I know this AU has garnered like, zero traction in the time its come out,(frankly I have NO idea how to share this around) but I wanted to give an update to those who care, if any are still around.
The AU is not dead, I want to make that very clear.
It's just on hiatus, as I get things sorted out with personal things that are affecting my work habits, and also take a break to work on my original story and characters, a story and characters that I plan to publish as an actual book series in the next decade or so.
You don't know this, but I worked on Delta Knights for all of late 2020, and MOST of 2021.
The reason why I had all of those short chapters of Delta Knights ready and waiting for a release, able to release them weekly, was because I finished one every single month.
Granted, that's not THAT much since most of the episodes are seven thousand words long, these are apparently bite-sized, but, it was a lot of work for me and I feel like 2021 was the year where I was actively developing my skill as a writer, I didn't even get dialogue done properly, in a way that's both fun for me to write AND acceptable for publishing, until fairly recently. (in layman's terms: no more screenplay style, going full novel now)
I've been working on Delta Knights and practically have the ENTIRE story done in my head, ready to be put on paper for the world to see, though putting it on paper, as you can imagine, is a lot harder than it looks.
Not to mention that because I was working on it for so long, I kinda wanted a break, and I truly rediscovered my OCs like last year, and have been spending the last few months developing them.
The last Delta Knights episode, I finished in January.
That may SEEM daunting but I promise, I'm not gonna quit this AU unless I absolutely have to.
I see people like Zarla STILL working on Handplates after all these years and they've undoubtedly got stuff going on in their life, what, six years later? (i don't know Zarla's pronouns) My opinions on her work aside, LynxGriffin was a storyboard artist on My Little Pony but ALSO did Dogs of Future Past AND Paper Trail.
Even if I DO achieve my dreams, and my story is like five books in, and I'm getting gigs as a Voice Actor like I've always wanted, I'm still gonna be working on Delta Knights.
So buckle up, you're not getting rid of me juuuuust yet.
