Being a system is:
âHey homie, you seem a bit off today. You good?â
Me whoâs been dissociating/feeling disconnected from myself all day: âoh yeah man Iâm good.â
What a conundrum
Traumatized, miserable and permanently sad.
me: *fasts for days*
*excessively works out*
*gets dizzy/lightheaded*
*is exhausted in the middle of the day*
*cries when food is offered*

Quick reminder for the boomers out there, if you thought your parents were mostly wrong or disagreed with them, or resented them, but didn't say it to their faces... That's not respect. That's fear. Respecting someone means you genuinely think highly of them, not that you pretend you do just to stay on their good side. Kids today who speak out against their parents either on social media or to their faces are just being more genuine than you were, the levels of respect are the same
abused kids culture is being startled by basic human decency
A child: developes a mental illness, struggles with school, tries to seek help
Parents: How can you do this to me? You know how this makes me feel? Stop being so dramatic! Other kids have it way worse! How can you embarrass me like that??!!
A child, now adult: Still mentally ill, but has now learned to never open up
Parents: Hey sweetie đ„ș if there's anything going on đ„șđ„ș you can open up to us!!! We're FaMiLy đ„șđ„șđđđ
i have a number of emotions, including: cowboy, lesbian, halloween, unconscious, 70s soft rock, pure unbridled rage, void, iâm dying squirtle, and pull the trigger piglet
do you ever get scared that youâre unintentionally toxic or draining to be around, like youâre the bad guy
just because I stop talking about it doesnât mean Iâm okay, just got tired of feeling like a burden

thinking that what happened âwasnât bad enoughâ is a sign that it was.
your brain wouldnât be trying to protect itself from the reality of what happened if what happened didnât hurt you.
questioning if your trauma âcountsâ as trauma is a sign of trauma.
âwhat happened to you made you strongerâÂ
i was a child. i didnât need to be strong i needed to be safe
brains say, "I know a spot" and take you to a traumatic memory from 2011
