A bright beam of a smile took over Ciri as she heard Yennefer’s words. Her entire being basically flooded with the warmth of affection, and she dove in for a hug. She wrapped her arms completely around the sorceress’ torso and dug her face into her chest. “I love you, Yennefer.” For a long few moments, she was a child hugging her mother, unaware of any sort of destiny. Hearing those words affirmed her more than a hundred others might. Hearing it from the right person, she knew she was where she was supposed to be.

“You show them in the ways that fit you.” Geralt has a lot of things he wishes were different, but it’s different with Yennefer. It’s hard to wish difference for her because the way she is is so unique that it hardly compares to most else he’s experienced, or most people he’s met. “You are yourself.” The smile he gives, while rare for him in that it is a smile and not being used as an intimidation tool, is genuine and warm as he can offer. “Though I suppose, hearing more often how you feel wouldn’t hurt either.”

“Maybe because you see there can be something else? Something better?” Keyleth takes one of Vex’s hands in both of her own, holding it gently as she stares down at it. “It could be a good thing, couldn’t it? Not being cynical and jaded? There’s so much good in the world, Vex, and we can be a part of it. Together.” She pauses, her face flushing slightly. “If that’s what you want?”

“I love oysters!” It takes Keyleth no time at all to respond to the offer, smiling wide to her friend. “We should go right away, and do all the fancy restaurant things like clink our glasses and hold really little cups.” Keyleth grabs Pike’s hands and practically squees with excitement. “This sound like so much fun, Pickle, I could just about kiss you!”

The tension that has been rising between the two of them for a while is palpable, and despite Morinth’s status as not only an ardat-yakshi but as a criminal of all of the asari. She was an outlaw, a victim of the treatment of ardat-yakshi children. Despite all of this, she and Liara have spent quality time together, and it’s grown impossible to ignore.

“Careful that’s not the famous ardat-yakshi charm. Maybe you’ve fallen under my spell.” Morinth wastes no time straddling Liara’s lap, one of her hands on the other’s hip. Her legs quiver slightly from the positioning, trying to get used to it very quickly. A lot rides on this moment — and not just literally speaking. Her barriers are still being fought to come down, but what she wants, in these seconds, is for Liara to want her. “Perhaps the demon has swallowed you whole.”

There are a few thoughts that run through Cait’s head when Curie approaches her. It starts with technical confusion, just at the suggestion, for one main reason: Curie is a synth, and she has no need to eat food. That, of course, is not relevant to the fact that this is clearly more than just wanting to get a meal together. Then she has to consider whether Curie has learned the art of the prank, and this is just a really good gotcha.

But, after examining all the evidence in the courtroom of the mind, Cait comes to one conclusion. That Curie is genuinely asking her on a date. She seems to sort of stilt and not be sure how to continue. “If ye could get us something nice, might be a good break from all the bleak shit all around. Might appreciate it.” Her face is running a similar shade to her hair, and her freckles almost seem to stand out further the harder she blushes.

“I mean, you don’t really eat properly, but sitting with someone else is nicer than sittin’ alone, I like to think.”

A little surprised by the gesture, Triss enthusiastically shakes Assire’s hand back. “Good to see you’re getting in the spirit of things.” A wide smile comes to her face and she pulls the other sorceress into locking arms. “What do you say to a walk around the city? Just the two of us?”
