“You hypnotize everyone into walking out of the building and - I don’t know - doing the Macarena on the sidewalk. Bastian and I will go in by the loading dock.” Trickster grinned. This was gonna be fun. “Rogue’s Rules – no murder, just theft. I’ll drop a bunch of minor explosives and other distractions to cover out escape. I’ve already got a getaway van. Sound good?”

“Got it. I make citizens do the Macarena, you two do the explosions in the loading dock, no murder, just theft, getaway van. What do I do after I get the citizens out though? Or should you guys be done by the time I get done? And where’s the van?” Piper parroted then questioned. Had to make sure he completely understood so they didn’t slip up or anything.

Bastian nodded his head vigorously. “Got it. I was raised by two Rogues, I know the rules~! Theft is a lot more fun than murder seems to be anyway! I’ll help with the explosives too!”

“Eh, it was thrown together pretty recently. And don’t you know I’m nocturnal? Up all night and sleep all day. Actually I’m surprised I haven’t tried pulling a heist so late or.. early, before…” Piper considered. “Anyways, have you two met before? He’s more social than I am I think.”

“I needed to fix my shoes and he held my duck,” Jamie said, “A rubber duck.” That probably deserved clarification. “And speaking of heists -” she turned to Bastian - “Are you going to help or hinder? We’re going to rob a Walmart for stuff and to annoy them.” The kid didn’t seem to be the Lawful type, but you never could tell. Con looked like the Big Blue Bastard, after all.

“Mmhmm~! I also helped name the duckie too!” he stated, placing his hands on his hips and giggling.

“Oh I’m here to help! I haven’t done anything truly fun in awhile and I’d love to help!” More time to spend with his roommate. “In it for getting more snack food.”

Piper was confused but not completely as he turned to face Bastian. Trying his best not to sound like a child who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar he said, “Hey~ What are you doing out Bass?” Should he let Bastian in or not? He didn’t want to say the wrong thing and piss off his new friend.

Jamie blinked. “Bass?” she asked. “As in Bastian?” This kid looked about the right size to be her duck-naming friend. “Nice outfit, by the way, I like the aesthetic.” Flying person, wearing stripes – she hoped this wasn’t that Axel Walker kid who’d stolen her shtick.

Bastian beamed and giggled, but put on a fake pout. “I got lonely and I wanted to join you Pipes! You need to know that I live with a Hartley back in my world. I know that you guys aren’t out and about this early in the morning without reason, silly goose!” he stated, the pout forming into a grin. He looks over at Jaime now and waves. “Hiiii! Yes it is I Bastian the adorable! And thanks! I designed it myself actually.”

Piper watched Jamie jump to the next building and hesitated for a second before jumping after her. After regaining his balance on the next roof he beamed happily at her.

Jamie gave Piper a thumbs up and recalibrated her approach plan. He was clearly not yet comfortable with roof hopping. And she was only wearing her everyday shoes. There was a fire escape on the nest building if she remembered correctly. And the shift from roof to roof would only take a downward climb. Or drop.

Bastian knew that something was up. Piper never went out. Ever. Especially not this early in the morning. He was getting suspicious and he wanted in on whatever his roomie was doing. Especially this early in the morning. Into his costume he goes. He adjusts his mask before he’s heading to go and look for his roommate.

It wasn’t that hard to find him. Jumping from roof to roof with....was that the female Trickster he met earlier. Heh. What a coinicidink~

“Hey Piper~ Whatcha doing?” he comments, just standing in the air, beaming down at the duo.

[Text] Hey, headed back to the apartment real fast but then out to Wal-Mart. Need anything? ;D

Bastian’s just going to take the rubber duck and stare in confused fashion at the female Trickster. Definitely a James. Outfit looks more like his than Axel’s. He tilts his head and blinks. “Well this is definitely new. A female Trickster,” he comments, giggling a bit at the end.

“Your Dad had rats? So did my best friend. I sympathize with your Papà.” She cocks her head to one side, “I think I shall call him Mr. Quacks, thank you for the suggestion.” She grins manicly. “Do you wanna see what he does?”

“Yeah he did. Hoards of them at times.” She perked up at the other using his name. “You’re most welcome! Ooo~ What does he do? I wanna see I wanna see!”

Jamie drops herself to the ground so that she isn’t towering awkwardly over Bastian. “Nice to meet you, Bastian and Oreo,” she says, holding out a finger for the rat to sniff. “And no, I am not. Rats make wonder pet-friends in every universe I’ve ever been in, though.” She smiles.

Oreo stops grooming himself and stares at the finger before sniffing and licking it in greeting. “Neither am I. They better. Rats are the best. My Dad has tons of them back in my world. Papà used to not like them that much, but he got used to them. You have to when it’s my Dad,” he chuckles out, his smile growing bigger. “Does the duckie have a name? If not you should name him Mr. Quacks.”

“There are too many men in this universe,” Trickster complains, still fussing with her boots, “Ah-ha!” She begins floating several inches above the floor. “That’s fixed it. Thanks for holding my duck.” She holds out her hand for the duck.

Bastian watches her float and smiles, placing the duck back in her hands. “You’re welcome!” Oreo squeaked and made his way out of the blonde’s pocket and up onto his shoulder to groom himself and squeak in greeting at the new person. “Yeah, but I don’t mind it! Everyone I’ve met in this world is nice. So you aren’t from this universe either? OH! I’m Bastian by the way. And this little fella’s Oreo!”

“Like that’s any better. Better stick with Bastian. Sounds cooler. Still dorky, but Sebastian is dorkier.” Or just change names like he did. But he probably shouldn’t say that. Don’t want to give the kid any ideas. Especially if he picks a better name than his.

“Kid?! How old are you anyway?”

“Sebastian is a cool name shush. It’s my full name that’s weird so there you go.” He’s happy with his name thank you very much. No need to change it. Though really he thinks your real name is cool too. He never understood the change.

“Nineteen. I’m nineteen years old.”

“What kinda name is ‘Bastian’?” And his name was Giovanno so he really wasn’t one to talk, but still. What person names their kids these weird names anyway?! But at least they have different names. Be weird if he really found himself a duplicate of him.

“Name’s James. Now how did you steal my face?”

“It’s short for Sebastian. Apparently strange names runs in the Dad side of the family. Nice to meet ya James.” Please don’t be a mini...mini version of his Papà. Please? With his luck you probably are.

I dun know really. Like....maybe his world is different or something. Isn’t there a mini Len around his age? Maybe his past is similar. Start everything at a very young age.

Well you’re older and the older you get the more attractive you are so of course you’d be cuter than the kid...What the hell am I saying that is my face and I am cute as hell. I can finally call someone a kid and pipsqueak though....this pleases me.
