    이정민, 김화용, 진시우로 구성되었던 옥인 콜렉티브는 2009년에 열린 첫 프로젝트의 장소이자 지금은 철거된 종로구 옥인동 옥인아파트의 지명을 딴 작가그룹이다. 옥인 콜렉티브의 활동은 특정 지역에서 출발했지만 더 넓게는 우리 사회의 여러 문제와 넓게 연결되어 있다. 옥인 콜렉티브는 다양한 방식의 예술 형태를 활용하며 일상과 예술의 경계를 넘나든다. 개발 중인 도시에서 쉽게 직면하는 척박한 환경, 사회정치적 딜레마, 문화적 빈곤에 대해 우리는 어떠한 태도를 취할 것인가? 옥인 콜렉티브는 이러한 질문에 대해 특정 커뮤니티의 이해 관계를 대변하거나 또는 이원론적 시각으로 찬반을 나누기 보다는 예술과 사회의 관계를 상호 약속과 교환, 개입의 방식으로 접근하며 현실인식과 자기성찰을 도모하는 유희의 장으로 전환시킨다. 단독 전시인 "옥인 오픈 사이트"(옥인아파트 2010), "안녕 없는 생활들, 모험들"(부산시립미술관 2011), "Open Hangar"(스페인, 2012), "진실은 구체적이다Truth is Concrete"(오스트리아, 2012), (토탈미술관, 2013), "페스티벌 봄"(2014)’, "10회 광주 비엔날레"(2014), "아티팩트 페스티벌 15"(STUK, 벨기에, 2015)’, "무엇인가 잘못됐나요? 게임을 만들자!Rien ne va plus? Okin Collective started out from a particular eviction place and is closely related to urban issues, but their works are involved in wider conditions of the society, crossing over the boundary of the daily life and art with diverse artistic forms. What kind of attitude should we take toward the bleak environment, sociopolitical dilemmas, and cultural poverty? Okin Collective attempts to respond to this question by transforming the site into a field of play that encourages the awareness of reality and self-reflection by approaching the relation between art and society with mutual exchange and engagement instead of representing a specific community's interest or dichotomizing the positions. The group has organized various projects, performances and exhibitions since its inception, including its solo show entitled Okin OPEN SITE at Okin apartments, Seoul(2010). 인천이란 무엇인가. ‘회전예술’은 이렇게 말한다.

2010년대 한국 미술계에서 부각된 현상들 중 하나로, 시각예술가, 디자이너, 기획자 등 다양한 분야의 예술인들이 형성한 소그룹, 콜렉티브 활동들을 들 수 있다. 물론 예술인들의 집단적 활동은 20세기 아방가르드 예술의 역사에서 주축을 이루며 각 세대별로 다양하게 존재해왔고 전혀 새로운 현상이 아니다. 한국 근대미술의 흐름만 보더라도, 50년대 중반 박서보 등 4인의 모더니스트들이 모여 ‘반국전선언’을 했던 <4인전>이나 60-70년대 모더니즘 미술 동인 모임 <AG(한국아방가르드협회)>, 80년대 민중미술그룹 <현실과 발언>, 이어 포스트모던 탈장르 운동을 개진했던 90년대 신세대 미술운동인 <뮤지엄>을 비롯해 수많은 소그룹 예술 동인 활동들이 개진했던 대안적이고 실험적이며 전위적인 실천들이 한국 모더니즘 미술의 역사를 이끌어왔다고 해도 과언이 아니다.

추천인은 <옥인 콜렉티브>가 이러한 계보를 잇는 예술가들의 소그룹 활동들 중 2010년대 한국 동시대 미술 현장에서 가장 두드러진 활동을 해오면서, 이전 세대들이 지녔던 문제의식이나 형식적 측면에서 확연히 다른 지점들을 점유하고 있다는 점에 주목한다. 지난 8년 동안 옥인 콜렉티브가 전개해 온 ‘사회적 실천’으로서의 예술 활동은 한국사회가 처한 신자유주의 체제에서 드러나는 다양한 정치적, 문화적, 사회적 문제들을 다루었는데, 그 방법론에 있어 기존의 사회 참여적 실천들과 차별되는 새로운 패러다임을 제시하고 있다. 특히 이들이 드러내고 있는 공공성이 작가와 참여자 개개인의 관점에서 프로젝트에 연관된 개인들의 삶을 조명하고 그들 각자의 이야기를 사회적 차원으로 이끌어내고 있다는 점에서 대표성을 띤다고 할 것이다. 이 글에서 관련 논지를 깊이 다루는 것은 지면상의 부족으로 불가능하여 차후 본격적인 분석을 시도하고자 하고, 이 짧은 지면에서는 이들의 주요 작업을 통해 이들의 활동이 한국의 사회적 예술의 범주에서 어떠한 위치를 차지하고 있는지에 집중하도록 하겠다.

