Dino Squad Episode Idea:

At the end of s2ep3 “Attack of the Brain-A-Saurus”, Fiona mentions how this latest adventure will be a great entry for her diary. I love how none of them remark on this at all?? Like girlie are you creating physical evidence exposing yourself and your friends as dinosaurs! This is perfect for Veloci to get his hands on! It would be a really high stakes episode, plus great character episode for Fiona. There could be more personal private things (besides dino powers) in her diary that she doesn’t want the team to know either.

i know, long fancy word, but BASICALLY EXCESSIVE PICKING AT YOUR NAILS IS LIKE,, A REAL THING??

holy fuck. no one told me about this. I've been having trouble with picking at my nails for yeaaarrsss. since i was like, 7 or 8. i remember getting hangnails from it a lot. hell, i still do, a lot!!!!

i use my nails, usually my thumbnail. to pick away at my nails and cuticles and nailbeds and so on. sometimes i'll bite on the skin around my nails, but never my ACTUAL nail. i dont bite my nails. i pick at them. ive been doing it for literal years.

if i can get my hands on scissors or something sharp, I'll usually use that to mess with my nails. its a real problem. i do it so much, not a day goes by where i dont have a hangnail or my nail hurts from excessive picking. i do it every. single. day. all the damn time. sometimes i do it when I'm thinking about something, sometimes i do it when im bored, i do it a lot when im nervous. i just destroy my nails

but get this: my little sister does it too. i have 4 younger siblings, and the very youngest, my sister, has just started doing it too. she doesn't know i do it, she's fucking what, 7? she's 7 and does it. just like i did when i was 7.

i dont know if onychotillomania or whatever is hereditary or what, but damn its crazy. i had no idea this was like. an actual thing other people besides me did. everyone else just bites my nails. no one but me and my sister actually picks at it. cool

I know many people might not like it, but I wish Citra and Rowan never got romantic. I know it’s like a large drive in the plot and story but it feels so forced in the end, ya know? They didn’t nearly have enough chemistry throughout the books. I think the most they ever had was in Scythe when they trained side-by-side with Faraday. After Rowan gets broken by Goddard and Citra prospers, that’s where their paths forever separate. 

So here me out.

Wouldn’t it kind have been a cool dynamic if they became enemies? Scythe Anastasia being a good scythe while Scythe Lucifer killing bad ones? They become opposites. I think it would have been way more interesting for Scythe Anastasia to take up Constantine’s roll of hunting down Lucifer in Thunderhead. It would have more a natural and dramatic flow with their characters and relationships. 

I don’t know, that’s just my opinion. What do you guys think?

Here, I am going to vomit my opinions about the toll. 

1) the things I liked

* Astrid’s entire character and ending HOLY FUCK that’s the type of shit we needed for all of the rest of the main characters

* Sykora had a really nice ending. Like seriously, that shit made me tear up, even though he was such a minor character, at the end the empathy really stuck with me. 

* “Where are you my dear Marie?” that had me sobbing she deserved better you guys

* TYGER COMING BACK WAS WHAT MY SOUL NEEDED

* Jeri being the genderfluid rep we all need

* 53 seconds can be creepy depending on the lense, but there’s something really calm and well written about it.

* Everything circling around the world toll (The Toll, atolls, death toll, tolling, Tolliver, etc)

* VOLTA BEING MENTIONED

That’s about it.

2) the things that made me go “dear god no”

* Rowan’s excuse of an arc. He had like 4 chapters to himself you guys. 

* Wayyyyyyyy tooooo much romance. Citra and Rowan better calm down, it derailed the entire story. And tbh, greyson and jeri feel like they’re just gonna be a summertime fling.

* The Thunderhead’s loopholes get too confusing

* Marie didn’t need to die.

* Goddard never gets any consequences for the hell he caused. I really needed some closure for that, but noooo

* AND THAT SORRY EXCUSE OF A BACKSTORY FOR GODDARD THAT WAS DISAPPOINTING AF

* Citra just dies for no reason, ya know? Her character just stops.

* Ezra??? Just kinda exists but does nothing???

* ARE WE JUST GONNA GLOSS OVER THAT GREYSON ORDERED MORRISON TO GLEAN THE CURATE??? LIKE DOESN’T HE OPPOSE AGAINST THE VIOLENCE??? WHAT IS THIS??? WHY ISN’T IT EVER MENTIONED AGAIN?

* The beginning is too confusing with time jumps and new characters

* Constantine (and Possuelo) both kinda dissapear at the end???

* Character development and satisfying endings are just kinda non existent at this point. 

* Jeri’s hidden age never gets referenced again. Their crew never finds out, and people just kinda assume they’ve turned a few corners. 

I’m so sorry you had to read that. I have too many opinions about this. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the book, but not upset. I just expected more for such an amazing series. I give it around a 3/5.
