Does anyone make a subcompact pistol in 5.7 for CCW?

Not that I know of and I doubt that anyone would really want to make one. While the 5.7 is a good round, in fact many believe superior to the H&K 4.6, it was designed as a PDW cartridge for the FN handgun and the P90. FN determined that the round needed a barrel length of at least 4 to 5 inches to achieve the velocity needed to give it the punch required to be effective.

I have the Ruger PCC in the caliber and I like it very much. As far as sidearms go I have fired the FN, the Ruger, and the S&W M&P in the round. Out of all of them I liked the Smith the best but it has a barrel length of 5 inches. Not impossible to conceal carry but not easy.

I just got my FN back and hoping to shoot it for the first time later today. Really the only reason I bought it is that it was too good of a deal to pass up. Brand new in the case with extra magazines and 800rds for $700, how could I say no?!

Last time I looked at the five seven it was something like $1300. On ammoseek I found several listed closer to $850. So even before all that ammo that's a screaming deal.

I finally got to shoot it today too! It has much lighter recoil than I expected. The stock open sights were way off and I didn’t have the time, bench, or ammo to dial it in but I know she cycles well and roughly where the sights are pointed now. It’s a pretty smooth pistol and I am pleased with my purchase.

Now, if they're trained properly, that's something slightly different, but even then, trained animals like chimpanzees and stuff, still rip people's faces off and kill them.