김화용, 이정민, 진시우 3명이 2009년 7월 결성한 옥인콜렉티브(2017년 현재 강신대가 객원 멤버로 참여)는 당시 오세훈 서울시장의 한강르네상스 사업에 따른 재개발 계획에 의해 강제 철거를 앞둔 옥인동 옥인아파트에서 시작된다. 2010년 11월까지 진행된 <옥인아파트 프로젝트>는 급작스런 철거 과정에서 남겨진 세입자들이 처한 난감한 상황을 알리는 것과 동시에, 예술가로서 그들이 직면한 시대적 조건들에 반응하여 자신들의 일을 어떻게 지속할 수 있을지 묻는 행위였다. 1년 남짓한 시간 동안 옥인아파트 주민들과 함께 철거 과정에 개입한 이들의 실천은 전복적인 목적의 철거 반대 시위나 액티비스트적인 활동이라기보다, 단지 자신들의 주위에서 일어나고 있는 이웃의 문제들에 대해 시선을 머물게 하는 것이었다. 구체적으로 이들이 정책적 차원에서 무차별하게 이루어지는 도시 개발 문제에 맞서 수행한 실천적 행위들은 주민들과 옥상에서 벌인 바캉스나 사생대회, 걷기 대회와 같은 소소한 파티 성격의 이벤트들이었다.

이렇게 옥인아파트는 이들에 의해 주변 사람들의 삶에서 발생하는 문제들에 관심을 기울이고 그로인해 나타나는 모든 개인적 경험이나 감정상태를 시뮬레이션하고 경험의 데이터들을 분석하는 실험실로 변모한 것이다. 반쯤은 폐허가 된 아파트를 둘러보며 버려진 폐기물들 속에서 보물찾기, 옥상에 텐트를 치고 주민들에게 초대장을 돌려 그들과 함께 만찬과 담소 나누기, 도보여행을 하며 옥인동 지역의 시장 상인들을 비롯한 주민들과 대화하며 지역에 대한 다양한 역사적 배경 뿐 아니라 현재 상황을 인지하기 위한 리서치를 시도하는 행위 등은 공공의 문제에 대한 인식과 더불어 평범한 일상 속 개개인의 삶을 새롭게 바라보도록 만든다. 이들의 리서치 여행은 서촌, 한남, 인천 등지로 확장되었고, 근대적 건축물이 지닌 상징성과 주변지역의 역사성 등이 뒤얽힌 공간에 대한 탐사가 포함되었다. 이처럼 끊임없이 변화하고 지속되는 과정으로서 존재하는 이러한 형태의 예술 실천은 수많은 경험의 데이터들을 축적한다.

20세기 중반 플럭서스 예술가들이나 국제상황주의자들의 예술에서 ‘실험적’이라는 용어는 참여자들이 그들의 일상적 삶 안에서 경험의 새로운 형태들을 발견할 수 있는 상황을 구축하는 활동들을 서술하기 위해 사용했다. 가령 파리 시내를 아무런 목적 없이 떠도는 ‘표류’와 같은 실험적 활동은 참여자들의 일상적 삶과 열린 상황들 사이의 즉흥적 관계에 집중된다는 점에서 실험 장소로서 자신들의 대상이 되는 사이트를 열어 놓는 옥인 콜렉티브와 직접적으로 연관된다. 이들은 도시문제를 노래의 소재로 작업하는 ‘폴 어쿠스틱’을 초대하여 철거현장에서 진행되는 즉흥 공연을 마련하고 참여자들의 현장체험으로부터 기록된 글들을 즉흥 랩으로 부르기도 하며, 지역민들로 하여금 음악회/여행/전시/시위 등이 결합된 독특한 경험을 통해 자신들의 문제를 인식하고 스스로 직접 발언할 수 있게 하였다.

