theros alterego: Demetrios the Lightning Walker. Tinkerer, electromancer and disciple of Keranos.
Demetrios the Lightning Walker, a brilliant artificer whose shop in Meletis attracts no end of wary attention. Some believe him to be an avatar of the Storm God himself, but the electromancer denies it at every opportunity, as a sign of respect to his deity.
The citizens of Meletis entrust him with the repairs of their gadgets, and his input is often sought by the Stonewise Fortifiers when they are in the planning stages of a new civil architecture project.
Cymede's Vision
Cymede stood boldly before the seething storm, torrential rains buffeting her. The wine-red gown she favored, lashed by wind and rain-soaked, clung to her shape. Violent explosions of lightning sundered the dark skies over the mountain, and below she could see agonized waves collapsing in fierce defeat upon the shoals. Squinting her eyes to keep the stinging rain at bay, she lifted her bare arms upward, extending her fingers toward the thick stormclouds that obscured the stars of Nyx, and shouted into the tempest: “What would thou ask of me, O mighty God of Storms?”

Mighty Lord Keranos, how do you feel about Golems? also the occasional Djinn
From what I’ve glimpsed in the scrying storms, I don’t trust the djinn. Perhaps I see a little of myself in them. Regardless, it is lucky for the pantheon of Nyx that they stay the hell away from Theros.
Golems are another thing entirely. I’ve long-admired the craftsmanship of Purphoros. I certainly have ideas for some pretty bonkers golems, but I lack the Forge-God’s patience and steady hands.
There was also this one mortal … Pygmalion, perhaps? He had a way with golems, too, as I recall …

Nervous Habits 47’ x 47’ Acrylic, Canvas and Blanket on Wood Panel
Alright here are my final paintings I was talking about!
They are about my feelings of anxiety and losing oneself in thoughts. I painted figures engaging in my my nervous habits of tearing apart strings and unweaving myself. The figures are isolated and nearly lost in all the chaos of the painting.
I tore apart old paintings and collaged them onto the panel as a way to destroy my oldself and create something from my negative feelings. And I used different painting techniques to reflect my habits. Peeling my skin, biting nails and pulling hair and overall destroying myself.
Those who knew me last year, I fell into a huge spiral of despair and had to withdraw from the semester. This project was a means to display my own weakness and to become stronger for it. And it is also a way for me to explore myself and my own thoughts and habits I engage in.
These paintings are currently displayed as part of the ‘Appropriately Titled’ art exhibition at the Visual Arts Gallery in Springfield Illinois and will be up until May 15th
