Yeah so, I made a fanfic based off @whellk1's recent WIP... I don't know how I wrote it so fast, but hey! I did it! Hope anyone who reads this slop enjoys lolmao

WAIITTTT THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA, OMG, I WANNA WRITE A ONESHOT OF THIS!!
I don't really have anything to say. I just felt like drawing
Questions I have about the One Punch Man universe :D
(Keep in mind I've only watched the anime + read the manga up until the end of the monster association arc. But I don't care for spoilers!)
How normalised and common is death? Are funerals as important?
Are single graves only for the rich? Are people who are killed in an attack just put in a mass grave?
Would City-Q be for the richer people due to it being safest?
If death/danger is common are some people always packed to evacuate if they live in dangerous areas?
Do some people not even bother evacuating and accept potential death?
What happens to people if their house/work place is destroyed? Are they automatically covered by the hero association/government or are they done for if they don't have insurance?
Are all hero registry exams the same?
Why was Saitama climbing the ranks seen as fishy? Silver Fang and Superalloy Darkshine are shown to climb the ranks but surely with their strength it would have been just as quick?
Would celebrities like Lady Gaga have to rebrand from 'Mother Monster' to something else lol?
How do heroes who just want to kill monsters or don't care for fame deal with fans? Do they ask the hero association to not send them the fan mail they receive?
Imagine Atomic Samurai receiving fanmail but only his disciples (probably Okamaitachi) would be the people to open it.
Do people have last names?
Do heroes get into trouble for all the destruction they cause (aside from Saitama)? Especially ones that cause more damage than the original monster for no real reason, or do the hero association cover it up for them?
Are family bonds as strong once children reach adulthood? Is it normal for people to move cities or do families stay close to each other incase of disasters?
How did no-one notice the city-sized spaceship entering Earth's atmosphere before it wiped out City-A?
Before the Hero Association how were people with powers treated? Were they seen as monsters?
I may make a part 2 another time!! Please feel free to answer these questions if you have an answer I'm very curious to hear your answers!!! :D
Okay so I think about this stuff literally all the time! Mostly when writing fic, but also just in passing because I do kinda love world building.
How normalised and common is death? Are funerals as important? -- Seeing the handful of times characters have die/nearly died and the reactions of other I would say death is still treated similarly to how it is in our world, at least if you know the person. I don't think we've seen funerals other than for the two fallen samurai after the MA arc, but I'd have to assume, at the very least, final rites are still important.
Are single graves only for the rich? Are people who are killed in an attack just put in a mass grave? -- This one is really interesting because I'm never sure exactly how big the continent is. Is it the size of, say, Australia? North America? Africa? They call it a super continent but what does that mean to someone who isn't a geologist like ONE? With monster attacks and destruction ramping up and quickly I would doubt the government would have the infrastructure to dig out and bury each body. Even today we don't do that. I think after attacks, especially big ones like Boros and Vaccineman, you would end up with mass graves and remembrance plaques.
Would City-Q be for the richer people due to it being safest? -- I feel like I read it is one of the most expensive cities because of this reason, but if it isn't canon I would believe this is just how it would shake out, just like City Z being cheaper because of the danger.
If death/danger is common are some people always packed to evacuate if they live in dangerous areas? -- I know I would be. I'd have a "go bag" ready by the door and/or in my car at all times. I know places like Cali in the US and Australia where wildfires are common have people informed on what to pack in their go bags in case fire reaches their homes. A monster attack go bag seems absolutely sensible in this sort of world.
Do some people not even bother evacuating and accept potential death? -- Probably, sad as that is. You can see it today sometimes during natural disasters. People can't or won't flee from hurricanes, tornadoes, floods. I don't see why the same attitude wouldn't translate to monster attacks that are almost as normal.
What happens to people if their house/work place is destroyed? Are they automatically covered by the hero association/government or are they done for if they don't have insurance? -- Again, can't remember where exactly in the manga I read it, but I swear I saw a bit where the HA mentions covering damages caused by heroes as well as providing some sort of civilian relief, but it's foggy. It might also not be for everyone. You might have to sign up for it, like insurance. When the meteor wrecked City Z everyone was made at Saitama because they had no homes or jobs, that tells me that at least some people aren't helped to rebuild by the HA. Maybe they only get relocation assistance.
Are all hero registry exams the same? -- They ought to be if the HA wants things to be fair. But that's if the HA wants things to be fair so....
Why was Saitama climbing the ranks seen as fishy? Silver Fang and Superalloy Darkshine are shown to climb the ranks but surely with their strength it would have been just as quick? -- Saitama, by the time he was moving through B-Class, already had a bad rep. Between the meteor incident (attended by him, C-Class, and 3 different S-Class) and the Seaking fiasco people believed he was a glory thief, partially by Saitama's own admission when he was trying to protect the image of the felled heroes. Add that to how Bang and Darkshine probably got official announcement when they were pulled into S-Class it looks like this C-Class nobody is just stealing kills and credit to rank up. Add to that, Bang was well know to be a legendary master in the martial arts world, and Darkshine looks impressive, let alone had probably made a name in the bodybuilding world before becoming a hero.
Would celebrities like Lady Gaga have to rebrand from 'Mother Monster' to something else lol? -- Probably. People have a very negative view of monsters, understandably so. Though, I don't doubt there's an underground/counterculture sort of group that at least vibes with the aesthetics.
How do heroes who just want to kill monsters or don't care for fame deal with fans? Do they ask the hero association to not send them the fan mail they receive? -- Well, we saw how Genos deals with his unwanted fanmail (incinerate!). Other probably do similar - just toss it. They probably can tell the HA that they don't want it delivered. It would be weird if they couldn't.
Second Round
Do people have last names? -- They must. The rich people funding the HA do sometimes, so I think it's just a matter of us not knowing them. I mean, hell. There's loads of characters we don't know the given names of.
Do heroes get into trouble for all the destruction they cause (aside from Saitama)? Especially ones that cause more damage than the original monster for no real reason, or do the hero association cover it up for them? -- See: answer 6. Follow up, see: Tatsumaki's everything.
Are family bonds as strong once children reach adulthood? Is it normal for people to move cities or do families stay close to each other incase of disasters? -- This is probably a case-by-case thing more likely, especially since 10-15 years ago major monster attacks were very rare. I don't know if the general culture would have had time to shift enough to change, but then again culture can shift super fast, too. I would bet in cities more prone to monster damage parents would want their children to move away and be safer, though the children may be inclined to stay and protect/look after older relatives.
How did no-one notice the city-sized spaceship entering Earth's atmosphere before it wiped out City-A? -- Didn't you hear Metal Bat? They were in a meeting.
Before the Hero Association how were people with powers treated? Were they seen as monsters? -- Probably depended on how they acted. We know Bang was seen as a huge and popular deal in the martial arts world along with a few others like him (Bomb, Suicho). Cyborgs also seem, if not common, not anything to stop and gawk at, so they are also not likely to get treated as poorly as monster just for existing. But people like Tatsumaki and Fubuki, ESPers, were sold off and treated like lab rats sometimes. So there is precedent for dehumanization in the extreme cases. We don't know much about Zombieman's life, before or after he escaped Genus, but is he able to blend into the world? Can people tell there's something off about him? We only know the hero version of him. I'm sure some of them got treated like freaks. Which is sad.

