I’m still here. I promise. Just had a lot of family stuff going down the last week and haven’t been online much. Forgive me!
I went home sick from work. Feel like butthole. I may or may not work on things or I might just lurk. I’m unsure.
All eyes were on Samira when she entered the room. Her face heated up at the gazes, especially when she saw the blonde man.
Cassandra had been kind enough to lead Samira in, and proceeded with the introductions.
“It is a pleasure to meet you all. I am Samira, of clan Lavellan,” she said shyly. But why was she being shy? Maybe because she was surrounded by shem, and not her own kind. Or maybe it was because these shem were obviously of authority.
Cullen wasn’t sure what he’d been expecting. Some fierce warrior of the dalish clan, with her bow drawn and a scowl on her face. What he hadn’t expected was a young elf with a heavy blush creeping across her face as she stood there, obviously uncomfortable. He instantly softened at the sight of her. He found himself relaxing, even as she introduced herself to the other advisers.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well.” He looked toward Cassandra, a serious expression returning to his face. She had a way of reminding him of his duties. “Shall we get to business?”
goldanddaggers:
“What can I say? I’m a people person, blah, blah, blah, more good shit that’s almost definitely a lie about my character, etcetera, and I need the gold. If Corypheus brings about the end of the world and takes over with his red Templar bastards, how on earth am I supposed to find somewhere worth pillaging, let alone a good brothel? No, I’m just doing my duty as an upstanding citizen who prefers to deal in debauchery and theft.”
She paused, eyeing him up and down. “Still though; you command the Inquisition’s forces, don’t you? That’s still a uniform of sorts. Are you willing to get your hands dirty, Commander?”
“A pirate is in it for the gold? I never would have guessed...” He chuckled a bit, smiling at his current companion. He didn’t mean anything by it of course. It was just nice to hear someone who was honest about their motivations for once. It was all fine and good to have people making pilgrimages here for the sake of Andraste, but others simply came for the excitement, or the money.
“I’m willing to do whatever it takes to bring down the red templars, as well as Corypheus. Although, the inquisitor will inevitably have to be the one to face him directly.” It wasn’t that Cullen wasn’t willing to throw himself at Corypheus with everything he had, but he knew that without the mark on his hand, it would be like stabbing a stone wall, ultimately useless. On the other hand, it was a small relief, having a hero to place his faith in.
Amari entered his office with a grave look upon her features, hands clasped in front of her as she approached. "Commander, if I may? It seems I have suffered a serious injury to my lips. And I'm afraid you may have to kiss them better." The serious expression wavered only slightly in a little pull at the corner of her lips in waiting for his response. // making up for sad drabble feels with cuteness =u= ♡
Cullen laughed before pulling her toward him and basking her in kisses. “I had a terrible dream that you died, but fortunately, it was only a nightmare. I’m so glad you’re here.” He hugged her to his body, wrapping her up tightly in a hug.
“Of course I do. I wouldn’t have gathered all the courage in Thedas to ask if I didn’t have a set plan.” There’s a smirk over the look on his Cullen’s face, a little swell of pride to have surprised him so. But that expression would only progress to a bright smile, tight lipped at first until the Commander’s lips meet her knuckles, prompting a bashful grin and warmth spreading to her cheeks. “Cullen, you’re practically following me to the ends of the world already. But come, I think we both deserve a moment to let things revolved around us for a change.” In a soft chuckle Amari keeps the hold upon Cullen’s hand and leads out of his office and towards the stables where her Hart and his Steed already awaited them.
“You face down dragons with ease, but asking me out requires that much courage?” He couldn’t help but chuckle to himself at the idea. He knew he had a reputation around Skyhold as relatively serious, but he wasn’t aware he was that intimidating. Although, he wasn’t one to talk, because if she hadn’t asked he’d probably have never hoped to pursue his feelings for her. Cullen follows her to the stables, excitement evident in the grin on his face. “Shall we?” Cullen mounted his steed, running a gently hand along the horse’s mane to comfort him.

Cullen stood at attention with the other two templars. His hand rested on the hilt of his blade as he watched the young mage enter the room. He smiled at her, despite the disapproving looks of the other templars, and mouthed ‘good luck’ as First Enchanter Irving explained to her what she would be facing in the fade.
Cullen settled in, knowing she was a strong mage, and more than capable of defeating her harrowing with ease. Still, he felt a bit restless. The others didn’t have the same faith in her that he did. She couldn’t speak to them, and few bothered to learn sign language to truly communicate. This lead his templar companions to underestimate her.
Nearly an hour had passed and he could tell the others were getting restless. Irving was wearing a familiar frown and Cullen began to shake his head, She would make it out of this. The fade was tricky and not everyone could traverse it’s mazes easily, but he had faith in her. The others not so much.
“It’s been too long.” Another of the templars said, drawing his sword. He didn’t know. She could still make it. “The only thing that’s coming out of the fade now is a demon!” He seemed a bit hysterical. He’d spent the past month fighting with Irving on even giving Luna a harrowing. Cullen stepped up, finding his voice.
“You can’t!” He held up his hand, stepping between the templar and Luna’s unconscious body. The templar glared at him for a moment, but Cullen stood his ground.
“I am in charge here, and I say that too much time has passed. We could lose one or all of our lives if we wait for the demon to emerge. I order you to stand down!” The templar wore a smug grin, knowing Cullen could not stop him without risking insubordination and potential dismissal from his charge.
Cullen begrudgingly stepped back in line, turning away so he couldn’t see. The other templar standing next to him pressed on his shoulder, urging him to watch. This was the choice they had to make as Templars. He knew this was in the cards when he’d agreed to be assigned the the circle of magi, but he’d never thought that Luna... wouldn’t make it out.
The templar in charge raised his blade, thrusting it downward into her chest, just as her eyes opened. He saw the panic in them, and he knew there was no demon there.
“Luna!” He yelled out, losing control of his emotions as he charged forward. The templar that had dealt the fatal blow, raised his sword to hold Cullen back from the dying girl. He paused when he realized his duty, but as the blood poured from her chest, he couldn’t help himself. He let out a whimper, watching the fear on her face, the agony as she couldn’t scream out her pain. Blood trickled out of her mouth, and he couldn’t hold back any longer, he let out a small sob, tears falling freely from his eyes, as all life disappeared from hers.
Now her hand is raised, a sword to pierce the sun , With iron shield she defends the faithful, Let chaos be u n d o n e
