OK guys listen up. (spoilers)
yes, the coming out scene isn’t living up to what everybody hoped for this volume, I know you wanted more. Don’t forget we still have the finale and there’s so much they haven’t covered yet. So we’re gonna be very happy with it by default. Also, a coming out scene is always important to show and even if it didn’t go out how i wanted to I’m still gonna be happy that we got one. especially because it was so needed, considering the audience and like Robin are the only people who know he’s gay for real.
but this is still will‘s perspective on the story and we need to remember that, because will is an unreliable narrator, so everything that we’re seeing and everything that he says is still from his perspective, but that doesn’t make it true .you know who we haven’t seen the perspective of in a while?
mike wheeler. he was clearly pondering something during that coming out scene and we’re gonna get it in the finale. we still have mike’s perspective to wait for.
even though a lot of people are saying the coming out scene felt forced or that the volume felt under climatic, you guys are really only paying attention to the last couple of minutes of the 7th episode because we got a cliffhanger. Obviously we’re not gonna think a lot of shit has gone down, if it hasn’t actually gone down yet.
but in the end, the coming out scene was a necessity because we’ve known vecna would use everything against will, for forever.this was realistically, the quickest and best way will could’ve gone about it before it was too late, because he knew he needed to fight and he couldn’t with this hanging over his head. so now we’re gonna get cool fighting will again. 
circling back to WILL IS AN UNRELIABLE NARRATOR.
just because will thinks that mike is his Tammy, doesn’t mean that mike is actually his Tammy. and in that situation, will is using Tammys name as a replacement for a boy not liking him back, not a boy leaving his life forever just for him to do some self reflecting, like Tammy is now with Robin. this is not over, especially since we have no idea what mike is thinking right now, and they did that on purpose.
just because we’ve known that will has been gay doesn’t mean that everybody else in the show has been super sure of that aswell. especially not mike. The oblivious idiot. Will is now an almost open book and mike is the one who needs to start reading. 
do not give up everybody. when have we ever been so ready to give up before? we’ve waited 10 years for this shit, we can wait another couple days. we haven’t lost yet. and idk about you but i’m fighting for byler until the last second of season 5 and beyond.
