BUCK FIGHT IS ELEMENTARY FIGHT

I get into an elementary fight with a buck.

The pain of being challenged on the word "coward" should be ticketed to him, not me.

The men love testing the weight of a scale. His doe was experimenting on me, picking the best dress to match the pink of my calm. I said "ok" and we hit it off without the know and warning sign of unavailable Wifi in her room. The Wifi comes back and I pour him a gentle lecture on how he should focus on the man he can become for his woman,

instead of screeching for robbery out of a scale from a woman.

BEHIND THE DOOR

I slept in my room,

and when I woke up,

I was in a dark space

filled with doors and nothingness.

I opened one door —

happy memories came flooding in.

At that moment,

I knew the dark space

was my mind.

I wanted to open another.

A voice — desperate — said not to.

It begged me not to.

I still did.

In that room were memories,

memories I didn’t remember.

They were sad,

like I forced myself to forget them.

And now, I did it.

I opened the forbidden.

Since I opened this door,

I can no longer leave,

get out of this dark space.

Now I’m stuck,

aimlessly wandering around,

replaying and replaying the videos,

the movies kept behind that door.

It’s like I’m in a never-ending loop.
