001 âą I Want Nothing But You
ââ letâs move in together.â the words left cathyâs lips without a second thought. legs tucked underneath her, she looked up at jamie from where her head was resting on his chest. dark hazelnut eyes met the crystal blue ones sheâd grown so found of, and she was amazed at how good it felt to be here with him in this moment. theyâd pulled over on their way to home from her parentâs house to sit in the back of his convertible under the vibrant green treesâ just enjoying the rays of sunshine peeking through the branches. the whole drive down, sheâd opened up to him for the first time about her last relationship, and her best friend from high schoolâ two of the things that shaped her into the version of herself sitting beside him. ââŠÂ i donât mean to put on any pressure but, i know when a thing is right.â the brunette continued, joyful laughter bubbling up within her, âi mean really, just think about it. â think about what we could be, think about how i love you and say youâll move in with me.â ever since the day that they met, cathy had been swept up in the boy, falling in love faster then she knew possible, and completely unable to ignore the feeling that this was what her life had been leading up to all this time. âwe can do better then any of the people in this bullshit town.â
jamie had his head leaned back, staring up at the trees as they spoke-- talked about everything from her audition last week to the families they had both grown up in. and not once had he ever felt more at peace. it was idyllic, away from the city, away from their normal lives. just the two of them. together. there was something about cathy, he had felt it from the day they met, that was purely magnetic. he wanted to be around her, be with her, be a part of her life. but maybe this was moving a bit too fast. theyâd been together for... four, no five, months? jamie had lost count somewhere in the weeks that flew by. âwow.â he sat up and turned to look at cathy, his brows raised, taking a moment before he spoke again. âi like the way you think. why donât we start looking for a place? and maybe we donât tell your parents about this thing just yet?â i know when a thing is right-- jamie liked the sound of that. her confidence, their love... truthfully they could do better than the rest of their friends and family, together.
