Hello, hello, everyone, and welcome to the Magic Kaito Animation Project! This is going to be a fan-run project, attempting to animate the legendary lost chapter of MK 1412 - 'A Clockwork Heart'. It's an extremely ambitious project that aims to direct and produce a fully animated episode with voice acting and sound effects. The timeline for this project is very tenuous at the moment, since it's liable not to be finished at all! :3
Here is the interest form. Look below for requirements on what every role will be doing.
Now, requirements. Keep in mind this may lessen depending on how much of every role shows up.
Scriptwriters
Scriptwriters must provide at least a page of script individually. This does not mean you will have to write a full page on your own - far from it. It is highly recommended that you work together! This just means that of everything you contribute, it must come out to about a page.
Storyboarders
Work together with the scriptwriters to come up with exciting scenes! Try to contribute about half a scene on your own. (A lot of these will be less strict.)
Foley Artists
These will mostly be sound artists. They make the various sounds. Contribute at least one sound. There may not be enough for everyone. Also keep in mind the relative volume and material - not everything sounds exactly like it looks.
Voice Actors
There will be a limited number of these. If sign up ever happens, everyone auditioning must send in a recording of their auditions. Please keep in mind they are very sought after positions, and we may have only one understudy for each, if needed.
Background Artist
As the name says, these artists will create backgrounds and occasionally foregrounds. Please contribute at least one.
Animators
Ah, the essential animators! Since this is a 25-30 minute project (hopefully) if around 25-30 animators minimum applies we can get this off the ground. If even more apply, then this could change. At absolute minimum, one minute is required from each animator.
Concept Artist
Will work with the scriptwriters and storyboarders. Please contribute one concept.
Music Artist / Editor
To assist with music for the project! Background music is essential. Please help to develop at least one track. We will be using some from the anime proper, but there will be some new music needed.
Video Editor
To put everything together! Please help to contribute at least one minute of footage.
And that should be all! If you don't want to assist with the project but would still like to see it, I request you at least fill out the interest check. Also do keep in mind that it's dubious whether this project will be completed at all. Once enough people have shown interest in this, a rough timeline will be drawn up and presented. And if anyone has prior experience to working on a animation team or short, please reach out! We need all the help we can get!
Lucifer the demon butler looking after Akako-sama, the Red Witch and his precious mistress that he serves. I like how he's her minion for her evil plots but but also the adult in the room.
Akako-chan sleeping, she looks really angelic when she's asleep and deserves it for protecting Kaito? Maybe she has prophetic dream powers like Hattori or maybe she enters the Ekoda Gang's dreams to protect her new friends from nightmares and they have fun together in dream land. Gosho really needs to let the DCMK children rest sometimes.
ohh that's sweet. she would do it without doubts. even if her protection is more focused on Kaito (I'm sure she read his tarot's cards every morning) she also have a soft stop for Aoko and why not, Hakuba is also there so she'll check everything is alright around them.
i don't know,,, it feels kinda flat to me. don't get me wrong, maybe in the right hands it could be cute! but they're just not attached to my brain chemistry.
i wish they had canon interactions though. they share a lot, it could be interesting!
and honestly? why has Aoko never shown up in detco?? Nakamori brings her with him constantly in MK. Ran and Aoko could totally hang out.
kwjdks sorry, that question really caught me off guard. I guess they would count as a rare pair, huh? I could see something more platonic, like admiration from Aoko's side (Shinichi is a competent detective who could catch Kid! She's on the police's side). Maybe even as a mediator so Inspector Nakamori could get used to having another troublesome teenage detective around (since he eventually accepted Hakuba, but he was really annoyed when he first interacted with Shinichi because "who does this brat think he is, giving orders?") It would be a funny one-sided rivalry,,,,
oh this ended up being about Nakamori and Kid... I think I rambled a bit too much, oops.
well, talking about them as a couple? my first and only thought is that Aoko doesn't need someone else who would leave her aside because of "some situation" ("sorry, a case came up!"). She already has way too much of that in her life...