이와 같이 사람들이 평범한 자신의 일상 속에서 제기되는 문제들을 스스로 이야기 할 수 있는 자리를 터놓는 이들의 활동은 대안적 미디어로서 <옥인 인터넷 라디오 스테이션 [스튜디오 +82]>라는 플랫폼을 마련하며 더욱 본격화되었다. 2010년 9월 1일 첫 방송을 시작한 옥인 인터넷 라디오는 옥인 콜렉티브의 출발점이 되었던 종로구 옥인아파트 재개발 지역과 같이 도시에서 끊임없이 마주치게 되는 홈과 같은 공간, 그 과정에서 생성되는 일시적인 커뮤니티, 혹인 다양한 협업자들과의 연대감, 작업을 하며 경험하게 되는 특정지역에 대한 호기심으로 청취의 기술을 연마하며, 간-극의 브릿지가 되기를 자처한다. 다시 말해, 자신들이 겪게 되는 삶의 조건들과 관심사를 중심으로 파생되는-이웃에서 듣게 되는-이야기들을 무작위로 엮어가는 게릴라 방송의 형식을 취하는 이들의 협업은 외부로부터 발생한 문제가 아닌, 개인적인 문제로부터 기인함을 강조하는 것이다.

최근 일민미술관에서 개최된 <do it 2017, 서울>전에 참여했던 옥인콜렉티브는 피에르 위그의 지시문을 재해석해 한 퍼포먼스를 진행했다. 이 퍼포먼스는 “무지개가 뜨는 시간처럼”이라는 지시문 문구에 착안해 동성애, 젠더, 소수자 문제에 관심을 집중시키는 듯 보였다. <무지개가 뜨는 시간처럼>은 참여자들에게 “자신의 반려○○(동식물, 사람 포함)과 함께 전시를 관람”하는 기회를 주는 것으로, 참여자들과 관람자들 사이의 미묘한 상황을 만든다. 관습적인 인식의 범주가 무너지는 지점을 탐구하며 과학적인 프로토콜을 따르는 이 퍼포먼스는 실험적 상황들을 통해 관람자를 교란시키고자 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그러나 이와 유사한 성격의 여타 프로젝트들과 달리 이 퍼포먼스는 특별히 극단적이거나 대립적인 상황을 만든 것은 아니다. 오히려 관객들은 강아지, 거북이, 앵무새와 같은 자신의 애완동물이나 식물을 무지개로 장식하고 지정된 드레스코드에 맞춰 파티 장에 오듯 미술관에 방문해 작가들이 제공하는 다과와 선물을 즐긴다. 이러한 상황 설정으로 인해 퀴어 문제와 관련한 기존의 첨예한 사회적 질문들과 그에 따른 특유의 시선들은 희석되거나 사라지고 대신 모두가 동화되어 자신만의 의미를 만들어 낼 수 있는 보편성의 장이 마련된다.

오히려 이들의 퍼포먼스는 관람자들과 참여자들 간의 행위적 패턴에 관심을 갖고 실험하는 사회심리학자들의 태도와 관련되어 논의될 수 있다. 이처럼 덜 극단적인 시나리오를 제시했을 때 참여자들이나 관람자들은 개인적 또는 집단적인 행위들 사이의 ‘관계’에 집중하게 되며, 궁극적으로 자기 자신을 발견하게 된다. 누군가의 반려물인 핑크색 공황장애 약병을 보며, 레지비언 커플의 뒷모습에서, 자신의 반려동물인 작은 거북이가 타인의 커다란 반려견 등 위에 올라 탄 광경에서 우리는 무엇을 느끼고 행동하게 될 것인가. 퍼포먼스 자체가 윤리적, 사회적 또는 젠더의 차이점들을 측정하는 도구처럼 행동 패턴들을 측정하는 것은 인간 행동 패턴들을 윤리적, 사회적 측면에서 지적하는 기능일 뿐 아니라, 관람자들과 참여자들로 하여금 ‘즐거움과 어색함 사이 어딘가에 유일한 감정 상태’를 실험하는 매커니즘에 접속하도록 한다. 이러한 감정상태를 측정하는 것은 모든 개인적 경험이다.

