Vincent gave a knowingĀ āahā noise and nodded.
āYaotl has told me about something like that happening to him once. It wasnātā¦pleasant.ā
He turned to his cabinet, humming for a bit before pulling out a small book. Pages were flipped a few times before Vincent stopped. āHere we are! The ingredients are surprisingly simpleā¦well,Ā āsimpleā if you collect a lot of weird herbs and powders like me.ā
Vincent handed the book to Tortus. The list consisted of several ingredients;Ā āHeart flower petals, Healing fairy dust, Rose Quartz powder, 1 Hearty radish, 1 teaspoon of honey and sugar, 1 Endura shroom, 1 vanilla bean, 1 Endura Carrot, 1 Warm Safflina.ā.
Vincent was rummaging through the drawers of his cabinet, humming as he pulled out a few small jars, one Rose Quartz, and a hammer.
āThe Rose Quarts powder is the first thing I like to work on. Iāve got most of the plants here,ā Vincent gestured towards a few plants hanging from strange baskets.Ā āThereās one I keep in my garden.ā
He glanced up after setting up his work table.
āWould you mind fetching me a small jar in the kitchen? Itās got a few vanilla beans in it.ā
Tortus nodded with an āof courseā. It took him a moment to find what was needed, but eventually came back with what Vincent asked for.
Tortus was glad he had asked Vincent. The man knew what he was doing and didnāt judge. Well, didnāt judge unreasonably. This was a large favor, and most potion makers didnāt dare touch potions like this. There was good reason, of course, but it left Tortus with little option but to scratch his neck and try someone else. Luckly, Vincent agreed. Of course, it probably helped that Vincent knew Tortus well enough.
Vincent thanked Tortus and took the vanilla beans from him.
The rose quarts had been smashed into fine powder. Vincent took great care searching his belt for a thin enough knife to slice open the vanilla beans. He hummed happily while scraping the insides into a bowl, before heading to his cabinet.
He searched for a moment.Ā āHmm, where is it? That jar should be in here.ā
Unable to find that jar, Vincent glanced towards Tortus.
āWould you mind watching over my workspace while I get a certain ingredient? I might have left it at Yaotlās smithing station.ā
He rushed out the door, calling over his shoulder,Ā āDonāt let the kids in, they donāt need to get into anything dangerous!ā
