PSA - Hiatus

Hey guys, I know this may come as no surprise since I haven’t been here in a while and I’m ashamed to even have taken so long to come and tell you what’s been happening.

Basically, I got a new job, I’m studying at night and I now have a boyfriend (yay!). I only have one day off per week from work and nights are busy with studying, and during the weekends when I leave work I’m with my bf because that’s the only time of the week we can actually be together, since he too works full time. 

So it has been literally impossible for me to come online at all and the few moments at night when I do have time, I’m too tired and with no imagination or creativity left in me to come here.

I’m sorry to say but this blog is officially on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time...

I love you all and I miss talking to all of you <3 I’ll try and check every now and then, if anything to answer private messages from you lovely people <3

Sleep did not come easy to her, in truth, she was simply lying down with her eyes closed for a few hours. The happenings of that day, the life she took, running away. It all brought on a wave of emotions and thoughts that raced in her mind. At one point in the night she opened her eyes and was about to get up to go outside for some fresh air when she saw him seated by the entrance of the cave. Elin was both grateful and intrigued by the man that saved her life. The reassurance of someone looking out for her gave her enough solace to attempt sleeping and that she did.

Her eyes met with the sight of him after hearing his voice while still half under slumber. “It is morning already?” - she sat up, rubbing her eyes gently and stretched her arms out in front of her.

The mercenary nodded and stood up once more, gathering his things along with her’s, preparing them both to leave the cave. He made sure the fire he had built was well put out and with little trace so as if they were being followed still, they would not find out the fire embers and ashes. - We have at least one more day of journey, we need to make way before we lose the light. - He explained his earliness.

- Were you able to rest? - He was concerned that if she were still too tired, they would move at a pace too slow to make any actual progress.

“Then perhaps I am a dragon.” Nanna replied, finishing her drink with an easy sip that left her mouth damp. “It is not good to settle for too long, not when lives such as ours stretch out for such an extended period of time. There is much to see, much to do. So many tastes and sights to enjoy…”

The Aesir rose and crossed to the drinks cabinet again, fetching the decanter of amber liquid and refilling her glass. She turned and leant against the table, offering the dragon a refill of he desired it. “You shall begin to gather treasures, shall you not? What is to your liking - gold, jewels, art, books, cars, horses, women, men…?” 

Smaug smiled and nodded. - It is true, it was to my liking to have a large treasure stored in my lair, mostly gold. But I’ve found that gold is jealous lover, and have little desire to be its slave again. - He explained to her. He smirked. - I was never much of a fan of men as I was of women but I suppose it depends on the person to begin with.

He moved towards Sherlock. He could tell that his old flat mate was trying to lighten the mood. John offered up a smile before replying with: “Sherlock, I’m a doctor. I can break every bone in your body while naming them. But no. As angry as I am with you, there’s someone else that I am quite livid at. Besides, it would be a pity to bust your nose. It could heal crooked and you know how much that would throw off your good looks.” 

John carefully and gently put his hand on Sherlock’s nose, moving it ever so slightly, feeling it for his diagnosis. When he was satisfied, he let go. “It’s not broken. Though we should put some ice on it for a bit. The pain should be gone in a day or two.” He told him. “Now then, would like take away or to go out?” 

Sherlock was able to avoid a snort when John basically threatened to break his bones while spelling out their technical names. But he was pleased that his flatmate was able to understand he was joking and join in on it without thinking it was rude of him to do so.

As John analysed his nose, he tried not to wince or make a noise of any sort, he didn’t want to show it did hurt uite a lot, trying to play the tough part and all. But it as obvious that John was not fooled, despite his efforts, Sherlock did make a face when he squeezed the bridge of his nose a little tighter. - Take away would be nice, I’m quite tired and not in the mood to explain to eveyrone I’m not dead. - He stated. - I thought my good looks were because of my cheekbones.

“Stay away from my people and those of Dale. I do not care if you try to reclaim Erebor let the dwarves rot for all I care.” Thranduil stated not taking his eyes off the other. He was still prepared to slay him should he try anything of foul intent.

“That you at least offer your aid shall we be attacked. You will be paid for any aid I will add. A generous amount to be stored at a place of your discretion.”

Smaug narrowed his eyes at the Elf King as he spoke his terms and conditions and what he expected from him in return for not killing him right there. The dragon was not entirely convinced if he should take the deal, he knew Thranduil and he knew he was fierce when it came to protect his own, but he also knew he was cunning and perhaps it was not all to this deal as he was saying.

- I don’t care about the dwarves, not at the moment. - He confessed. He was just tired of running away and fighting people just for being a dragon and other’s being frightened. Well...he did instigate a few of those fights by burning their towns but still. - Are you offering me gold is that what you mean?

Hummmm possibly true but I still don’t think I am as tame as you may think I am. Though with you is hardly a shore.

