Do u have any advice on how to not download a bunch of cc, or at least go through cc u have without opening and closing the game? 🤔
I have so many old cc or ones that are broken and I can't figure out what their file names are bc I just have too much 😭
I know the feeling! While I do not have any advice on how to stop downloading CC, I do have some advice on getting rid of unwanted CC in your game!! I personally use the handy Sims 4 Tray Importer (website is in French, click on the orange button with ‘Télécharger ce fichier’ to downlad). This will allow you to see all the builds, rooms and households you have saved to your library in the Sims 4. If you click on one of them, it will also show you a list of CC you used. So, what I do:
Launch the game and make a Sim/multiple Sims wearing all the CC you no longer want/no longer works. Be careful that your Sims are not wearing any CC on accident that you would like to keep! (Remember that Sims can have multiple outfits per category)
Save the Sim/household to your library
Close down the game, and open the Sims 4 Tray Importer
Find the household you just saved
Check the list of the CC you used (this should be a tab on the top) and select all of it (with the exception of any defaults you might have that you would like to keep, but these should be listed as such)
After selecting all of the CC in the list, press the right mouse button and select ‘Open File Location’. This will open your Mods folder (or the folders inside of your Mods folder if you have several folders), and have all the CC you selected in the list already selected for you.
Now you just need to press delete, and ta-da! Unwanted CAS CC gone.
Rinse and repeat if there’s more you want to get rid of.
Launch the game and start on an empty lot and create a room (or house, it doesn’t really matter but a room is easier/faster) and fill it with all the Build/Buy items that you no longer want or no longer work.
Save the room (or the house) to your library
Follow the same steps (step 3 -8) as for CAS items above

The Sims 4 Studio also has an option where you can check your CC with visuals, but without loading up the game. When you start the Sims 4 Studio, click on ‘My CC’. This will take you to a list of everything that is in your Mod folder and will show you exactly what is ‘inside’ of a .package file (for CAS items it will show on top of a mannequin and for build/buy items it will show the 3D model).
These methods only work for CAS and Build/Buy, so things like actual mods, traits, poses, et cetera you will still have to either find manually inside of your mods folder in the case of unwanted CC, or use a mod conflict detector for broken CC.
