goodnight moon || louis and aleks
Aleks had pulled on one of his many band tees, the one in question happening to be a Green Day one, and some lounge pants, yawning and covering his mouth. After going two weeks without sleep, even an hour’s nap was way overdue. He looked at himself in his mirror, running a hand through his hair and pulling a few faces at himself before sitting on the side of his bed, scrolling through the messages on his phone and replying to a few.
After about five minutes, he placed his phone down on his bedside desk and lay down on top of the covers, his eyes shut. He’d missed being able to have long talks with his dad, well, he’d missed his dad in general. If anything, he was sure that this idea was the only thing that was going to help him get to sleep. He smiled and sat up when he heard the knocks on his door. “Cuddle meee!” he laughed softly and held his arms out to his dad, smiling at him.
Louis never saw the nearly an adult Aleks truly was whenever he saw his son. No, instead he always saw his little boy, not a day over 7. He just couldn't acknowledge the fact that he was getting older--that he himself was getting older. Nope. That wasn't happening.
Louis smiled widely, running over and jumping into the bed. He cuddled his son close to his chest, kissing his nose. "I love you. I got you." His small, dainty hands rubbed circles into his back, humming lightly. "Sleep, my love."