OLD BATAORU ART FROM 2023 😭
almost gagged looking at this, but hey, I'm not a new fan 😹
wanted to draw Badd in a cunty little pose and outfit. i love him.
random MB:MIA sequel I envisioned where everything was all sunshine and rainbows
i think I drew this way back in Oct. 2025?? Maybe November, I don't remember. Bro, I wanted Badd and Garou to have something going on after Garou saved Badd from those surgeons, and shit would get bad, but then get better cuz Garou and Zenko are helping Badd heal. Something like that. And then Badd would let Garou stay over cuz Garou is a homeless turd and it's the least Badd can do cuz Garou had saved him and watched over Zenko for months.
I have no clue if they're gonna get a happy ending, but I sure hope they do 🥹 @mistakeandcheese

More Than You Can Chew
Ship(s): Metal Bat/Garou (monster!Garou) Rating: Explicit Summary:
“Ya got hit by that monster a few days ago, right?” A snort, dismissive. Garou even rolled his eyes hard enough that his head moved with them. “Yeah, I’m sure it didn’t feel too bad at the time, but it poisoned ya. That’s why yer like this, because ya were in a lotta pain tryin’ to not do somethin’ stupid that yer body was tellin’ ya to do.”
“That’s what it does,” he tried to explain. “It makes ya go nuts and do stuff ya normally wouldn’t do. The only way to fix it is to follow yer instincts. That’s why I’m out here, to help ya. Figure if yer instincts wanted a fight or whatever we could go at it.”
