We keep it movin’ like poverty My whole zone’s on that Lost Art tranquility Stashin’ styles like the lottery the novelty of soul I’ll hit ya in the head, the slang buster Niggas wanna test, we shine like Al-Mustafa Madlib the bad kid, I’m the one to hit ya with the total bliss Whether extra crisp or mad dirty poppin’ hits The shit sound better than yours cuz we got the force While you’re going off course, like you’re giving up drawers The beat conductor, I simply grab the mic and bless Or wonder how many jealous suckers are gonna try and test
“Whenimondamic” by Lootpack from their first and only album, Soundpieces: Da Antidote. Awesome old-school speeded-up sampling stuff … not too sure why Madlib, Wildchild, and DJ Romes appear to be part-Smurf on the cover, though.
I got into Lootpack via Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4, which had the best soundtrack in the series (and possibly any video game), including “Whenimondamic”, “House of the Rising Drum" by Delinquent Habits, ”Mass Appeal“ by Gang Starr, AC/DC’s ”TNT“, De La Soul’s ”Oodles of O’s“ and N.W.A.’s ”Express Yourself“.
Keith Mansfield - Morning Broadway, from the library album Chorus and Orchestra. Released in UK 1969 on KPM. Issued as number 1049.
What do you think of The Eric Andre Show?
“Is he a mystery? Is he a cartoon character? Is he real?”

Oh yayerrrrrr!
Thoughts: The Jazz record, ‘A Child is Born’ by The Howard Hanger Trio (1974), may have been Nas’s inspiration for the ‘Illmatic’ album cover art. Being that his father is a Jazz musician , Nas may have stumbled across this record as a child and subconsciously remembered it.
SAMPLE OF THE DAY!
Nas, ‘The World Is Yours’, sampled from ‘I Love Music’ by Ahmad Jamal.

Kendrick Lamar ‘The Heart Pt. 1′, sampled from ‘Umi Says’ by Mos Def.
