro would be a breeze. She gave another smile as Pietro spoke, nodding in agreement. “He really is,” she murmured. “He’s a wonderful person.” She smiled and shook her head. “It’s okay, I’m not listening,” she said. “I wouldn’t do that unless there was a really good reason. The Professor taught me how to put barriers up. Otherwise it would just be a constant barrage of noise.” A soft smile touched her lips. “Even now, it’s not quiet. It never is.” She laughed softly. “That sounds nice,” she said, referring to the trip.
.
Pietro looked at the other smirking slightly “Well Then I dare say I’ve fallen for a redhead, whose strength is something to be in awe of” He teased her for a moment before nodding “Yeah I want to hand out with him more maybe I shall knock on his door and see if that’s something he wouldn’t mind hanging out with me” He replied before turning to her shaking his head “Oh no I never meant to say you were listening in, heck I wouldn’t mind if you did but I know certain emotions can be felt hard then others.” He tried to explain before chuckling softly “I bet you don’t know what you’d do if it was just quiet for a moment” He mused before nodding his head “Well then I’ll into making that idea become a reality”
