âSometimes we get sad about things and we donât like to tell other people that we are sad about them. We like to keep it a secret. Or sometimes, we are sad but we really donât know why we are sad, so we say we arenât sad but we really are.â
â Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Youâre not too sensitive. youâre not overreacting. if it hurts you, it hurts you

Thereâs something so pure about someone whoâs excited to be around you. Like yes tell me you want to see me, tell me when exactly you want see me, tell me you want to kiss me, tell me you miss me, tell me youâre looking forward to next time we meet. Vocalize
i aspire to be one of those people who are known for always smelling good and treating people kindly
âItâll be weird seeing her again. Itâll be like revisiting a memory that you thought youâd forgotten. Her hair will be longer, or shorter, her hair will have changed; hair always does. Her eyes will be the same. Hearing her voice will be like going back to the place you used to live and noticing the new curtains. Being close to her will be strange. Sheâll say something like, âyou look well,â and youâll reply with a, âthanks, you too.â And itâll feel like death, like an iron fist around your heart. And then sheâll point to your shirt and say, âis that new?â and you wonât have the heart to say you bought it seven months ago after she left, so instead you say, âI havenât worn it around you before.â When she emits a small laugh youâll feel the tiniest ounce of pride. She still finds you funny. When sheâs telling you about her new life youâll find your mind wandering into places you didnât think mattered anymore. Places like, was she in love now and was she being treated well? Places like, did she ever miss you, and in and amongst all of her living did she ever consider coming back?â
