Blade, Kuya, and e-droid dismantling.

Kuya takes Blade's offer of disassembling himself after all when they get back to the mansion (a bit frustrated the fight didn't get very far, but at the very least taking a closer look at the e-droid's inner workings might prove interesting) and Blade's all like "Oh yeah! Of course, I do this for Little Chick all the time~!". Cue Kuya immediately growing sour and turning heel, "I've suddenly lost interest. Playing scientist like young master Rei is too dull, I'll just wait until I have another opportunity to disassemble you myself" leaving Blade a little confused. Why does Ku-ku seem so frazzled? He's been around a couple of times during Little Chick's examinations, watching from the trees outside Little Chick's home, has he not wanted to come inside all along? "Then, when can I come over? It made me happy you are so curious about my e-droid body so I want to show you soon, Ku-ku! I'll make sure you can get a good look without having to hide in the trees!" Unfortunately Ku-ku doesn't seem that keen on the idea anymore, but it might be due to Blade yelling it into a corridor for the whole mansion to hear. Even then Kuya still looks forward to it a little.

I'm one of those people lol I mean, I'm staying in my own little bubble for now, so I don't know what other people are saying or their reasoning for those takes; however, personally speaking, I have had the hc/theory for a long time now that Kuya has beef or some frustrations with Blade, most likely related to Huey. My worst fear was that Kuya was completely apathetic to Blade because they have interacted so little in 4 years, so it doesn't matter to me whether he likes him or hates him, as long as he cares, for better or for worse haha (naturally, my hope is that it's more complicated than that).

If he was just looking forward to fighting him all along (sweating and panting) that's peachy too because it means he has noticed him and holds him in high regard and considers him a worthy opponent to spar with (and see sweating and panting).

I don't care if Nu Carnival is technically a Harem game where all of the clan members are only banging Eiden. All of the clan members are in a polycule. They have all fucked each other at least once. Eiden is just the one that gets passed around the most. They all have little domestic-romantic moments together. Love (lust) is good

The game would never go this far but I still dream of Kuku running his fingers through Blade's wires after his claws pierce through and he pulls out. The light graze against the inside part of Blade's core 🥰. The extreme sensation Blade can't distinguish between pain and arousal, everything just feels too hot and there's a loud noise coming from everywhere. Maybe he slumps over and his head falls lightly on Kuya's shoulder, giving the fox a couple extra seconds where his fingers get to wander a little hehe.

there are many factors affecting nuca’s fan culture and engagement level and character literacy, but one that stands out to me at year 5 is that none of the previous event stories have been formally released for free through the game itself—you can only read past events through reruns, or reread them after you have played new ones for the first time. and they only rerun events once, in the following year, and never again.

so if you started playing this year, unless you pirate, you have no legit access to the character interactions and growth from events from years 1-3. and this is made significantly worse by the card-locked chara stories, which you can’t access either because you have to wait for a special pull event which hosts them. you pull rerun cards with a separate paid currency than new cards. the rates are abysmal. ftp players are forced to pick a favorite and hope they can get every copy of that specific character, which means their pull success for the rest of the ensemble cast is circumstantial given that they’re only pulling on their fave chara events. which means they’re only getting a threadbare and spotty experience of the other character’s story.

pirated stories are out there for folks to find but that extra step is too much of a bother or insurmountable for many, because piracy literacy is also down—and in some regions of the world, the fan opinion around piracy is so low that they simply won’t. and that keeps the gacha exclusives profitable because people will buy duplicates for themselves before they will share with others.

this is to say that 1) piracy is not a priority for me re: nuca because i started playing shortly after the year 1 anniversary and thus through reruns and new events i have ‘kept up’ with the game and 2) i came on just in time to miss out on the rerun of the white day event, which i have no way of reading officially, even 3 years after it originally ran.

and for new players……unable to read past events from the year 1-3 peak of character development………….they literally just have less to work with and they’re taking these characters at face value with no context. no fucking wonder their takeaways are as if they’re playing a wholly different game. because they’ve missed out on 90% of the everything!

One more thing I really wanna draw....tickles me to think of rin in the modern school au trying to systematically destroy eiden's 10 evil boy friends (not counting blade, that's his ally. Maybe if he can get blade to love him enough instead of his brother he won't have to destroy blade in the future...Hed also really rather not destroy Garu, that's like his entire social group, blown to smithereens). Except rin has no power here and it's the normal world so all he can do is go to his book of dark arts he bought online and perform the most evil spells with his assistant blade who enthusiastically helps bc that's their date nights

Eiden bringing Dante home one day to see blade laid out on a pentagram on the floor with candles surrounding him as he cheerfully explains that he was helping rinrin send Dante's eternal soul to the seventh circle of hell- what's that rinrin? Oh yeah sorry, the ninth circle of hell :D

The idea of more than whatever the fuck is going on here, Dante is more transfixed on why blade is calling eiden darling lol. Priorities
