" I named James' middle name after you. "
“What? Why?”
“ Why? Because your my brother. We might only be half brothers and have many other siblings we don’t know but hey, your the only one I really have. The only family, and now I have James. So it felt fitting.”
Magnus smiled softly. “Well… Thank you. I suppose my name is pretty cool.”
Howl smiled back. “ You’re welcome, and it is. It’d be a shame it wasnt , especially for James. ” he joked.
Magnus laughed. “How is James?”
“ He’s good … he’s a little rascal though, keeping me up on my feet. You can come see him whenever you want.”
“You should have expected that.” He smiled. “I might come over soon. If you ever need me to look after him for a while, you can always ask.”
“ You’re right, but I love him. He wasnt planned but I’m happy he came into my life. ” He nodded, “ Good, you should. You can come over tomorrow and help me watch him if you’re not busy.”
Magnus nodded and smiled. “I’m free to come round tomorrow, that sounds really good.”
Howl grinned. “ Great, tomorrow it is then. ”
“I’ll be the best uncle in the world.”
" I'm sure you will be. See you tomorrow."
The next day Howl was getting ready for Magnus to come, he had James in a play pen where he was happily playing with toys.
“ I am hundreds of years old. Not a boy.” He grumbles, narrowing his eyes at her. “- And no I don’t recall it being the other way around.”
“But you’re still ’s cute as one-” She grinned, cupping his cheek. “Fine- I’ll get you your lunch.”
He glared, but a smile edged its way onto his face and he laughed. " Fine, but you're more cute than I am." He got up to help, " Let's get both of ours. You'll end up eating mine anyway right?"

Howl took a moment to just stare at Jan, she was adorable from head to foot. He felt lucky to have her here and though he wasn’t always great with moving on and forgetting the past, having her around felt like nothing else mattered. The only thing that was important was right now. With her. He grinned back, “ I was born ready.”
With a slight wag of her eyebrows, Jan let out a chuckle before stepping inside and briefly shedding her shoes, just barely turning to spot the blanket fort before turning back to Howl again. “Well, that definitely looks like a professional-grade fort if I’ve ever seen one.”
Howl stepped aside to let her in and closed the apartment door, turning to watch as she spotted the fort. He gave a shrug and smiled. " Well, I do have magic you know, it's the best way to make a professional grade fort such as this." He gestured dramatically at the blanket fort then scratched his head. " I know I haven't been around much so I'm hoping to make it up to you."

Sorry for not being on! I had vacation and I'm going on another one in an hour but this time I will be on to do replies. This is why I've been so slow I'm sorry!
Send me "I just want to try something..." and my character will react to your character saying that and then...

AU where people age until they reach 18 and then stop aging until they meet their soul mate so they can grow old together.
i’d never die
but imagine already being in a relationship at 18 and then at 22 you’re both sitting there looking at each other and realizing that you both haven’t aged a day
imagine platonically moving in with ur best friend at 18 and then realizing a few years later that you’ve been aging together

Howl grinned at the last text she sent him and up to get ready. He snapped his fingers and a teepee pillow fort was now in the middle of his apartment. Directly in line of the t.v. Then he grabbed some snacks, setting them down just as he heard the knocking. He turned and headed to the door, opening it and smiling. “Hello, fancy meeting you here.”
“Fancy meeting you here, too.” It was such a cheesy way to answer his own way of answering the door, but it happened to work out, anyway. Jan let out a snort before grinning and shaking her head. “We ready to do this thing?”
Howl took a moment to just stare at Jan, she was adorable from head to foot. He felt lucky to have her here and though he wasn't always great with moving on and forgetting the past, having her around felt like nothing else mattered.
