He could hear their chants from downstairs, and immediately walked to the bottom of the staircase to greet them. “Waffles! Waffles! Waf- Daddy!” They chirped in unison, jumping into his outstretched arms when the reached the last step. He shifted his crouching position to kneeling on one knee, so Alex could stand and hug him, while Julie sat on his lap.

“Waffles ‘re done?” Alex asked, smiling even wider when his father nodded in reply. He set Julie down, and the two raced to the table where the stacks of hot waffles sat. Two bowls of syrup were set at Primal and Alex’s places as well, the young boy having picked up the habit from his father. Primal stood up, grinning at Siarc as she reached the last few stairs. He opened his arms for her. “Are you just as excited to see me?” He chuckled and only pulled away from the kiss they shared at Julie’s comment.

“Ew, old people love!” She shouted. “Ryan says tha’s yucky!”

He shook his head. Julie seemed to have some sort of odd liking to Ryan, a man he never found himself close to at all. The fascination came from his powers, and since she saw him transform into a lion, she wanted to become animals just like he did. Her father believed Ryan was a bad influence, and hoped Julie would just stick to an animal-related profession at the most. “Jules…”

She looked down at her feet and mumbled, “Ry’s go’ cool powers, bu’ Daddy doesn’ like when I listen to ‘im…” She felt bad that her father wasn’t happy with her at the moment, and looked up at him with her big, blue eyes.

He could never stay mad at her for long, if at all. He loved her and the rest of his family more than anything in the world, he couldn’t stand having any of them think he felt anything negative towards them. He immediately picked Julie up, kissing her forehead while Siarc let out a giggle. “Hey, cheer up. You know what? Why don’t you and Al go upstairs to see if Uncle Mar wants waffles.” Her face lights up at the mention of her godfather, and she wiggles around in an attempt to get free. He sets his daughter down as Alex runs over to the base of the stairs. 

They hopped back up the staircase, chanting, “MarMar! MarMar!”

In his dream, Mar was flying somewhere over the Pacific, peacefully flapping his arms over the water. Suddenly, his name was being chanted all around him, but he couldn't tell from where the noise was coming from. Until, of course, two tiny bodies were suddenly jumping on his own, alternating between screaming 'MarMar!' and 'Waffles!'. 

Sitting up, he wrapped his arms around the two wiggling bodies and laughed sleepily. "G'morning, kids!" 

"Mornin' MarMar!" They chirped in unison, trying to hug him at the same time. It ended up being an awkward group hug that had them all laughing and giggling. 

It was still early in the morning, and he should have been tired, but the excitement of seeing his godchildren, and seeing his best friend was too much, and instead he found himself almost skipping to his closet and grabbing a shirt and pants. The kids just watched him, bouncing excitedly on the bed. 

"Did your dad burn the waffles?" He asked as he adjusted a few screws on the mechanical contraption that covered his entire right arm. Since the day Tony had made it for him, he'd slowly been gaining his mobility back, and was now just as comfortable wearing it as before the incident. 

Alex shook his head, then jumped off the bed, almost falling flat on his face in the process. "Nuh uh! Yummy waffles!" And then he was gone, running --or stumbling, more like-- back down to the kitchen. Jules stayed where she was, waiting for Mar to finish. 

As he finished adjusting his arm, he turned back to Jules and held his hand out. It had been a shock, at first, to hear that Primal and Siarc had named her after his daughter, but once he warmed up to her, he realized that he'd have it no other way. The twins were pleasant to be with, when they weren't fawning over Ryan, or getting into trouble, but that was normal for children their age. 

Still thinking about the twins, he walked downstairs, spotting Primal easily. "Morning, Pri. Thanks for the wake up call." He took a seat in front of a plate of waffles, smiling at them. "Where's Si?"

Getting Ready || [Closed]

There was something Mar wanted to do tonight, something that he felt needed to happen. He was nervous, though. Tony said he was still trying to process what was going on, still trying to figure out how he felt, and Mar didn't want to push him or anything, but at the same time...

He didn't want to wait too long, and lose the chance to be with Tony again forever. The fear of losing Tony forever prompted him to schedule a romantic beach dinner for the two of them. 

Digging through his suitcase, Mar pulled out a white linen suit combo that wouldn't look too terrible with a pair of old flip flops. Once the pants and shirt were on, he winced. Through the sleeve of his right arm, his burns were visible, all red and pink and slowly healing. He frowned, but then shook his head. Tony would be fine with them. Hopefully. Most likely. 

