was that CAITLIN STASEY walking around the halls of hogwarts? i wish it was them, but it was really just RITA SKEETER, the SEVENTEEN year old SEVENTH year student at hogwarts. they come from a HALF-BLOOD family, and people tend to describe them as AMBITIOUS, PROTEAN, CONCEITED and ARTIFICIAL. they can be seen around hogwarts hanging in the RAVENCLAW common room and in OWLERY. i hear theyâre planning on REMAINING NEUTRAL once the war starts and that theyâre planning on MAKING IT KNOWN TO PEOPLE. i canât wait to see how this turns out for them. the music was blaring in the background, the scent of alcohol wafted through the air, and in that moment leo felt more at home than ever. shots. shots. shots. one after the other, the firewhiskey burned at leoâs throat but he was the first to finish the line. âcrown me the king of whiskey, suckers!â he yelled, throwing his hands in the air. spotting a cute person standing nearby, he offered them his best drunk, flirty grin. âhey sugar, you my prize?â
rita was not a fan of alcohol. she didnât like the feeling of being out of control, but with a freshly rolled joint tucked behind her one ear and a half finished one in between her fingers, she was feeling the buzz in her own special way. leoâs drunken outburst made her laugh, sure, but when he called after her, she rolled her eyes. âi am nobodyâs prize, love, iâm not some sort of trophy. but thanks for trying.â
bertram was feeling dizzy and discoordinated; he was walking slowly, trying to make his way out of the room of requirement. he didnât know what condition his face was in, but it was probably bad, since people were staring at him wide-eyed and he could feel the pain. he touched his nose and felt the blood on his face; it was most definitely broken, but that was no surprise, taking in consideration he just took some major blows to his face. suddenly, a concerned person (or not, he couldnât quite tell; for all he knew they might have just been curious) approached him, but at this moment, all bertram wanted was to be left alone. â donât â donât touch me. iâm fucking fine. â
it was so unfair that the reception was so spotty in hogwarts castle. like, sure, the castle was old, but youâd think that theyâd add more cell towers nearby or something. after this party was over, she would head back to her dormitory and there would be more service, but she couldnât bring herself to leave early. there could be something even MORE dramatic than what already went down. however, when she went to reenter the room of requirement after her journey for more than a single bar, she ran into the very person she was attempting to send a text about. âthatâs funny, you donât look fucking fine, need someone to episkey that for ya?â she asked, not waiting for a response before completing the spell.Â

rita eliana skeeter was born on november 13th to two, loving, half-blood parents
one was a healer and one was a politician so u bet a bitch was richÂ
her parents didnât really have high hopes for her, but they wanted to make her life as easy as it could possibly be
she was an only child so she got spoiled a lot with both material things and trips all around the world
she always had the newest technology that an eight year old did not need to have,Â
this pampering made her a bit bratty, and the constant flattery from her parents made her think she was better than everyone else
goo d olâ mother and father dearest thought that rita was a squib because she hadnât shown any magical abilities, but on her tenth birthday, when a large amount of her âfriendsâ didnât show up to her party, the candles on her cake in the living room were magically blown out
sheâs actually a freaking powerful magician. like really powerful, people really underestimate her.
her hogwarts letter came and her parents could not have been more proud, buying her all new magical equipment and sending her off to hogwarts with two matching grins on their faces. and after she got sorted into ravenclaw, they sent her a letter practically bursting with love and pride, saying that they knew she would do incredibly in that house
she was a slytherin/ravenclaw hatstall, her versatility and desire for knowledge battling it out for dominance, although both traits could easily find themselves homes in both houses
that was the last letter she ever received from her parents. from that moment, they went missing, and no one has been able to find them since
this sparked ritaâs love of journalism and digging to find a story. she stops at nothing to be able to get to the root of a story, and although she hasnât yet gotten to the root of her parentsâ disappearance, she refuses to stop digging
this also lead her to the daily owl, a club that she has been a part of for all six years she has been at hogwarts. she loves the daily owl more than anything else, and takes her gossip columns and exposes extremely seriously
rita has always been an extreme overachiever, simply to prove it to her parents. even though she has no idea where they are and what happened to them, she knows that if she ever finds them again, she would want to make them proud
she gets nearly perfect grades, plays quidditch, is in an enormous amount of clubs, and is turning into a fairly skilled witch
she has just become an unregistered animagus, and she uses her beetle form to get the inside scoop that she needs in order to tell a whole and complete story
she does not do it with malicious intent, she is just honestly curious
fun facts about rita:
she is jewish!! her parents raised her jewish and she stuck with it despite everyone around her not really understanding
this is why it doesnât hurt to not go home for christmas break anymore, she wouldnât be celebrating much there anyway
she is 100% a cat person more than a dog person
she has way too many twitter followers than she should and also runs a really cute fashion instagram account with far fewer followers than she should have
her dream is to one day be the editor in chief of the daily prophet
