Holy crap this song makes me cry so much. It’s 3:42 a.m. and I’m just thinking about how much I’ll miss my dad when I dorm in college. My parents and little brother are probably moving to their new condo in the Philippines, or to a new home in Texas, when I start school in the Fall. I’m never emotional with my dad, I never show him how much I love or appreciate him. I guess I don’t know how, other than refuse his money or let him buy things for me except for my birthday/Christmas. I’m so scared of feeling homesick, or not making any friends, and I won’t be able to call him because of the time zone issues and our conflicting schedules. I don’t know how I’m going to be happy this school year without my dad. Growing up sucks.

Almost instantly her face lit up as she moved towards where his voice had come from. So far she didn’t hear any sounds of the guys he had over last night. Which was fine with her, this meant she wasn’t pushing herself into a situation with strangers. When he came into view, she picked up the pace and gave him a small wave. It was hard not to get dreamy eyed looking at him after he’d been working. Silly girlish thoughts most definitely.

            His hand raised to his hat, pressing the rim between his thumb and index finger to give it a slight tilt in her direction. This, of course was his response to her wave. The guys that were over the night previous were all out on a trail ride at the moment, leaving Riku to his usual work. There was a moment's glance back to check what the horse was up to before his full attention was returned to her. "Afternoon, Kai.. How has your day been?" There was a soft tone in his voice whenever he spoke to her, though he was raised being told to respect others. It was only a part of how he was raised that he used his best manners around her.

"Hey Riku~" She spoke as she walked through the barn doors, looking for him with a soft smile on her face. Hopefully this time she wouldn't be intruding.

            It was grooming day for a few of his horses, being that the male had an interesting night having to babysit a few friends of his after she'd gone home. He supposed that was what happened when he was the 'responsible one' in the group. A smile passed his lips at hearing her voice, causing the horse trainer to put the brush down and head over to the stall door to lean over the top bit. "I'm in here."
