This is a blog dedicated to designing outfits based off of Disney characters. Yes, there are other blogs who do this already using polyvore, but that's what makes this blog different; everything seen in the collages is straight from Old Navy. Why Old Navy, you ask? 1. Because I work there, and this gives me something to do on the slow days. Instead of staring at the clock and counting down how much time I have until I can leave, I can browse the merchandise, designing outfits in my head. 2. Old Navy is both cheap and widespread. I've noticed that with a lot of the polyvore designed outfits, some of the things are pretty expensive. If your money is as tight as mine, there's no way you can afford that stunning Belle- esque dress at $175, no matter how legit it looks. Old Navy is not only cheap, but found all through the nation, and there's the website of course, so it should be easily accessible to everyone. 3. The stock at Old Navy comes and goes fairly quickly, which means I have the chance to constantly redesign outfits. You weren't a fan of the dress chosen for Pocahontas? Chances are Old Navy will have something similar to replace it within the next couple of months and I can create a new ensemble around it. Feel free to request your favorite character! Even if it's done before, I'll try to make a new, original outfit for you. :) I may work for Old Navy, but I am not doing this under their leadership. I'm also not working for Disney. This is just for my own personal entertainment, and hopefully yours as well. Click here to follow my personal.
Character: Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid
Details: Requested by rise-from-my-ashes. This one was pretty easy. The trickiest part was finding something to work for his red belt. Seeing as Old Navy had no red belts, I chose a red-ish scarf instead. The print on it is little sailboats, so it perfectly fits Eric's nautical theme. The rest of the outfit should speak for itself.

Character: Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet
Details: Requested by rise-from-my-ashes. She liked the old one I'd done, but because It's been so long since I posted it, the items are no longer in stock, so I made a new one. I know Jim's shirt isn't striped, but I was going more for the color. Also, although Jim's boots appear black, the jacket needed to be brown, and the outfit looked a bit funny with a brown jacket but black boots. However, the boots are available in black, so you could always mix it up a bit.

Character: Merida from Brave
Details: Surprisingly enough, I had a hard time picking an outfit for Merida. There were tons of options that would work for her, so this may be the first of several Merida outfits. I chose a long dark blue dress similar to hers and used the necklace as sort of an accent piece since her hair is one of her boldest characteristics. The belt is similar to the belt she wears to hold her quiver and the shoes... I'm not entirely happy with. I perhaps could have chosen a better option, but I wanted them to match the belt and be flat like hers are. In those aspects, I think they were the best choice.

This past week or so has been awful. I've been dealing with a breakup that completely floored me. I could barely convince myself to get out of bed most of the time, let alone do anything productive, including running this blog.
But I am feeling much better now, so if you guys haven't given up on me completely and unfollowed, then I'm back, and I'm working on the requests. :)
Ooh, good choices! I've been considering doing a non-human character, so Simba seems like as good a place to start on as any! Minnie - classic, of course. I actually started one for Pocahontas! But... then two of the "statement" items that basically made the outfit "her" went out of stock, so I've been trying to recreate it.
Great choices! I'll get right on them! And thank's for requesting some. I'm bored out of my mind right now. xD
I really like this. I've wanted to do some Disney outfits for when I go to the parks, but they're all so expensive! But, being from Old Navy, I can now get ideas for outfits from you! Thank you for being super awesome. :3
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like the idea! Let me know if there's any particular character you'd like to see; I'd be more than happy to try to create something for you! :)
I know I've only got seven followers, but if any of you have a certain character you'd be interested in seeing, you're more than welcome to let me know in my ask box! :D
Male, female. Baby, adult. Live action, animated. Anything you want.
Character: Flynn Rider (Eugene Fitzherbert) from Tangled
Details: To be completely honest, I'm not sure this outfit would actually look right in real life; wearing the tunic over that shirt might be problematic... but the idea was to layer them, unbuttoning the buttons of the blue shirt and leaving the sleeves rolled up on the white. The belt, again, I'm not sure would work the way I was thinking: to remove the blue string of the tunic and cinch the belt there instead. If it didn't, you could always omit the belt or wear it through the belt loops of the pants instead. Also, the bag can be converted to a cross-body bag.

Character: Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean
Details: This was harder than I thought it would be, and doesn't look quite as "authentic" as I would have hoped, but I still think it fits pretty nicely. Since we don't currently have a vest that I believed would work, I replaced it with a cardigan (which is perfect since we're heading into fall). The shirt I pictured above the cardigan is not the same one shown underneath it, but one I chose because I thought would look slightly better with the overall outfit. The belt is meant to be worn over the shirt and cardigan, to cinch the waist. The scarf is described as "coral pink," and since we don't have it in my store I can't be totally sure, but I'm pretty sure it's closer to the reddish color shown.
Items:
Character: Dopey from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Details: Since we don't currently have any hats that were similar enough to Dopey's, I used the purple color of the hat as an accent color elsewhere, namely as a cami under the shirt. The gemstone necklace is referencing the fact that the dwarfs are all miners.

Character: Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet
Details: The colors of the shirt and jacket are a bit off, but they were the closest I could get in both color and style. I didn't choose boots for this outfit because this is clearly a more "fashion-y" version of the Jim Hawkins style, and I didn't think the boots would work with everything else. I chose the sandals because the accent color on the boots is about that shade of brown, and they also have buckles like his boots.
