Last night's match broke the record for the most live spectators in the ACGL semi-finals.
The match between Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and the Philippines' Manila Digger at Morodok Techo National Stadium on Thursday, April 9, broke the record for the most-watched match for an AFC Challenge League semi-final.
The first leg of the 2025-2026 ACGL semi-final between Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and Manila Digger ended in a 1-1 draw. The home team took the lead through Tiago Alves in the 4th minute. Entering the second half, in the 85th minute, the visitors equalized through Pa Ousman Gai.
The big match attracted a huge crowd of 16,602fans . This statistic made last night's match break the record set by the match between Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and Madura United last season as the most watched match in the ACGL semi-finals, which had 10,765 fans.
This is the second time that Morodok Techo National Stadium has held the record for the most spectators in the ACGL semi-finals for two consecutive seasons. However, the ACGL semi-finals are not over yet, with one leg remaining, which will be decided in the second leg in the Philippines on April 16, 2026.
So this record will have to wait and see if fans in the Philippines can break the record of fans in Cambodia.
