ANNOUNCEMENT

I’m going to be moving my blog to a new account!

This one will remain up with all of its posts, but it’s url will be changed. The new blog will also go by “allzyfont”, but I’m ultimately going for a fresh start.

I’ll make a notice when the change takes place!

I feel that I have grown and changed a lot since I first made this blog, (with all its current clutter and disorganization.) This ‘restart’ will reflect who I am now as a person and an artist- and best of all, it’ll be for me.

As much as I’ve loved my time on Tumblr, I think that it’s high time for me to turn a new leaf. However, I don’t want to be pushing out things primarily for other people; I do art because that’s what I like to do, and that’s a very personal thing.

Furthermore, I believe that this change will be better for my mental health when it comes to handling social media.

Cheers! ^^/ I’m excited for future art and stories! Have an Avery doodle for now.

I may see you again in the future. For now, though, this blog will remain mostly stagnant.

OKAY I KNOW I KNOW THIS COULD BE OVER THINKING BUT ALSO IT WOULD BE PRETTY COOL OKAYSO HEAR ME OUT.

Building represents Avery. Avery is the one on the outside but the inside there is something darker but it’s also an integrated part of him therefore it’s not as harsh. But then we get to see Avery himself the blue is far more contrasting and it’s the dark blue. And we can also see on the other people their blue uniforms aren’t quite like that. So there’s certainly a contrast here that was intentional. But also Avery glancing away at his peers when they look at him with adoration + excitement, only for him to look away.

Hello everyone! I finally feel like I’m at a good point where I can start sharing some more information about this little project! >.<

Welcome to our first look at Variations! So far, I have sixteen pages planned for this little peek into the world of Horsemen and it’s main character. There’s so much that I’m excited to share and I hope that y’all are just as pumped as I am! This page is actually the first, but I felt like it also works as a good icebreaker 👀

The comic will be in limited color (gradient maps) so that I retain my sanity 😭 Please remember that I’m also a full-time student working on this comic alone and that these things take time! I’ll do my best to start posting pages as soon as I can 🥺

Heya! My name is Allzy. I’m a (mostly) self-taught hobbyist artist with a passion for storytelling. This blog is here for me to showcase my art and to talk about my interests. I enjoy drawing, writing, and composing music!

Although most of my posts are OC-centric, I find interest in many other existing works, particularly traditional stories, books, movies, comics, and individual creators. Hey so DotL may have inspired a short fic. and it’s still rough it’s not cleaned up yet and it will be literally like five weeks until it is, but would you mind if I put it out into the world space eventually? Also wondering if you wouldn’t mind giving me permission to attempt to voice the comic, just wondering, might not end up actually ever happening but

Heck yeah you can do those things! (Be advised that for dumb legal reasons I can’t read the fanfiction, though. But I’m stockpiling everything so I can read them all when the story is finished.)

But yeah everything made that’s inspired by or based on DotL has my blessing. Y’all don’t need to worry about me policing you about your stuff. Go nuts.

I’m assuming the legal things are like if a future plot point is inspired by a fic sent to you, and the rights to the idea??

You kind of got it - I have the entire story planned out, but if someone comes up with an idea I’ve come up with, too, and publishes it in a fic before I’m able to get to it in the comic myself, they can’t claim that their idea originally inspired it and sue me for theft if I never saw their work.

Back when Steven Universe was airing, people were claiming that the crew were reading online theories about the story and stealing them to use in the show, when in reality the audience was just picking up on foreshadowing.  That’s why a lot of studios have a policy of returning unsolicited pitches, scripts, etc, unopened to the sender.

But yeah anyway go nuts. I’ll read it when I’m all done!

This is the worst thing. The worst. Because they all know climate change is real and dangerous, but instead of doing something about it and save lives and prevent an ecocide, they’re making money off it. They’re churning out fake studies showing that coal is great and they’re using their media to brainwash morons into hating the green movement and they’re moving like sharks on anyone trying to do anything good, and meanwhile they fucking know we’re right and they’re fucking getting rich because of it. 

Again: not a fan of the death penalty, but this should be considered high treason and people should be beheaded in public squares for this kind of bullshit.

…Okay but actually y’all should be aware that the new trend of complicated anime eyes is actually a very serious problem, because it’s literally impossible for the artists to draw those stupid fucking eyes quickly enough to earn a living.

If you don’t want to read the article, the problem is they make production slow to a crawl, so doing three frames with complicated eyes in them will take about two hours. The average pay for one frame is 200 yen, which comes out to about two dollars. These are grown ass adults doing their fulltime job to pay their bills. And these god awful eyes are making them do two hours of work to earn six dollars.

The detailed eyes are not a good thing.

Japan’s animation industry is *grossly* abusive to it’s employees. Animators are constantly being forced into crunsh for minimal pay.

Animation jobs should be saleryed. The entire concept of “compensation per fram” is absolutely horrible and is what we should focus our energy on.

Like how can you read “These people get paid 6 bucks for 2 hours of work” and blame the thing they produced rather then the industry model that causes them to be so grossly under payed?