서두에서 밝혔듯, 2009년부터 현재까지 8년째 활발하게 진행되고 있는 이들의 활동은 우리가 살아가고 있는 한국의 사회적 조건을 우리 이웃들이 스스로 자신의 입장에서 이야기 할 수 있도록 패인 공간을 드러내는 것이다. 무엇을 바꾸고자 하는 것도, 무엇이 문제라고 말하는 것도 아니지만, 이들의 활동은 사람들을 행동하고 실천하게 만든다. 이것이 2010년대 한국 동시대 미술 현장에서 옥인 콜렉티브를 2018년 올해의 작가로 추천하는 이유이며 지금 가장 눈여겨보게 만드는 이유이다.

​The emergence of small art groups or collectives whose members are from various fields such as visual art, design and curatorship or project organizing is one of the distinctive phenomena in the Korean art scene in the 2010s. It is true that the collective activities of artists are nothing new at all since they have been in every generation culminating in the avant-garde scene in the twentieth century. This is evident in the fact that it is not exaggerating to say that the history of modern Korean art was inundated with the alternative, experimental and avant-garde practices by numerous small-scale artists’ groups: the ‘Four-artist Exhibition’ whose four modernists including Seobo PARK wrote and announced the ‘Anti-Korean Art Exhibition’ manifesto; the AG, a Korean modernist art group in the 1960s and 1970s; the Hynsil & Baleon, a minjung artists’ group in the 1980s; the Museum, a post-genre art movement of the 1990s “New Generation” era.

​As a nominator, I give attention to the points that Okin Collective has, as the most distinguished among those small-sized art groups that have carried on the long line of such collective practices in the contemporary Korean art community of the 2010s, concerned itself with the issues and formal elements clearly different from those pursued by the art groups of the previous generations. For the past eight years the artistic activities of Okin Collective as ‘social practices’ have engaged in the inquiries into a variety of political, cultural and social problems of Korean society’s neoliberal system, and its methodological strategies suggest a paradigm different from that by those existing social participatory practices. What makes its public concerns particularly distinct is that they cast light on the lives of the individuals related to its projects from the viewpoints of the artists and each and every participant and develop the private stories of them into social narratives. I reserve a more focused and detailed examination of this point for another occasion for want of space and here confine this brief article to its major works through which one can infer where its activities stand in the social spectrum of Korean art.

​Okin Collective was formed by Hwayong KIM, Joungmin YI and Shiu JIN in July 2009—in 2017 Shindae KANG is also participating as a guest member—and its first project was launched at the Okin Apartment Complex in Okin-dong that was subject to forced demolition due to the redevelopment plan as part of the Hangang Renaissance Project initiated by the then Major of Seoul Oh Se Hoon. Okin Apartment Project, which continued until November 2010, was to inform the public of the helpless situation in which the tenants found themselves owing to the sudden eviction and at the same time was an attempt to find an answer to the question of how they could keep doing what they do as artists in the social and political circumstances they were facing. Their over-one-year participatory interventions to the eviction process alongside the tenants were their efforts to be conscious of what were happening around them, more specifically, the problems by which their neighbors were confronted, rather than some subversive doings as social activists to oppose the demolition. What they did as concrete actions against the indiscriminate development by the government were no more than small events such as a summer party with the tenants on the rooftop, a drawing contest and a walking tour.

​Okin Apartments Project is a sort of lab where they direct their own attention to the problems in the lives of people around them, simulate all the resulting personal experiences or emotions and analyze the experiential data. They had a treasure hunt as they looked around the semi-ruined complex, invited the tenants to their tent on the rooftop to have a dinner and a friendly chat with them and did researches not only on the history of the area but to understand the current situation as well by talking with the residents including the merchants in the marketplaces in Okin-dong during their walking tours. These activities facilitate one’s understanding of public matters and provide one with new perspectives towards the individuals’ everyday lives. Later their tours were expanded to include other areas such as Seochon, Hannam-dong and Incheon and were furthered to investigate such spaces where the symbolic features of modern architectures and the historical aspects of their surrounding regions were all interlaced. This kind of artistic practice that exists as a constantly changing and continuous process tends to lead to an accumulation of data.

