Ethan, honestly, would of probably offered to share with her first - if he wasn’t slightly occupied with the initial panic of being caught. “That feels like a fair trade.” He replied, moving over on shingles to leave room for Rhiannon. Holding his hand out towards her so she had something to hold onto as she climbed her way out the window. Even if he wasn’t working, he was always protecting the people around him. At this point, it was second nature. He had to put others first. “It’s always better with someone else anyway.”

Rhiannon had perched halfway between the window and roof, fingers gripping the ledge to wait for his invitation. It was too easy to reach out and grip the offered hand and make a somewhat unsteady trek to where he sat. She took a seat beside him and stretched her legs out. “Isn’t that the truth. I haven’t had one since before I left home.”