Nanna traced the rim of her glass with a finger, eyes never leaving his. How to describe his eyes? Colour hardly seemed to matter, neither did shape nor angle. They were eyes to get lost in, a gaze of the universe. It made her smile. 

“Sometimes it is nice to be chased, though never as prey…” The Aesir mused. “You shall thrive in this world, and in this form. Of that I am sure. How could you not with me as company?” 

Her grin turned sly, toying, coy. She blinked, glanced at the fire and felt as if she might still be looking in his face for its intensity. “You are welcome to stay here for as long as you need, until you find a grand estate of your own. There is one condition though…” Her gaze flit back to his face, her tone lilting and kind. “Don’t burn my house down.” 

Smaug let out a chuckle at the mention of her companionship being the primarily reason as to why he would suceed there. Well, he would not put it past her in fact, she was influential to say the least. - I don’t plan on burning anyone’s house, unless such a measure is necessary. - He pointed out, but he thought people here would be smarter than to provoque him in such a manner. 

- As for your company, I would be glad to have it, with the benefits of it or without them. I don’t have any ambition to find any large estate for now, still exploring my surroundings. I need to make sure I’ll like it here before I settle. Dragons are not known for liking to settle in one place for long.

He let out a breath. “No. It’s not. But you aren’t ready to answer the questions I want to ask you.” John answered. “I know that look you have because I myself had it before we met. You look like a man come home from war, trying to adjust to civilian life again. You’re suffering. The last thing you want to discuss right now is where you were during these past two years.” He knew from just looking at Sherlock, that his friend had seen horrors.

He stood up and patted Sherlock gently on the shoulder as a sign of comfort. “You will speak when you’re ready and I will listen. Though don’t misunderstand. I am angry, but above all else, I really missed you.” That was true. John didn’t feel one emotion at Sherlock’s return. There was anger at being left out of the adventure, but relief too, relief in knowing that the pain he suffered from mourning for his best friend was over. 

John moved his hand away. “Now let me just take a quick look at your nose and then we are getting you something to eat.”

Either John knew him too well or he knew the situation rather well himself - which Sherlock knew the last one was true. Or maybe both. It was true Sherlock was not prepared to discuss what he had seen and gone through for the past two years but he didn’t want to leave John ignorant of the facts. He deserved to know, after what he had put him through with his fake death.

Sherlock relunctantly nodded at John taking a look at his nose. It hurt of ourse but he didn’t think it would be broken, even if John’s punch was rather to the point and strong. “I missed you too” he wanted to say, but he didn’t find the courage to say so. - Should I be concerned that if it’s not broken you’ll make sure it is? - He tried to tease, to releva ehte tension.

“To both then.” The rim of her glass touched his, the noise clear and precise as it travelled across the room. Nanna settled herself on a low sofa beside the fire, watching as the flames were drawn to Smaug. He seemed to command them, to encourage them to dance and breathe new life. It was a dangerous thing. It was a beautiful thing.

“I do not think I’d like to be fine in the heat or the cold. I should like to thrive.” The Aesir crossed long legs, positioning herself to see him better and to engage in further conversation. He cut a grand figure; tall, sharp, alluring even. Nanna did not want to let him move from her sight, least he and his presence do something she might wish to see. “I imagine you feel the same. You wish to thrive here, not to wallow in some pit of ice or fire. You are far too good for such things.” 

Smaug turned around, facing Nanna once more, the flames behind his form still flickering as in some sort of dance. He couldn’t help to smirk at her, she was very much correct in her assumptions.

- You are not wrong, I always wish to thrive in any environment or situation I out myself into. But isn’t that the nature of survival? Specially for creatures as ourselves. We are not prey afterall, we don’t hide in order to survive. We chase. - He said, taking a sip of the wine she had offered him earlier, though his eyes hardly left her own gaze.

tired of bumping into each other in the coffee shop? try these:

muse a tries to stand up for muse b in a bar but unfortunately cannot fight for shit. 

muse a is having plumbing troubles in their new house and muse b says they can fix it: except they can’t, they just wanted to spend more time with the cute neighbor. (bonus if muse a has to spend the night at muse b’s place because of it)

muse a works somewhere that’s open late and muse b comes in to take shelter from the storm. 

muse a is assigned to be muse b’s partner in an undercover assignment. 

muse a needs money and signs up to be in muse b’s clinical trials. (bonus if some kind of accident gives muse a superpowers and unwittingly makes muse b their accomplice in their goals)

muse b is a siren and muse a is one of the few people immune to their song, so after drowning the rest of the crew the two are stuck together. 

muse b accidentally creates muse a, the world’s very first AI. (Can work with or without a body for muse a, or muse b can struggle to build a body for muse a)

muse a and muse b as Olympic athletes forced to do PR together, photo shoots, interviews, cheese montages. 

muse b is an anent for a time travel protection agency and has been assigned to protect muse a after they have been targeted by another time traveler. 

muse b is in love with muse a, but muse doesn’t love them back. At some point the two have a one night stand and makes matters more complex (via rachel).
