How was she going to tell Lois and Clark?! “Hi, Koda.” She knelt in front of the animal, offering him her hand so he’d smell her before attempting to pet him. “It’s a fitting name–it means the ally or little bear.”

tobias had never met the girl in front of him before , she was just a nice woman who seemed to like dogs. “ it fits-- i just named him after one of the bear’s in brother bear , that disney movie , “ he confessed. “ i didn’t think that the name could be so fitting. “

“ he most definitely is ! “ tobias said with a bright yet PROUD smile.

“ sorry, kid. me && animals don’t really get along. ” he backs away a half-step from the animal, trying to be a little respectful. he suspects it’s the lingering smell of demonic that sets them off.

“ really ?? “ tobias perks up , looking at the man. “ why’s that ?? “ he couldn’t think of any reasons why an animal may not like the man before him but then again he did tend to be too trusting at times.

tobias smiles at the woman’s reaction. the joyfulness that everyone seemed to get around koda brought such a happiness to tobias that nothing else could master. koda loved the petting , he lived for the pampering and it was evident on his face as the woman pet him. “ do you have a dog of your own ? “ the high school student asked , watching how much koda seemed to like her.

his green eyes go wide and there’s nothing but a childish joy that shows up on adrian. within an instant he is on the ground petting the dog, one hand scratching his head while the other is there to stroke his back. looking up he can only smile before he signs a simple “thank you.” after a few more moments of what adrian would argue is true love, he stood back up and held out his hand to shake. obviously he had to make friends immediately.

tobias loved the joy that his dog brought to people. seeming that smile really brought something to the young boy. and koda seemed to enjoy the attention so he wouldn’t complain. tobias hasn’t been more grateful for their knowledge of ASL. he took a class junior year and some of it actually stuck. “ he likes you , “ tobias commented , shaking the others hand.