​In the mid-twentieth century Fluxus artists and International Situationists used the word ‘experimental’ to describe the activities where participants constructed certain situations in which they could discover new forms of experiences within their everyday lives. For example, a direct connection can be forged between the experimental activity of ‘drifting’ in which one wanders around Paris aimlessly and Okin Collective, which opens up their sites as an experiment lab, in the respect that focus is given to the impromptu relation between the daily life of participants and the open-ended situations. They invited Paul Acoustic, which sings about urban problems, to stage a spontaneous performance at the demolition site and improvised a rap song based on the texts on participants’ experience on the spot. They also offered unique events in which a concert, a tour, an exhibition and a protest were all combined, encouraging the residents to perceive their problems and to make remarks on them.

​The activity of Okin Collective to provide a venue where people can speak about their own daily problems was much more fueled by its Okin Internet Radio Station STUDIO +82as an alternative media. Having first aired on September 1, 2010, the Okin Internet Radio Station has intended to be a kind of in-between bridge for different sides by continuously developing the skills of listening through its inquisitive attitude toward the furrow-like spaces that can be constantly encountered in the urban environments such as the Okin Apartments redevelopment zone in Jongro-gu, which served as the starting point for Okin Collective, toward the solidarities with temporary communities or different collaborators that it meets during such encounters and toward the various aspects of those particular areas it comes across during its projects. In other words, its guerilla broadcasting consists of a random weaving of the stories that derive from its own environments and interests—that is, the stories heard from its neighbors—and this on-going collaborative work attaches emphasis on the priority of one’s private matters over the external ones.

​Recently in do it 2017, Seoul held at Ilmin Museum of Art, Okin Collective conducted a performance based on its reinterpretation of Pierre Huyghe’s words. Conceived from the phrase, “Like the duration of a rainbow,” the performance seemed to be related to the issues of homosexuality, gender and minorities. By providing the participants with an opportunity to “view an exhibition together with one’s companion X (anything including animals, plants, humans, etc.),” Like the Duration of a Rainbow points to a certain delicate tension between the participants and the viewers. This performance follows the scientific protocols in its inquiry into the points where the boundaries of conventional perceptions are breached so as to disturb the viewers via an experimentally forged situation. Yet unlike other projects similar to it, this performance does not bring forth a particularly extreme or antagonistic situation. Rather, the viewers visit the museum dressed according to a given dress code with their animal companions such as puppies, turtles and parrots or their favorite plants adorned in rainbow colors and enjoy the refreshments and gifts offered by the artists. This concocted situation paradoxically attenuates, if not eliminate, the sharpness of the existing sharp social questions regarding the LGBT culture and the resulting peculiar gazes and thereby creates a universal area where all can be drawn into a harmony and can thus unfold their own stories.

​This performance can be examined in the context of social psychologists who carry out experiments on the behavioral patterns between viewers and participants. When given a less extreme scenario, both participants and viewers tend to focus on the ‘relationship’ between different personal or collective behaviors and ultimately discover themselves. In seeing a pink bottle of pills for panic attacks as someone’s companion, a back view of a lesbian couple or your little turtle on the back of someone else’s big dog, how would you feel and act? By being directed in the way that it measure behavioral patterns like a tool to measure ethical, social and gender differences, the performance serves the function to account human behavioral patterns in ethical and social terms and makes viewers and participants to log in to the mechanism whereby the ‘only emotional state that is present somewhere in between the pleasant and the awkward’ is experimented. And the criterions for the measurement of this emotional state are nothing but one’s personal experiences.

​ As mentioned above, all the projects of Okin Collective, which have been actively carried out for the last eight years from 2009 to the present, are about exposing the social crevices so that our neighbors can talk about the social conditions of our society from their own angle. It sets out neither to change something nor to argue something is problematic. Nevertheless, its projects make one to act and put their thoughts into practice. This is why Okin Collective deserves our special attention in the current contemporary Korean art scene and thereby more than qualifies to be nominated for the 2018 Korea Artist Prize.

Following [Practice 02-Interlude], which was on display at the <Reenacting History_Collective Actions and Everyday Gestures> exhibition, [Practice 03-Words and Location] was carried out as a viewer-participatory workshop/performance. The words, phrases or sentences ‘discovered’ by the viewers from the texts found in the exhibition or work captions and languages used in the works were collected, and in turn would be placed again in the location newly selected by the viewers. This process forms an exhibition of words transported through the ‘body’, as the words in a caption corresponding to a specific work or the words attributed to one specific work in the exhibition space are arbitrarily deconstructed and selected by the viewers, and subsequently rearranged by the choices made by yet other viewers. Thus, the viewers are engaged in a non-verbal conversation as they analogize the standards and background of others.

