We can esteem another person's achievements without feeling like an idiot... Where on earth did we come up with the idea that we have to subtract value from ourselves in order to give credit to someone else?

Mother Nature keeps throwing us for a loop everyday, Baltimore Bill predicted an early winter, it is definitely starting to get cooler but that doesn't mean it is time to hibernate quite yet! Here are some happenings to get into this weekend in the lovely city of Baltimore.
Break out your orange, crush some Natty Bohs and head to the Yard - the O's will be taking on the Red Sox Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Usually it is the Red Sox that draws people to the stadium, this time around it is the O's as they continue their fight for one of the 2 wild card spots. Let's go O's!
On Friday - Station North hosts their Ten Year Anniversary Celebration during their September Final Friday. From 5-9PM you will find pizza from Joe Squared, beer from Flying Dog, the Governor, live music and more on the rooftop of the Charles Street parking garage. From there you can continue onto the monthly Baltimore Bike Party. It is back and bigger than ever. Last month, over 700 bicyclists rode - lets see if we can get more this month! This months theme is "Bells & Whistles" - in case people miss the hundreds of people on bikes, they will hear them! Check out the route on their facebook page. They are meeting at Pearlstone Park (not the Washington Monument) this month. The route ends at Baltimore's newest brewery, Union Craft Brewery in Clipper Mill, for an after party. It is $10 all-you-can-drink along with some food trucks on site for some post bike ride grub. Remember to bring a spare tube - just in case!
The Federal Hill Street Beat Festival is this Sunday featuring more than 80 vendors - from Natty Boh Gear to crab cakes to hand-crafted jewelry. Free admission and live music from 11AM-7PM.
Now go forth and Check Out Charm City!
People think yoga is boring. This is one of the big raps against it. And it is, if you're not concentrating. If you fling into the pose, and let your mind wander, and merely tolerate the experience, yoga is, in fact, extremely boring. But if you concentrate hard, boredom opens up and the pose becomes the most interesting thing on earth, in fact the only thing on earth. The more you practice dharana, the simpler the world gets. There's just you and the thing on which you are bending your attention.

The very first Charm City Music Fest comes to Harbor East this Saturday. It'll be a long but awesome day starting at Noon and going until 11PM. Weezer is headlining, along with Flogging Molly, Stephen Marley, Eve 6 and many more. There will be local vendors with crafts and food - even steamed crabs in the "Crab & Seafood Village". Don't miss the Electronic Dance Tent with some of the area's best DJ's. The Maryland Wine Festival is back at the Farm Museum this weekend in Westminster. The biggest wine festival in the region packs over 40 wineries to taste from, along with food vendors, craft vendors and live music. It is a perfect way to enjoy this gorgeous end of summer weather as we head into autumn. Open on Saturday and Sunday. Join me for the Wine Down 5K bright and early Sunday before rewarding yourself with some delicious local wine.
Week 1 Victory against the Bengals. Excited to see if this Ravens fan puts up a different inflatable football player for each team. Gotta love my neighborhood!

Moving- the perfect chance to get rid of unnecessary things and bring a new organization to your life. Unfortunately between the moving and having a life, it can be hard to make time for this and often you can end up more cluttered - as seen in the left photo. But with a little time and the help if the container store, the after photo on the right makes me happy!
