"Equius." He looked at the roof regretfully. "I thought we were friends but I, guess not." He didn't fully understand Equius, guy was amazing strong but ashamed. "Hit 'im a few times but he just kept hittin' back."
He could just about feel himself being analysed, twisted his gut knowing that.
Twisted him more painfully when she started to pry into him.
"I-I don't know." He sighed, annoyed. "I thought I did but, I don't know.
Jade put her hands up in a gesture of surrender. "Hey, sorry I asked; not my place to bug you about it. I just don't like seeing you like this."
She still felt a great deal of anger at whoever this Equius guy was, but her questions were obviously making him uncomfortable, so she tried to rein it in. She didn't usually do that, but she was making a herculean effort to be more aware of her actions, at least right now. Although she generally didn't see her do-first-think-later tendencies as bad, she liked to think she knew when to show a little more awareness.
"Anyway, I sure hope they let you out of here soon," she commented, stretching. "Fat lot of good being cooped up in these depressing rooms does for anyone trying to heal."
