When did “Finding the Homework assignment” become a game?

Alright friends, I am going to take you on a journey on what homework looks like in Junior High. Not the assignment itself, the discovery of the assignment. I am beginning to think that I would fail every assignment if I was in online school right now. First, you don’t get an alert that you have an assignment. Second, there are multiple platforms that teachers use to assign homework, post notes and turn in homework. It may be that I am old and just don’t get it anymore, but my son doesn't get it either and judging by the comments in the “classwork” sections, it shows most students don't get it. I just checked his iPad (that the school provided) to see what is missing. I came across an icon that looks like an assignment sheet and a teacher’s comment which read, “since most of you didn't do this assignment, its homework” and a response of a student which said, “what assignment?” - or something like that. 

My question: Parents with junior high kids, using Google Classroom...HOW THE HECK DO YOU DO IT??? 

Have you developed a system that works for you and if you have, PLEASE SHARE!! I don’t want my son to struggle like this and then be overwhelmed to find assignments he totally missed.

Healthier Kids-the alternative to a boring kids office chair My daughter complained (first day of school, of course) that her back and bottom were in pain from the uncomfortable chairs that I had set up in their work station for school.