[정정 알림] 지난달에 출간된 <소프트파워에서 굿즈까지>(고동연, 다할미디어)의 제5장에는 옥인 콜렉티브의 활동에 관한 내용이 수록되어 있습니다. 집필 과정에서 저자가 사실 확인의 과정을 거쳤음에도 저자가 참고한 출판물들의 오류가 다시 재인용 되거나 틀린 정보가 게재되는 등 다수의 내용에 정정이 필요하여 필자의 동의하에 수정이 필요한 부분을 정리해서 올립니다. 이것은 필자의 관점과는 무관하며 큰 사실관계의 오류를 정정하는 것입니다. 위 책에서 옥인 콜렉티브 관련 내용 외에 다른 부분에 대해서는 저희도 명확하게 확인할 수 없으며, 판매부수가 적은 미술 저작물의 경우 재발간을 요청하기 어려운 상황이라 별다른 방법이 없어 부득이하게 옥인 콜렉티브의 블로그와 인터넷 매체를 통해 공지합니다.   ---------------------------------

>> 168페이지 6째줄 "2015년 옥인 콜렉티브는 광주 비엔날레의 부분으로 각국의 작가들과 작가 공동체, 작가의 생존 문제를 함께 다룬 바 있다". (정정) -> 광주비엔날레는 2014년이었고 당시 광주비엔날레에 참여했던 옥인 콜렉티브의 신작은 광주항쟁을 상징하는 노래인 ‘님을 위한 행진곡’이 2009년부터 공식적인 행사에서 제창 금지된 데 대한 비판적인 관점을 담은 사운드와 퍼포먼스 작업 <작전명-님과 노래를 위하여>(2014)였습니다.

>> 171페이지 첫 번째 단락의 작업 설명에서. “아르코 미술관에서 열린 2012년 <<작전명-까맣고 뜨거운 것을 위하여>>에서 데모를 위한 피켓트가 정지된 상태로” (정정) -> 대안공간 루프에 설치된 <작전명-하얗고 차가운 것을 위하여>입니다. 피켓이 등장하는 작업은 <작전명-하얗고 차가운 것을 위하여>이고 이것은 시위에 쓰이는 피켓 모양을 하고 있지만 눈을 치우는 도구로 쓰여졌습니다. 설치된 오브제 그 자체 보다는 관객들과 함께 한 약속을 특정 조건과 시점에서 이행하는 행위가 더 중요한 작업이었습니다.  

>> 171페이지와 175 페이지의 서술에 등장하는 옥인 콜렉티브의 깃발(2010)은 흰 깃발이 아니고 그래서 항복의 의미를 나타내는 것이 아닙니다. 이 깃발은 '지금 여기에 옥인이 있다‘라는 일종의 신호일뿐 다른 의미를 내포하지 않으려고 의도된 것입니다.

>> 175 페이지 마지막 줄, “제주도로 가서 인터넷 라디오 <패닉룸>을 진행하였다. <패닉룸>에서는 인터뷰 응대자의 얼굴을 모자이크로 처리하고 소리만 들리도록 함으로써” (정정) -> 옥인 콜렉티브 인터넷 라디오의 제목은 [스튜디오+82]이며 설치 작업이었던 <패닉룸>(2010)에서는 인터뷰 응대자의 얼굴을 모자이크 처리하지 않았고 참여자의 동의하에 촬영했습니다.

178 페이지 두 번째 단락 절반에 걸쳐 필자가 서술한 <옥상 3부작>은 이정민 작가의 개인전(2010) 제목이자 작업의 제목이었고, 저자의 설명 중에 3부에 해당하는 설치 작업은 "이정민 작가가 김화용 작가의 개인적인 가족사”를 다룬 것이 아니라 이정민 작가 본인의 개인적인 가족사를 다룬 것입니다.

Members of Okin Collective, Joungmin Yi and Shiu Jin are participating as their text work entitled <Self-directed Guide> in the exhibition "The Art of Dissonance" curated by Gahee Park at Seoul Museum of Art. This work has been conceived to function as footnotes or questions that make detours around the works'(the collections of British Council) original contexts and provide a point of reference for members of Korean Society.