Before he could back out of this, he slipped on a pair of old flip flops, grabbed his wallet, then walked out of his room and towards the local restaurant. Hopefully Tony would see the note slipped under his door and come on time.

Description of Mar's burns (rather descriptive, with pictures, click at your own risk)

On his right arm, the outer skin is completely gone, leaving a splotchy red/white/pink (depending on the area) layer of healing skin. This is permanent, though it will eventually look like this everywhere. At the moment, since it's still healing, it looks like this, just more splotchy and covering a wider range of skin. The skin on the outer part of his hand already looks like the first link, and because it's for the most part entirely healed, he has trouble bending his hand, because the skin is so tight now. 

He's not ashamed of these news scars, but he is worried about how people around him will react to them, so he keeps them covered in bandages, Under Armour sleeves, etc, and also a glove for his hand.

Leaving TSI || Self Para

There's a small duffle bag packed with clothes sitting next to Mar's door, and he's staring at it with determination. His breathing is slow and controlled, and his hands are sitting on top of his mostly lame legs. At the moment, his mind is completely focused on getting the duffle bag 2,913.8 miles across the nation, and back to the empty house in California. 

After ten full minutes of staring, stiff bodied, the bag suddenly disappears, and Mar lets out a harsh breath. Exhaustion settles into his already wary body, but he shakes it off and grabs the cane leaning next to him and pushes himself onto his feet. It's hard to walk, but he's got this lurching wobble that seems to work better than being stuck in a wheelchair. As he sighs through his nose, Mar looks around his regularly empty room and nods. 

This is for the best. 

Everything will be fine. 

Everything will work out in the end.

Moving with his lurchy old man steps, Mar leaves the room. It feels like there's a part of him that's trying to stay, and it almost physically hurts to close the door one last time.  

"This is for the best. Everything will be fine. Everything will work out in the end."

If he says it out loud, it's more likely to happen, or at least, that's what he tells himself as he takes the elevator to the outside world and takes a taxi to the nearest airport. There, hidden among the larger planes is a small private jet. 

"This is for the best. Everything will be fine. Everything will work out in the end."

That's what he tells himself again as he hobbles up the steps of the plane. And that's what he tells himself as he gets off the plane several hours later in California. 

And that's what he continues to tell himself as he steps out of a taxi and stands in the yard of his Santa Monica beach home, for the first time, in five years. For the first time, since Amanda's death.

Mar shook his head slowly, almost as if he were coming out of a daze when he heard Tony's smart remark. "N-no, of course not," he answered breathily, a blush staining his already heated cheeks. 

"We should probably take t-this inside," His last word was on a moan as he tossed his head back and tried to press his hips closer into Tony's hand. He could feel himself pulsing and throbbing in time with his heartbeat and he wanted to get closer, but knew that they really needed to bring this into their room, because like Tony said, the French might not like seeing whatever it was they ended up doing.

I-- wow, really, Pri? That's.. that's amazing, I'm so proud of you for overcoming your past and finally realizing that you two are perfect for each other. [/he gives Primal a fond smile and scratches his neck]

Advice? Shit, Pri, I dont know. Um, when I proposed to Amanda.. well first of all, we were really, really drunk. That's my first bit of advice. Dont be drunk, please. Ah.. I also lost her engagement ring! Dont do that either! 

Just, pick a nice, quiet place. Or would Siarc like it to be in public? That's something you should try to ask her. IF she wants somewhere private, I can maybe escort you two out somewhere in the city. Or you can use the roof? It has a very nice view. When it comes to special things like this, I would say let her do all the decision making. I was pretty whipped when Amanda was around, if you couldnt tell. It just made things smoother, ya know? Hmmm. Come up with something sweet and sincere to tell her as you propose, too! I'm sure she would love that very much.

But I also think that you and Siarc are meant to be together, and no matter if you do screw up like I did, she will say yes and everything will be perfect.

1. What does their bedroom look like?

Mar's bedroom is neat as hell, almost painfully so. He organizes his shirts in his closet first by design (polo, tee, etc) and then by color. His pants are organized by designer. He only has a few pairs of shoes, and they're the only things that are ever really messy. His bed is always made, and actually he rarely ever sleeps under the covers so he usually just fixes the comforter when he wakes up. The only other things that are messy are his books and notebooks, which are just kind of haphazardly tossed in a corner.
