Took another jump on a new fic - I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m manic and I just can’t stop writing about musicians. This is wayyyyy off par for me, but it was a request and it’s been so fun to write!

Angst and slow burn if you want it! You can find it on Wattpad! It’s a Morgan Wallen fanfic and it’s truly been a pleasure creating something so damn emotional am with a ton of build up! Haha!

I’d like to remain hopeful that we will see Van again, but it’s hard to tell when there is literally nothing from anyone. Buttttttt I’ll still hang onto hope haha!

Decided to publish a story about Inhaler and Eli. It was originally a Van McCann fic but I wanted to try something new and have been on an Inhaler kick!

I have just witnessed the Reddit post.

I’m just going to sit here and let this one play out. There’s a lot of things I could say, lots of things I’ve heard over the years from inside sources and people close to band members so it’s hard to say what’s real, what’s elaborated and what is just purely made up.

Still a lover of Catfish and Van. I don’t think that will stop.

I get that you probably don't want to give anything away but is there anything you can tell us about the book you are writing? Any little hints about the plot or characters?

Absolutely!

It’s called Speakeasy. It’s about strangers who meet once a month at a wine bar to confess their secrets to each other but they all agree that outside of that monthly meeting, they can’t be friends or meddle in each others lives at all and must be total strangers. A new “member” joins and confesses to a murder while simultaneously, a teenage girl goes missing and the group believe she’s got something to do with it. They wrestle with the morality of what to do and eventually break their own rules to dig into things more which causes a breakdown of each of their lives.

Boyd Waters is one of the members and is entirely based on Van.

have you listened to Sam's album? What's your first impression? Favourite songs etc.

I quite like it. A lot actually. I haven’t read a ton of feedback on it yet but I think it’s brilliant. I’m a big fan of The War On Drugs and since Adam produced it, I do believe you can hear his influence.

Rein Me In, Arm’s Length, Wild Long Lie have been my most repeated. And something about Wild Long Lie reminds me of Closer actually.

I just updated Closer on Wattpad and have plans to keep going with its sequel and with TOLBINY!

I’m also writing a book that I hope to publish and have a character completely based off of Van in it. I haven’t published anything for the world to read other than on Wattpad in several years but am looking forward to sharing my stories again, and, I plan to let everyone know this character is based on Van so hopefully he comes out of hiding haha! I’ll do whatever I can do get that little man’s attention for us!

I’ve seen some, yes. I still have high hopes that we will see some new life from Van and whoever this year! Not sure why, but I feel it in my bones. I think I’ll always hold onto hope for him no matter what haha!

Yes. There will be. Life has been incredibly hectic for the last year. I’ve learned being a partner in a business, while still working full time has made it hard to do much of anything else but am changing my trajectory quite a lot these days! You’ll have updates soon, and your support means the world to me.

I did! Quarters of Change and Gus Dapperton were some of my top artists! No surprise there haha!

My top songs were QOC songs, Mt. Joy and Krooked Kings. Catfish was sprinkled in here and there - mainly Showtime!

no way, that is full circle! How did the topic of Catfish come up?

They casually asked me how long I’d been listening to their stuff and how I found them. I brought up a comment they made on socials when Catfish was “breaking up” and how I was a huge catfish fan, and initially I was offended that they would use the breakup as a stepping stone to get streams. But then I listened to them because of it and was like damn, they sound like The Strokes and I related this all to them. So we started chatting about Catfish, The Strokes and the scene and it went from there.

If you’re considering a live show of a band that is small enough you can still chat with please give them a shot!

did you enjoy QOC? I actually got into the band when you put them in your story. They are playing a tiny venue in Manchester in a couple of weeks and I'm tempted to get a ticket even though I'd have to go on my own 😭

They were amazing! Seriously, one of the best live performances I’ve seen in a while and so much crowd interaction. They are also the NICEST dudes, ever. Ironically, Ben Roter (singer) is a HUGE catfish fan. I had a very in depth discussion with Ben Acker about this and catfish in general which was off considering QOC was such a huge inspo for the Deadcost. Kind of a full circle moment if you ask me!

Go to the show! You’ll make friends and the guys will LOVE the support! They are seriously the best dudes!
