AN INTERVIEW WITH PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON
“I think when you show up to work each day the goal is, ‘How can you make this just one shot?’ because when you have to edit it together, it requires way more attention to detail than you’d think. You have to match things and do it over again, so it’s best if you can just get two people in the scene talking and it can be more fun because you’re just going after that one thing. It gets you concentrated and it can be effective. I like not having to edit. If you can get two good actors in the same shot then you can watch them both and you don’t have to choose where you’re looking, you can let the audience decide. It’s instinctual moment to moment or scene to scene. It’s simple and nuts-and-bolts stuff, it usually doesn’t have any larger design behind it.”

Best film of last year.
What’s the best preparation for being a film director? Seeing movies. One of the things that gave me the most confidence in trying to make a film was seeing all the lousy films that I saw. Because I sat there and thought, Well, I don’t know a goddamn thing about movies, but I know I can make a film better than that. —Stanley Kubrick, The Artist Speaks for Himself
So far we've received a good amount of press and much of it strongly worded. Our movie is one of them love it or hate it joints. Both of those feelings is than an "eh". This review however is great. Ha!
Heading off to Sundance 2015 for the premiere of Nasty Baby, a crazy film I produced. Rolling w/ Chilean crew, let's have fun, NY forever.

This is music video and sports at its best. More non-sports sports! PTA agrees and co-signed this young Canadian director at his NYFF talk on inspiration/influences.
“That gets me going,” Anderson said enthusiastically. “It’s fucking great. It just saw it. It made me hyper, it made me want to dance around the room. I just want to bounce off the walls.”
“Everything clicks,” he said. “It’s spooky too. It makes you pumped and it has this really great energy, but this energy that starts to get a little bit crazy and feverish and you see some of the faces she got. These frat guys bouncing around and they seem all too real and all too date-rapey. And there’s that danger lurking underneath it. But on top of it, it just makes me want to dance.”
